The Great: The view & location were excellent! The property was tastefully decorated, clean and consistent with the listing. Close enough to walk to Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile and Downtown, and we felt very safe walking during the day & after dark. The coffee shop was great, and we were greeted with friendly, professional and kind lobby attendants who made us feel at home! The Good: Instructions for getting into the property and for check-in/out were great. Sheets, beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was smaller than expected, but very clean. There was a great shower, adequate towels, and enough hot water for 4 adults to shower consecutively. There were freestanding air conditioning units in each bedroom which allowed us to set our temps differently. The rooftop deck was lovely and gave beautiful views of the city at night! The Bad: There were a few issues, some of which might not matter much but that are worth noting. The kitchen was not stocked as much as some VRBOs in our other experiences. There were plenty of coffee mugs, stemless wine glasses and low-ball glasses, but only one larger glass. There was salt and pepper but literally nothing else, including coffee, olive oil, or other basic seasonings. If we had needed to cook, it would've been pretty challenging. The a/c unit in the smaller bedroom sometimes (but not always) made an incredibly annoying clicking sound that interfered with sleep. And the absence of blackout curtains, sunshine, and tall mirrored buildings meant bright sunlit bedrooms from 5am. And there were mirrors positioned near power outlets other than inside the one bathroom. The dishwasher is not sufficiently installed into the cabinetry. We thought at first that we weren't going to be able to use it because it moved and didn't seem to close completely. We were able to get it to work properly, but it does need attention. And lastly, the gas fire feature on the rooftop could not be started. It was a chilly night, and being able to enjoy the rooftop longer would have been the absolute "cherry on top" of a perfect day! The Ugly: The locking mechanisms to exit the unit were installed incorrectly and made unlocking the door difficult. In an emergency, it would have been a huge safety hazard, and even without one, it was a huge annoyance! Overall, 4.5 stars!

The property was great - penthouse with easy access to the rooftop patio. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to take full advantage of the patio, but it was very nice and would be great on a warm sunny day. Pictures of the property are accurate and it is a great place for 3-4 people to stay. Lots of food and drink within walking distance and a short Uber ride to plenty of tourist attractions. I would return for another stay.

this property was exactly as described. it was a great penthouse with amazing views - one block from the lake and 2 blocks from the amazing shopping on the mag mile. also schedule your 360 deck at the john hancock. Amazing views

We stayed here for two weeks while our son was in treatment at Shirley Ryan. The location was perfect and an easy walk to the hospital. There's a cute family breakfast spot around the corner and a nice park. The apartment was clean and nicely appointed. Concierge downstairs were helpful. We'll be back. Thank you!

The place was clean with great views. It had a great location with the ability to walk just about anywhere you’d want to go within the city.

Great property…exactly as depicted. Wonderful communication with property manager. Comfortable beds, cozy linens, fluffy towels. Amazing views…and a fantastic location. The staff within the building were all so helpful and kind. Gym facilities + club room + rooftop just added to the experience. The most perfect coffee shop ground level and the biscuits ❤️. I'm a traveling entrepreneur and I like to visit really nice vacation properties at the city center of a given location. This location was perfect. It was so awesome, I slept in both bedrooms just to take in the lake views. The property management team was very responsive and communicative throughout my stay. Even the people who lived in and worked at the building were just lovely. While I am a Chicago native, I currently live in California and have never experienced Chicago in this way. I'm so happy I booked this location.

This apartment was perfect for our two couples traveling to Chicago. It was a great location- you could see the lake out every window. So many restaurants and shops to walk to. We parked our cars when we got to town and didn’t need them again until we left! The owners were very prompt when responding to questions. The place had everything we needed! We will definitely stay here next time we come to Chicago!

Very secure building with a nice coffee shop off the lobby. Comfortable beds and comfortable furniture. Very easy communication with management when questions arise. Easy walking distance to lakefront as well Michigan Ave. Would recommend this location for sure!! Thanks

El lugar muy buena ubicacion pero lo malo fue que el piso de la alfombra estaba muy peligroso en los dos cuartos al quitarnos los sapatos y caminar por las orillas te lastimas con los clavos de la carpeta a mi hija le salio sangre en el pie por el daño de los clavos y nosotros tambien nos lastimamos y lo otro que no me gusto fue que no pudimos mirar la tv no tenia control y nos fue aburrido estar ai las dos noches

We are in the suburbs of Chicago, so we knew the area we would be staying in was a prime location for Chicago. What made this 5 stars in every way is that the unit matched the location and provided for a great experience. The check-in process could not have been easier or more detailed in terms of explanation to make this go seamless and was simple. Upon entry to the unit- it was exactly as photographed! It was clean, spacious, and exactly as described. Could not have been better maintained and we knew we made a great pick! One floor up was a public sundeck which we enjoyed with the kids as well as had a drink. The view from our unit as well as from the deck were spectacular- and I would say if you are visiting from Chicago it is exactly what you would want. Even being from Chicago, we were amazed by the views! The location was prime as stated above. Walking distance to shopping, beaches, restaurants, bars as well as grocery if needed. It was just perfect and we really enjoyed the convenience. As mentioned in the listing- parking is not included, but once again the owners helped here- and parking was $30 and onsite... Cant beat that for 24-7 parking! Very happy with this to say the least and parking was covered so if you come in the winter- no issue there! Final little surprise was the coffee shop downstairs. Local owned- great coffee and pastry for adults and kids. Whether as a family or as a couple- plenty of space and we will return!
