I stayed at quite a few places in Poblado area, some of them with even higher rating than Nido Sky. I always ended up going back to Nido because there is simply no comparison in what you get. The spaciousness gives you feeling of home, not a "hotel room" (unmatched, period), modern design- done with great attention to details and functionality (I'd say the most use-friendly place I've stayed at not only in Medellin but on all my travels), privacy (elevator opens straight to your loft and you own the whole half of a floor of the building, walls being of solid concrete so the noise reduction from your neighbors is excellent compared to other hotels), the design itself- that you have large open views from both sides, tall ceilings, living area with a couch, tv, fridge, kitchen with basic but again well thought of utensils (nothing looks "cheap") everything executed in unique industrial yet fashion-like design. Massive attention to detail- as a builder-developer myself I can't emphasize this enough! In suite washer and dryer is super amazing plus. For a guy who uses their top floor terrace gym daily, I really appreciate the fact that I don't have to go bring my dirty laundry anywhere. Bed is very comfortable, the sleeping area can be separated for more privacy with a solid sliding wooden door. Bathroom boasts a HUGE bathtub build in unique design again. Water pressure is amazing, and hot water comes practically instantaneously. Electrical plugs on all the right places. Beautifully designed pool with a magic view on top floor. The staff is next level amazing. Very friendly, professional and helpful. They helped me with all my needs. Free water bottles (of top quality not the cheap stuff) and two beers waiting for you in the room upon check in. How cool is that?? Area itself is amazing too. Close to all the action but in a quiet street with little traffic (a real problem in many streets of Poblado).

Horrendously noisy. terrible quality fittings and many broken in a relatively new building. Bath drain was so small you are ankle deep in own shower water by the finish. washing machine and dryer mobs broken so correct settings difficult to set. Lift broke down for a few hours so had to walk 9 flights of stairs. Advertised as a private dwelling on Airbnb when clearly not.

Nido Sky exceeded my expectations! Highly recommend. Very spacious room with comfy beds, 2 full bathrooms, living room and fully stocked kitchen. The main bathroom feels like your at a spa. For the price this space was much larger and nicer compared to my friends hotels and airbnbs in the area. Very helpful staff. Strong wifi for my work video needs. Great location with tons of restaurants, cafes, bars in the area. Easy walk to public transportation.

The area can be loud at night so if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs.

Everything was amazing the view, the neighborhood was very quiet and tons of food choices. The front desk staff both day and night were on top of things and super friendly!!!

The only two issues I had were, the mattress could have been softer (I have a pillow top mattress at home) and the huge tub I couldn't get enough hot water to fill it. The shower in the other bathroom was amazing!!

Everything! This property was very private and safe with incredible amenities. Our own washer and dryer as well as a kitchen and some of the best views I’ve ever seen.

Here's why : 1) This is not a hotel. It is a airbnb-like apartment with no service what so ever, even not housekeeping (while I stayed 5 nights). 2) So noisy - impossible to sleep. When you arrive, the street seems rather calm. There is only a little local sport bar and a restaurant at 50 m. When you enter the apartment you wonder why they offer you complimentary ear plugs (true. see picture !!!). But as soon as you try to sleep for the first time, you understand : you feel like there are people and music in your apartment. Week nights and of course even worse during the weekend. Forget about getting any decent sleep. 3) No privacy what so ever + problem to get obscurity at night. The hotel seems new and has invested in the design of the apartment (yes, it looks nice). But obviously the designer has never stayed in a hotel. On one hand of the apartment (living and dining), you benefit from a large window (4m wide x 3 m high) .... but there is no curtain ! On the other hand (room), the bathroom also has a large window (2m wide x 2 m high) and no curtain either. It wouldn't be such an issue if the door of the bathroom was not a glass door. Forget about sleeping with obscurity .... and imagine how it can be if you stay as a couple (I was not, I was on my own) when your partner goes to the toilet at night : either she/he will go without turning on any light or she/he will wake you up. Not to mention the "pleasure" of having a toilet 1,5 m away from the bed with only a glass door in between. 4) Major maintenance problem and no support : on Saturday afternoon, the sink faucet no longer works and lets the water flow as if it were open. The security person downstair told me there is no maintenance available. She left a voicemail message to "her manager" but no one never got back to her until I left. Fortunately I found a way to shut down water from the emergency staircase.
