The accommodations were located in a nice area with a locked entrance. Our unit was spacious.
The negatives of the unit were dirty and sometimes cracked yellow paint, bad pillows, a little dirty and a bathroom that was functional but not pretty.
Overall a decent place but not great.

OK location. Wish it was closer to the underground metro as I had to take the above ground line to get to the underground. The above ground line of course is slower.
Property itself was very nice and in what appeared to be a very safe part of town from what I could see

This is a hotel goes beyond our expectation and the friendly staff not only answered our questions in a very timely manner but also help us to address luggage storage problem that blocking us from going to Rome due to airline’s constraints. kudos to their efficiency and customer service centric management and reception is always available during their business hour, we are also impressed by the self check in machine that works magically. We will highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay at up town Barcelona, don’t forget to that there is bus L77 to at can take you to Airport with 2.55 Euro in a 4 mins walking distance.

Bathroom was very poor - mould in bath, very thin, dirty shower curtain. Cleaning products in corner of bathroom. Hole in wall by window in bedroom, thin walls. Dirty curtains in rooms
Space in room was good, pool also.looked good. Disappointing for the price, fortunately just one just booking for us. If had been staying longer, would have moved.

A dumping building far from the tourist area in the back of the local hospital. Dirty sheets on the bed and AC doesn't work. There is with no front desk service and no room service with 2 big towels for 2 of us for 3 days. I will never stay there again and I strongly advise against staying there unless you have a love one at that hospital. Otherwise you will need to pay about 50 euros for a round trip to the tourist area near Plaza de Catalunya.

Travelling with two kids including a baby, the appartment was perfect for our family’s needs. Clean, functional, big. Coming off the plane, the pool was a highlight!

This is not a 3 start property, it’s more of a 1 star. I’d compare it to a motel 6 or similar for US travelers. Rooms are big, that’s the only positive. The hotel has seen better days, there really isn’t anyone working on site except for a few hours a day. The area feels a bit shady and the are very limited food options close by. I would not recommend this place, you can get much better hotels for similar prices in BCN

In the rooms you can hear loud noise from the adjacent pizza restaurant, which keeps the music on till night 2 am and it gets tough to sleep.
It was told the towels will be changed every 3 days but it never happened,
The rooms are old and seems not renovated for long time.

The hot water supply stopped for two days in a row without prior notice for the entire building. Communication was confusing and the reception’s limited opening hours from 12-8 did not help. Apart from meeting basic expectations of an accommodation, I am not sure how the lack of hot water supply, which led to residents boiling water for showers, could make a good rating at all. Disappointing, despite the relatively good quiet surroundings.

Location is somewhat far from centre.
I made a choice to stay there on the basis that there was a spa. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

Self check in using a machine . The doors are locked and had to wait for someone to Open them . Then i got charged €5 to use the Check in Machine . Room cold at Night and the A/C did not blow warm air . Surrounding areas very clean and good . People nice too .

It was a nice experience our stay at Hesperia San Joan Despi. Though is far away from downtown, the apartments are very well located with easy access to public transportation to all Barcelona, including to airport. The area looks relatively new, close to supermarkets, including La Mercadona that has groceries and food with low prices. Love the paella Mercadona makes. The apartment has almost all that you need, except washer. I highly recommend to stay at Hesperia. Check in was piece of cake. They have a very efficient machine that you can do the check in by yourself at any time.

The hotel is so out dated and gross! The bed is full of springs, the sofa bed was so disgusting we put the comforter over it to sit on it!

The property was a bit run down but clean and quiet so it suited us. It was almost an hour by public transport from the city center but it allowed us to see how the locals live.

Close to public transit but this area is far from Barcelona. The heater did not work and the breaker for the lights kept snapping off. Told the front desk and they said that they’d send someone to fix it, but they never did. Upholstery has scratches on it and the curtains were ripped. Could hear not only the noisy neighbors next door, but anyone walking down the hall and every time a door closed. Super thin walls! There’s no shower curtain in the shower and no glass door, so the water went everywhere anytime that I showered. Housekeeping came only ONE time during a week stay and they only emptied the trash cans when they did. Stay was nice but that’s about it. Would not stay here again.

The apartment was basically okay but outdated, a bit unclean and was lacking quite a lot of amenities, especially in the kitchen. Also, the sound insulation was poor.

Overall there was nothing overly disappointing. The staff were great and room basic but pleasant.
The only points that I would raise in order for my review to be higher would be:
The walls are thin and I could hear every word of my neighbours which went on late into the night.
The gym is in need of considerable upgrade. Some machines are almost unsafe (bike seat drops because it doesn’t tightened, cable machine is old and hard to adjust, stability ball flat)
Breakfast was ok but a lack of warm options.
Another helpful point is that there is a nearby hotel with a similar name. Just make sure your taxi driver takes you to the right one… mine did not
