I really liked how quaint the hotel was. It was a beautiful experience with lots of picturesque spaces.

This hotel is very adult. The attention to detail and color scheme and ambiance all sells mature adult. It's conveniently located that makes walking to all the hotspots a breeze. It's was also quiet and the staff was excellent. I will stay here from now on for all my New Orleans trips moving forward.

Kitschy. Valet is convenient. General lobby ambiance is good… very close to Ruby Slipper and WWII museum. Initially given a room that needed maintenance and cleaning attention - but we were easily switched. Overall average accommodations and experience.

Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was that the hotel is beautiful. I loved the whole ambiance, down to the decor. I enjoyed my time here. Bartender Brian was very welcoming. The only downfall was checking out. When i checked I made a payment that the receptionist told me was for incidentals as well as the resort fee. Only to find out at check out that the resort fee was not paid and that I would have to make another payment. There is no mention of incidentals prior to arriving at the hotel, even though this was not the issue for me. The main issue I had was that the guy checking me out is saying that i didn't pay the resort fee (even though check in lady said I did) and he also had no documentation of what i paid for. Moreover, he was not helpful in settling the so called "miscommunication" and there was also no manager on at the time. He was very rude about it and offered no resolution. Another staff member came on and was able to clarify the discrepancies. I loved the hotel but the front desk personnels need to be on one accord in their communication wirh clients. More training is also needed.

The room was clean and plenty of space. Enjoyed sharing ghost stories with the bartender.

Everything but the parking

Came for a quick 3 night business trip. Had ZERO hot water for the first two nights. Notified the desk after each cold shower and nothing was done about it until the last night. Spoke with management and they only thing they would do is give me points. I don't belong to their rewards program. No discount at all. Hotels.com has hounded them for over a week for some sort of compensation and have been getting the run around. Usually love this property but I think I'm done.

Charming hotel and service

Lovely hotel, and affordable for its sense of elegance and attention to detail. We love it.

It was good clean, comfortable accessible to to several popular spots.

We have stayed here before- nice hotel and location. This trip was fine but two complaints that should be addressed with management- We stayed in a suite and it was not serviced on our second day so we had to call for help with coffee, towels and toilet paper and such. Promptly handled by the cleaning crew. Check out was expected at 11 and we were on time HOWEVER, it took over an hour for our vehicle from valet. We scanned our little code and it took over an HOUR! Not upset with the valet guys- they looked hard at work and very understaffed! Sammy?! I think this would lay with valet management. Also, front desk guys absolutely not interested in offering any help or assistance sooooo, I would consider some more education for their understanding of customer service. Both men very uninterested in everyone waiting for vehicles. I write this to give management a chance to correct this. Bar staff and restaurant service were always nice as well.

The only issue i had was no microwave in the room

Loved the decor around the property and in the room. Very hospitable staff, very clean w/ a bar downstairs, and we were even upgraded for free due to a travel issue earlier in our first day there. 10/10, would definitely stay here again. It’s also very central to many restaurants, the French Quarter, and other areas accessible by the streetcar/bus lines around the area.

Wonderful stay.. everything was great just would love the rooms to have more lighting. Very dim..

Returning

I never met before such a horrible racist front desk in my life at 6th July PM. The black guy was a racist who horrible behavior toward Asian guest. ( his name is “D”) I’m not sure the reason why his attitude was so rude to me guests. I was very disappointed & sad such a poor service person. I never met any Hyatt hotels in the world. If you are not Asian, no worry. Other staff was very nice.

Eliza Jane is our #1 Choice while staying in New Orleans. The location is great & the rooms are always spotless.

Only negative of hotel is that the walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors way too easily.

This is my third time staying at the Eliza Jane. Myb even the fourth. The aesthetic is one of a kind as the designers locked in the history of the bldg. The staff are courteous, friendly, and eager to accommodate guests. The rooms are unique and very comfortable. EJ is centrally located to Downtown and Uptown. Valet is easy. Will be back. Check out the Editor Suite. The bathroom is 100.
