Stayed here for an overnighter, before heading out elsewhere. A bit outside the main CBD, but good if that isn’t important. Also close to another shopping centre. Have stayed here a few times now. Inside rooms are nice and quiet, but the ones near the main room can be quite loud of a night.

Spacious room, seems slightly outdated but a fine stay and good price. Pool is good, although no bar or cafe on site which would make it a great stay! Property is quite a distance from the centre of town, local shops shut early on the weekend also (worth having a car). Staff were excellent and very friendly!

Place was nice, staff member were nice. Room were nice . This place is good for people who want slience and peaceful place. It’s little too far from city and there is no much to do here around the hotel.

Not a bad stay for a few nights in Cairns. The rooms were small but clean. Beds were not really that comfortable but were alright for 2 nights. The balcony overlooking the pools was excellent. The area around the pools was clean and the pools themselves were well kept. Very enjoyable area. The only downside was that it felt a little like swimming in a fishbowl as all of the rooms' balconies surrounded the pool area auditorium style. Not a bad stay overall.

Too far from the city;
Very scary local indigenous community on the buses and later in the day/evening (alcohol);
Room in very old condition and we had to get moved to another room due to the 4 lanes of traffic noise starting around 6am;
The Hotel has no dining facilities, so we had to walk to Raintrees Shopping Centre for all 3 meals each day (the evening walk scary due to the local drunks)

Nice a clean rooms…just the road noise is not ideal with the rooms backing onto the main road…would suggest booking rooms that back onto the quieter court side of the complex

I have stayed at this property over 10 times and my family stays too. Always clean, always friendly and always competitive. I have seen upgrades happening. It is my Cairns go to.Thank you and see you aoon.

Very noisy, room wasn’t dark enough at night, smoke came into the room, fridge didn’t work, no practical towel rack.
Shame as the landscaping is great with the two pools but not a place of comfort and relaxation, just a sleeping space.

Great value, clean, gorgeous pool, friendly staff. Would recommend.
The only thing missing was cafe/bar which would have been great for breakfast or sitting at pool. It’s a post-Covid thing, unfortunately.

the resort is to far out from cairns and it is expensive to travel into town every day, a small bus for guesses would be better.

They had everything we needed. A clean and nice facility with air conditioning. The pool area is beautiful and the front desk staff were so friendly. The only thing to mention was that we found a few hairs on the pillows and bedding. You also can not adjust the air con, but that wasn’t a problem for us because the setting it was on made the room plenty cool. We enjoyed our stay!

Inconvenient resort fees when we were unable to use any of the extra "resort" amenities. Pool and hot tub closed too early and were very small. Coffee bar not open early enough. No breakfast included. The hotel bag was cheap. Extra money for parking not great at all. An extra 65$ a day with parking and resort fees. Not worth the price, stayed at another hotel for cheaper with the same amenities in the same area with added FREE snacks and drinks in the room, should've stayed at that hotel again.

this is one of my favourite hotels ever. i highly recommend palm royale to everyone who visits cairns. the staff are all very friendly and helpful and make you feel right at home. rooms are so clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the hotel is just a stones throw away from the raintree shopping centre. palm royale is the perfect place to escape the madness of the city. you will definitely have a good time here, because i always enjoy my stays here :)

My stay at the hotel was marred by the presence of ants in the room. Despite notifying the staff, the issue was not promptly addressed, affecting the overall comfort of the stay. Everything else was ok, the site and pool were wonderful and the staff were generally good. It was just a shame that we experienced this ant problem, as they got into everything, our food, our bed, our toothpaste even our luggage and clothing.

Lovely hotel. Good welcome on arrival. Amazing pools. Only negative is that it is quite out of the way (which we knew when we booked) and next to a busy road (so some road noise). Overall a great value stay.

The Palm Royale was a nice stay, the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The pool was huge and really nice. My only issue was that the A/C could not be adjusted / it was either off or on, the temperature couldn’t be controlled, and it was loud. I got too cold in the night with it on but then got too warm when I turned it off. Otherwise, it was a very good stay, and great value. (Tip: eat breakfast at “63”, a cafe within walking distance. It’s excellent.)

10 min drive to the city centre and not much available ard the hotel area except a small mall with some resto and a supermarket
