The hotel is very good, the location is excellent and the people its very nice and polite, but I dont have a very good experience..First of all, our luggage doesnt arrive to the room, so 1 hour after we have to go down to ask for it..Other thing, we made a deposit charge during the check in for 1,500, then when we haved the dinner, the waitress told us that we doesnt have any deposit, so was a not nice experience with our restaurant guests, and I haved to go to the reception where they were still arguing that doesnt have anything even when I was showing the bank charge in the app and in the cellphone, then I have to go down at 1 am, showing the paper charge deposit…the last thing was that I was returning to the room at 12 am the next day and none of the keys were working, so I have to come back to the reception..its a very good 5 star hotel but with some mistakes

Good breakfast options

Limited Vegi options available with no sign markings. Damp sheets and a lot of mosquitoes. Repellents available but you have to call and ask. Left the hotel mid stay to go to another hotel. Poor organisation expected better from the Shangri-la

Absolutely amazing stay, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were spoiled. Cannot single out members of staff as they were all superb. Thank you for an amazing holiday.

Hotel was generally good however, I feel that the staff need extra training. It was always difficult to get staff to come to our table, we were asking more than once for drinks, cutlery (that should have been there), plates to be collected. Beach was good, pool was good, room was good. Everything was clean and the buffet was excellent. Would have enjoyed my trip more if the staff were more attentive and we didn't feel like we were disturbing their daydreaming, anytime we asked for something.

Brilliant resort. Our room had a brilliant balcony with the beach view + the views of the Sheikh Zayed Masjid. Well worth the price. Everything from valet, reception, room service was top notch.

First room was great but after contacting the hotel manager he moved us to one which was better and what we was expecting. The staff here round the pool are exceptional, the lifeguard Hun is so kind to our little girl both times we have stayed here. The staff here Really go above and beyond making the hotel experience 5 star, especially when you have children. Cold flannels bought round, your sunglasses cleaned and bottles of cold water bought to your subbed are some of the nice touches at this hotel.

Poor value for money! Overrated.The service at the bar restaurant.. just non-existent. Worst experience ever. Never again!

Excellent hotel with very nice, large rooms. Three good swimming pool options as well as a beach with small sports pitches next to it. The staff are the biggest asset of this hotel - all are lovely and eager to help. Great food options available too!

Great hotel that we’ve stayed at multiple times (great food, service, beach, rooms); however, it lost its beautiful view of the mosque when other buildings were built in front of it. Will try somewhere else next time.

Dated hotel at the centre of the city; enormous in size; rooms decor like from the 80s Aladdin cave. Food was excellent though, fantastic breakfast.

Great hotel with small but clean beach . Don't go during Ramadan as hotel is invaded as soon as sun goes down with locals ready to feast . Residence take second place to the hundreds that arrive . It's a nice atmosphere with family meeting to eat but everything runs out on the buffet and staff do their best to cope . Chinese restaurant was a disaster . We waited an hour to be told the waiter had delivered our food to another table by mistake !! Not much around the hotel .Taxi ride to go anywhere

We had a fabulous stay. Besides being a lovely hotel, the staff are very welcoming, warm and wonderful. I high recommend staying here and will certainly return.

What an amazing hotel! We absolutely loved the Grand Mosque view from our room. Spacious and beautiful rooms. The main pool has breathtaking views. We absolutely loved the gondola rides in the evening. These are free for in-house guests. There is a souk nearby however you can walk 10 minutes to the outdoor Al Qana shopping mall with dozens of great restaurants and amazing views over the canal. I fully recommend this place. Unfortunately the hotel no longer has a playground for kids.

Lovely property with amazing service. The Horizon Club is worth the upgrade with even better service and good food offerings. The buffet restaurant is a bit hit and miss but otherwise this property is outstanding!

Out dated place and poor quality food

Fantastic hotel, lovely beach although the view of the mosque across the water isn’t as impressive as the photos due to some property development on the other side of the water. Always a taxi waiting outside and there’s a souk next door. The service was good in the lobby and the beach and pool bars but could have been a little better and faster in the restaurant and lobby bar. The gym and fitness centre were lovely and clean too and very well equipped. Would recommend.

Fabulous place to stay.

This is a fabulous property with 5 star service throughout. The staff are all very attentive. Our VIP upgrades were added without us having to ask like we do at a lot of other properties. The facilities are fabulous especially the infinity pool and the food is great. We would absolutely stay here again.

Would definitely stay again. The only thing I couldn’t find was a charging point for my phone but apparently they were in the room. Overall was fantastic and the staff were very attentive. The restaurant and Breakie were delicious. Left happy :-)

My sister and I had a wonderful break here at this hotel! The hotel is spectacularly designed and has a very luxury finish to even the smallest details. The grounds are beautiful, private beach and pools are pristine and the staff are ever so polite and accommodating. I would specially like to thank Usman, who welcomes you warmly at the door. He was very helpful in guiding us to local attractions and always asked how our day went upon our return. I would also like to thank Surjeet, Redolph and Harni from Sofra restaurant who looked after us very well every time we went for breakfast! They paid particular attention to remembering our requests from the day before and having everything in place for us before we asked the next day! They kindly served us a delicious goodbye cake on our last day too! The housekeeping were very attentive and did a great job twice a day of making your room feel like home. They were quick to meet any requests too. The reception team in general were kind and helpful. Overall, we will definitely be returning in the future and look forward to rhis very much!
