I thought the place was very nice and roomy. Loved that it has the pool table. Loved the location. It was only a 20 minute walk to the Strand, 8 minutes to Whataburger or Arlans grocery store. A 15 minute walk to the beach. It is in a nice neighborhood and it's a nice old house. It has a big backyard if you have kids or pets.
Because it is an old house I'm sure the house shifts. The bedroom doors would not close. it wasn't a big deal for us because it was just family, but if you were wanting more privacy it might be an issue. The other thing, there is a camera on the back porch. The weekend we were there the weather was not very good but if it had been I would have wanted to hang out on the back porch. With a camera it just seems like someone's watching you. Also, the lighting in the house is very dim. I was going around opening the blinds so I could see better. The landscaping is a little over grown. The plants grow over the walk way coming into the house and they are grown over the patio and half the table on the back porch. With all that being said, I would still recommend this place and enjoyed my stay.

I liked everything about the property. The location was great not too far from the sea wall and everything you may have wanted for a family vacation. Space was everything made me feel right at home with a back yard big enough for the dogs and kids to run and play.
I really didn’t have a dislike just a minor thing that bothered me, the ac in the back room leaked on me for the first night but nothing major are a lot of water just a slight dripping.

The location was great.
Across the street, there's a homeless man living out of his truck. Our experience with the accommodations was less than satisfactory: the toilet had very low pressure and was uncomfortably close to the shower. Both beds were extremely hard, making sleep difficult, and the bath towels were rough. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, and neither of the TVs worked throughout our stay. The house itself was dirty with numerous bugs, a severe mosquito problem indoors, and a non-functional coffee maker. The front and back doors had significant gaps, and the back door was difficult to open. Additionally, there was a hornet infestation near the back porch.

Lovely , spacious home, well cared for. Enjoyed pool table. Convenient to beach & Strand.
Wind chimes outside bedroom window. Personal pref. only. They made a lovely sound but it was very windy 2 nights

The location was excellent, near the Strand. We loved the charm of this home and the fact it had medical books and a doctor obviously owned it or lived there. My son is an aspiring medical student. We liked the backyard also, palm trees, and again a very cozy warm feel.
The property management company is terrible. They are not keeping up with the upkeep as they should.
-parking passes not available upon entry in an area where they are required
-tea provided for rental guests had expired in 2016 (this is 2023)
-lights unplugged all over the house
-no instructional sheet upon entry to explain what is available or how to use it
-we had to make a request for blankets and pillow
-this house one entry only and it is a huge flight of stairs. This is NOT an ADA accessible property which should be noted.

Location was excellent. House was comfy. Had all the necessary amenities.
The place was surface clean but very dirty overall. Not the cleaning service fault. Very nasty under the couch beds and corners. Lift the couch cushions and see what you get. We were looking for the rv remote and was disgusted.
Also place had no parking passes and when I called the property they could not get any response from the property manager. No response at all. That sucked.

It is a cute house and the AC was really nice especially in the Texas heat. The decorations in the house also made it very cozy and there was many lights.
The beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable to sleep on. The toilet was also really close to the bathtub and my knees were almost touching the tub when I was on the toilet. (I’m 5’1”)
There was a red ant infestation in the kitchen, and there was only 1 washcloth to accommodate 4 people.

It was a beautiful home with a beautiful and spacious backyard!
The pool sticks need the tips replaced.
The couches need cleaning and the couch pillows had a stench so they need to be refreshed.

Location was perfect. House was beautiful. Yard was beautiful. Loved, Loved, Loved it.
Pricey, but we still loved it.
Would go there more often if it was less.
