Our room was not serviced with towels etc. the bathroom was filthy. Missing light bulbs so it was very dark but at night the curtains didn’t meet and it was very bright from the light outside the room. The TV didn’t work. Ironically, a friend had stayed in the same room a few months ago and reported the TV didn’t work properly and it hadn’t been fixed. The crim safe door didn’t shut and someone opened it during the night and we could hear them trying all doors. No obvious security. Our car was broken into and the staff didn’t seem terribly interested. They knew and yet let us find it! The staff were disinterested in everything. The Police said it happens at the Diplomat all the time so we won’t be back and we would advise others the same.

It was evident the bathroom was not cleaned properly. There was sand in the shower and hairs on the floor of the bathroom.

As to be expected the street front rooms above the bar do get a bit noisy late into the night. Apart from that all good

Lovely big bed with crisp white sheets, v. good tv reception, great staff at reception. Bathroom dirty, mouldy, cockroach in there, frayed carpets etc. Good news is Stumps Cafe next door - great food. Bad news is noise from Uncle's Tavern until late on Fri and Sat nights, despite the Diplomat website stating that rooms were soundproofed. Not so.

Terrible experience at this Motel. All the staff were lovely and extremely. helpful. However, this was the only positive. Rooms were dilapidated; ripped carpets, broken hairdryer and the door lock was broken. More importantly, staying in this motel felt extremely unsafe. Directly underneath the rooms is a bar where several fights broke out during our short stay, resulting in police intervention. The gates are permanently left open (unlike other motels in the area), so anyone can access the rooms and cars within the motel. There was very loud screaming and fighting ongoing all through the night making it impossible to sleep. The photos are an inaccurate portrayal of the accommodation. I would recommend anyone not to stay here.

I had to ask for towels as none were in the room. I was given 1 towel and a bathmat, only soap was from the dispenser at the bathroom sink, no milk provided, door onto shared balcony was unlocked and partially open. The latch is partially broken Was told as I only had a debit card they needed a $200 deposit as well. When I checked out they did not explain that the room was going to be checked by the cleaner before giving my deposit back. I had to ask what was going on.

Liked the onsite restaurant and secure parking.

Very handy to centre of town

Room not cleaned for the flour nights we were there. Cutlery consisted of 1 spoon. Cups were chipped. No tv controller in room. No soap, nor body cleaner. Bed light not working. Bathroom light flickered the whole time. Generally grubby. Sheets were nice and clean though!

There was a mouse in the first room I was given. I got moved to a different section of the motel which was directly above the bar, facing the street, and incredibly noisy all night (Tuesday-Friday so not even weekend nights). The room was tired and in need of upgrading, and the bathroom had a strong smell of damp. However, all of the staff members I met were super nice, all keen to help, and very friendly. The laundry room is also well equipped and easy to use. I wouldn’t revisit or recommend this motel because of the mouse.

Bed linen and blanket was first class. On suite bathroom was adequate Very well priced and commensurate with condition Good security- felt v safe on the property and local environs. Alice Springs is a nice tidy town

The property was quiet, with a hot shower and a comfortable bed. Exactly and all that I needed.

Staff very helpful, suggested upgrade to my room to be quieter and ground floor. Room clean but curtains need replacing. I slipped in the spa when taking a shower. Receptionist ordered a taxi to airport for me. I enjoyed the surrounding shopping and local markets.
