We were traveling for pleasure and the hotel was absolutely the perfect location. Close to the rail station with a nice walk past the Milan park to Ouchy or up the hill to old town. There was a great restaurant across the street and many cafes etc. within 2 blocks including the buffet at the rail station run by Tibits.

excellent check in staff, although i didn't see them, as via internal phone. Room quite dated, but good bed, refurbished shower usable room facilities, good value for money, close to transport links. Super room heating, close to shops and town. Quiet for a town location

Being on first floor, there was lots of noise as people can in and out, which was disturbing during the night and woke us up. The front door slammed. Also, several times people tried to enter our room.

The room is smaller than most of the room in Switzerland. Unluckily, my husband and I slept not well in this hotel. And, the location is not good as it is far from train station and nothing good to eat near the hotel.

It was not listed on Expedia as an automated hotel no staff... no services other than cleaning. Hostel style laundry so had no washing done. Luckily I brought enough with me. When things go wrong u call service number. Problem when i arrived there were about 6 police officers surrounding area and I thought it was hotel under siege. Entrance in side alleyway with no lighting or people seems like a bad as really at night. Definitely would not recommend for females, area was uncomfortable at night when returning from conference wearing decent clothes relative to people in the area so was tempted to dress down for business meetings. Bathroom was not very good either. By end of stay I had a bad back although bed did not feel that bad. I did get used to it but I would not recommend it. Colleagues stayed in better places for similar price.

Theres no reception but you are given instructions through the phone, the operator speaks English very well. The rooms are very clean and the bed is comfortable. Top quality fixtures, really nothing to complain! A bit difficult to find at first, maybe. Oh, and you get free croissants in the morning!

Check in is remotely done. No person there. Done by cctv and a little unfriendly as a result.However, room was good. Facilities good, except for shower on one occasion when no hot water. An invigorating few seconds!

Cant beat the location. The hotel is comfortable. There is no one on site. Check in is done via computer/skype.

The check in method by video and phone is strange but it works. We walked up to the connected hotel for in person advice about restaurants, which was helpful, but had no other contact with a reception desk during our five days there. If you can manage on your own, this is OK. The hotel was clean, the bathroom functional, and the miniature kitchenette module useful.

We were a bit taken aback by the arrival proceedings - the office is a few blocks away at the sister hotel, A La Gare, so when you arrive at the Boulevard, it takes awhile to figure things out, since it is done digitally - but once we understood the system, all was well. The staff are great, very very helpful and accommodating, the room service lady is gorgeous and friendly, and the budget accommodations are perfect for the price. The location is in the midst of numerous good restaurants, pastry and coffee shops, and the chocolate shop next door is awesome! A short walk to the train station, and an even shorter walk from the metro, make it so you can get around the sprawling hill town fairly easily. Our room was very clean and the shower is a cool design. The breakfast over at A La Gare is worthwhile especially to check out the art on the walls. If I came bck to Lausanne I would only not stay there again if I had suddenly acquired the wealth to stay in one of the grand old hotels on the lake.

We were travelling with two toddlers and needed a one bedroom suite. I booked this hotel as it was close to main train station , has a spacious one bedroom suite with little kitchen. The hotel was very neat and clean. Room service was very good. Hotel also provided some utensils and dishes. Remote check-in was not an issue; we were in the room within few minutes. We had a one bedroom suite with a terrace. The terrace was very good with a big umbrella and table/chairs. Hotel provided free croissants, was sufficient for breakfast as there was also free coffee in the room.The hotel is located 5 minutes’ walk from main train station and metro station. This was very helpful to us as we were either taking intercity trains or metro for our daily commute (sightseeing or business). There is a big supermarket (Denner) beside this hotel. Also, there are lots of good restaurants within 1 or 2 minutes walk . Ouchy is very close, 10 minutes’ walk or 5 minutes by metro. Also, there is a big park (just 2 minutes’ walk) beside this hotel. I was little bit skeptical as this hotel is a 2 star hotel as per Expedia. This hotel was way better than the standard of two star hotels.
