This place is quite a palace. It’s luxurious and very comfortable. From the moment you walk in, it’s restful. Your big heavy bags are whisked to your room. A pot of hot dawa is ready for you at check-in. My room was clean, had a spot for my luggage, and a great big window. Quiet as well. Slept like a rock. The dinner/brunch buffets are nothing short of indulgent. I only wish I’d had more time to try the pool. Business center was quick and well appointed for printing documents.
Only request I’d have is that I believe this hotel lists airport transfer on this site. This is inaccurate and should be updated.

The hotel is old, there is notinhg of Sheraton Standards there. It is very old , all the corridors has a strong smell from the carpt.
We were given a room it was freshly painted, requested to changed room. We are attended immediately but does not change the fact that the hotel is in a very bad shape.
The buffe restaurant is extremely limited. Even for the the breakfast

Really good stay at the hotel. Really clean hotel with good bars and restaurants and facilities, but mainly due to the great staff that work at the hotel, from reception to, service staff and especially the bar and restaurant staff who were brilliant.

Im probably being harsh, as judging the Sheraton through American eyes, but this property is in need of repairs and an upgrade. The pool was falling apart in some areas, and the bathrooms need updating. The staff though are super helpful and friendly. There is not much one would want to see around the property (nor would you feel safe doing so), and there is also a massive road construction project going on outside the front entrance.

This was a brief overnight for us and it served its purpose well. We were able to have a swim in the pool, quite small and in front of folk at a conference, which was slightly strange. An evening meal which was adequate and a lovely big room with en suite which was great. The area around is typically African with the roads dug up and so we decided not to go out and investigate.

Hotel is located in the middle of Dar es Salaam city center. Only 5 minutes by walk from Ferry terminal.

The brunch at this hotel, and its Indian chef, is truly excellent. Worth going for even if you are not staying at this hotel. The rooms have recently been renovated to a high standard, staff are very friendly, and the pool and gym are good too. Easy to feel at home at this hotel.

I can’t say enough about this place they really understand what hospitality is. The rooms are clean and comfortable beds and Linens. The staff is amazing and I can’t stress that enough they will go above and beyond to take care of all your needs. Can’t recommend this place enough it’s really a great experience. It’s right next to the ferries to Zanzibar and there are shops and a casino right next door. In traffic about twenty minutes to airport.

Arrived very late at night: staff were efficient and helpful. Very comfortable beds. We had two excellent meals in the hotel restaurants.We accidentally left a credit card in the safe when we left and the hotel staff immediately contacted us to sort out the problem.

The staff at this hotel was Great. I left my partially opened wine in the room then I checked out. A couple of hours later I decided to stay another night and wished I had saved my wine. It was gone. The hotel staff left a new bottle of wine with fruits and snacks in my room the next night. I was so touched I’m writing about it. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay. This hotel was clean, and very quiet. I felt safe being a solo traveler. I would stay again. Yes!!!

The hotel is in an excellent location. One of the receptionist exceeded the service expectations by doing more to help us.
The bedroom and bathroom were clean, however the design of the shower has led to spots with lots of mold which is terrible. And towels and sheets were old.
Not acceptable for a hotel with such night fees.

5 star service. All the staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The food was also excellent. There are some areas being remodeled and so the elevators are a bit confusing but I did not have any noise in my room of construction or anything like that. I very much enjoyed my stay.
