The property was clean, comfortable and well decorated, if a little outdated in quiet residential area of Hollingwood. A welcome box of tea and snacks was a great personal touch. Across the road is a small convenience store and 15 minutes walk away on Brimington High Street there is a small supermarket with a larger range of provisions. It is a few minutes walk to the main road where buses into town (10 minute journey) can be caught.

We stayed at the end of summer and the Autumn weight duvets were too hot. The single beds both had waterproof mattress protectors on which also made sleeping too hot.

Nice location for getting onto the Chesterfield Canal where you can walk for miles. Opposite a local shop ideal for milk and essentials. Quiet street. The Christmas tree and decorations were very nice. The bath is nice and long with pleanty of hot water. The property is warm (except the conservatory). Pet friendly, with an enclosed garden.

The kitchen needs more items. It would benefit from a decent knife that can actually cut sweet potato, a cafeteria and more plates/dishes (we donated a dish drainer). The dining room is actually the conservatory which has no heating so would not be pleasant to sit in in the winter. The boiler is in the twin bedroom and if you run the hot water or have the heating on at night is quite loud. The off road parking is in the garage, there is no driveway and the garage has furniture at the back so could be a problem for large cars. On road parking was fine, although it is near a junction.

Very pleasant home from home whilst waiting for my move abroad after sake if my house it was really useful having a garage as I had a lot of possessions in my car
