We had an awesome room at the end on ground floor! Friendly people. Definitely stay again!

This Best Western was exceptionally clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. It was a very pleasant stay.

It was exactly what we needed.

The staff was absolutely wonderful!! I gave cleanliness 4 stars because the first night we got into our room there was a dead roach under the sofa table. Other than that everything was wonderful! The bed was comfortable. The included continental breakfast was very good and presented in a very clean manner. We love visiting Appalachicola and St George Island beach. This was very quiet and convenient. We will definitely stay here again!

It was two stories. They had no rooms available on the first floor. No elevator. And my wife has limited mobility. The bathroom had black mold and rust

The carpet is filthy, the sidewalk outside the ground floor level was filthy, there was a terrible chemical odor in the bathroom (not cleaning supplies). We needed extra towels but were told the maids were off for the day (Saturday?!) so we could only get two pool towels. The ground floor air conditioners outside a couple rooms were leaking nasty liquid onto the sidewalk. The place is a mess since our last visit.

The room needs updating. The toilet remains low like the old toilet seats. The door hanger for the towel is broken. It looks like someone hanged a heavy object and it’s loose. The sink drain is also broken, the levers to keep it close and open is broke.

Nice large room. Even had a makeup mirror! Nice pool and decent breakfast. Laundry facilities. Nice staff.

The shower handle fell off and maintenance wasn't available so had to fix it myself. And the tub wouldn't drain ... needs a serious shot of Draino

Chill, quiet location. Not perfect, but staff is very friendly. It's pretty clean.

My stay was disappointing. After a walk on the beach we returned for a shower before dinner. There was no hot water in the shower. I tried the front desk 3 times. No answer. We ended up taking cold showers. Yuk. The next morning I went to the front desk to report that the shower did not have hot water. I was advised the shower did have hot water but I was using the handle wrongly. In order to get hot water the customer must turn the knob to the blue dot not the red dot. The manager was aware of the problem and simply said ‘very sorry about that’. How ridiculous. Across the US hot water comes from the red dot. The blue dot is always the cold side. Why was I not advised of this strange situation when I checked in? Better yet, why didn’t/doesn’t the hotel correct the situation?

The tv screen was not clean. Our bathroom had chipped counter/ sitting space . The washing machine was outside with cob webs and rust. The breakfast attendant was not helpful. She was more interested in limiting and cleaning up on the dot.

Staff and hotel were first class.

It is an older place with doors to the outside.

This was a perfect option to be away from the touristy areas yet close to shopping, restaurants, and 15 min to beautiful beaches! Very clean, friendly staff, great low cost option!

Front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and provided great service. The hotel is very clean and updated. Our only minor issue was that the soap dispensers in the bathroom (sink and shower) were both empty.

The room needs to be updated, however, it was clean and had all the basic comforts. If you are looking for just a room for a one or two night stay and are more interested in cost than in beauty, then this hotel will work just fine. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Area felt safe and close to town. Breakfast was not great but did the job and it is included in the price. I would stay here again.

We stayed in a room with 3 queen beds and a huge bathroom. It all looked recently renovated and very clean. Housekeeping was great and came in after the first night and tidied up and made beds, I find a lot of hotels no longer do this. Breakfast was above average and the lady hosting was so nice. We would definitely stay again!

The room was generally clean and comfortable, though it could use more light in the room. Our big problem was that they would not give us a first floor room. We had called weeks in advance and requested a first floor room, as my wife and I are both handicapped and there is no elevator. We were told it would not be a problem as long as we arrived early. We arrived before 5 and were told that no 1st floor rooms were available. And no elevator! So, they gave us a room on the side of the building where no handicapped parking was available, forcing 2 handicapped people in their 70's to haul 300 lbs of gear up a stairway. It took us nearly an hour to drag everything us the stairs, as rollers don't work with stairs. Same issue with leaving 3 days later. Other than that, the breakfast was good. TV worked well once we changed the batteries in the controller. Hair dryer did not work but they got us another promptly. Good shower, comfy beds. AC did not work well on arrival, so I cleaned the coils myself and then it worked fine. Doors badly need some weatherstripping, as rain blew in around our door. Staff was very friendly. Other than that, I guess we could have done worse.

The Best Western Appalachicola is conveniently located just a mile or so from downtown Appalachicola. There are many restaurants and shops in downtown Appalachicola. The hotel is clean, but could use some upgrading as in carpeting and general maintenance. The staff are very nice and welcoming.

Property very clean, wonderful pillows, air conditioner working ery well. Room spacious and clean. Love that the property is pet friendly. One or two streets over in walking distance is a street covered with a canopy of Live Oak trees. Beautiful. Would definitely stay again
