Moldy bed sheet, dirty light switches, broken bed net. Smelly bar area. When I reported the above issues, 3 groups of staff came and decided to offer me a bottle of free beer ( wine). I don’t drink beer ( wine). Then the manager knocked my room door twice to force me to accept it. I paid $NZ 1100 per room per night. This is the worst 5 star hotel I have ever experienced.

The property is average, definitely not worth the amount of money charged. For that amount of money $300 plus a night, you should receive a 4 star plus accommodation. I had to ask for towels in the room. The food was buffet style but still average.

We had a delightful stay at Keekorock! The staff were knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. The grounds have to be seen to believe, and the location cannot be beat.

Staff was helpful, attentive and went beyond expectations. Great location for game drives. Very clean and food is good.

This is a fantastic property. We stayed in the presidential suite because we could have our entire family under one roof. The staff was amazing. You can hear hippos at the River. The only thing to be desired was the food. Most dishes are Indian and just okay. After a few days we were really craving something else. Also be mindful that coffee and tea are included with meals, but only if you get it yourself.

The staff was particularly very nice and helpful. Their service was above what i expected plus they got to teach me a bit of swahili. The environment was quite safe too

Amazing staff. Very friendly. Especially kitchen manager Mr. Manish. He took special care of us and our children. We got food catered specially for us according to our taste sent straight to the table. That food was not even included in the buffet.
The first minute we reached the lodge we weee a little disappointed as the executive suite we booked was not available. But they were generous enough to offer us a presidential suite. It made our stay very very enjoyable and relaxing.
The pool should be temperature controlled though. It was freezing.
The lodge is very ideally located right in the middle of Masai Mara so we don’t have to travel a lot for the game drives.

I loved that wildlife was able to roam about the grounds. It was pretty special to see zebras munching on grass just yards from our room. We could hear the hippos in the hippo pond calling during the night! It was a very memorable experience:)

Descent compared to other lodges outside the game reserve. Nice staff, but be ready to tip because they expect.

Many thanks to all the staff at Keekorok!
We very much enjoyed our stay!

It was a good experience ,Food was average but everything else of the property is good value for money ,There are of course better properties in Masai Mara but they are also a lot more expensive
Wish they had more activity around HIPPO BAR it should be really one of the highlights of the property

The resort is right next to the Keekorok airfield. The hotel is in the Masai Mara and what is very special is the animals roaming freely on the location. We saw hippos in the hippo pool, giraffe, zebra, many cute monkeys, etc. you don’t have to leave to see them. They also have some from the very special Mass tribe on the location. The staff made it a special stay for sure.

Staff were so helpful - warm and welcoming. Food was very good. Room was comfortable & clean. Will definitely stay here again. Special thanks to James, Moses, Nemoh, Charles - you are all the best! They go the extra mile & then some to make sure your stay is memorable. Five stars!!

Excellent location in the heart of Masai Mara. Hippos in the back of the room where you get to witness their daily activities from the hippo bar. Velvet monkeys and baboons on location to watch you while you eat and possibly steal your food if they get a chance. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The food could be improved as there were limited options. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

The place has been under utilized. Lots of things on the site mentioned were missing. The Horse ride was not there. The Message closed . The swimming. pool closed. The food was repeat and tasteless. All meals were tasteless. Nothing of the sort was worth except the location and the staff. The total over rated place. Kindly check and update . not at all happy

Very bad, value for money is really bad, we got so little for the big sum we paid. We waited at the reception for 15 minutes just so they would check us in. The room was dirty, the staff was not resopnsive. The food was bad ...not worth the money at all

The facility is not gated and you see a lot of animals in around the facility.

Great location, nice rooms, we stayed with our four kids ages 5 to 14 and wish we had stayed one more night just to hang out at the lodge.

Awesome location, friendly staff, our family of 4 kids ages 14 to 5 had a wonderful experience.

The property is located right in the heart of the Masai Mara. My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful time! There is live Masai entertainment each night, an incredible hippo bar that guests from other lodges often frequent, and a nice sized pool. The food is slightly redundant but for a short stay it was great! We managed to see the big 5 plus birds, and wildebeests! The WiFi worked well and the electricity shut-offs didn’t bother us much because we were either napping or out for a drive during them. The staff is very attentive and polite and quickly remember your names & room numbers despite being quite full as it was peak-season. Thank you to Dennis who I believe is the hotel manager for getting an account manager to reset our safe after we accidentally locked it! Most incredible experience of my life, and I’m glad that keekerok was apart of the trip!

Loved the hippo pond and walkway. Also the closeness to the wildlife.

What a beautiful place full of beautiful people! We flew from Nairobi to Keekorok airstrip (for an absurd price to fly 30 min in a tiny airplane of less than ideal quality).Big campus with beautiful trees and décor. Felt very safe. Late at night, supposedly animals may roam the grounds, but the staff is always available to escort you anywhere. Room are spacious and clean. No TV and A/C (only wall fan), but that was fine by us. The electricity does shut off several times a day (scheduled), but it didnt affect our schedule at all (though sometimes our afternoon naps get a little warm in the room. Staff is exceptionally kind and welcoming. They will learn your names, ask about your days, and share their stories. Judy and Moses were incredible!Food is great. Every meal is a wide array of delicious selections and we were so stuffed at the end of each meal. They will charge for water if you ask for it at dinner, but I would bring one of the free water bottles they left in our rooms to dinner. We went on 4 game drives with LePapa and he was incredible. We saw a lot of animals and learned a lot about Kenya as well from him. He played a significant part in our African trip!We didnt discover this until the last day, but go check out the Hippo Bar (actual bar where you can drink while watching hippos and buffalos bathe. after sunset, youll finally see them get out of the water and wander).Highly recommend this hotel if youre in Masai Mara for safaris.

This hotel is a very old.I can understand it had its history since 1965. I respect the history but It is obvious that they had never renovate or make improvement to their rooms! The maintenance inside the room is very bad (e.g. paints falls out and cracks, spider webs all over corners).Mosquitos' corpse sticked on the nets in the toilets and windows which are disgusting! The "new" plastic toilet bowl cover is stabbing your back (because it cannot be opened widely to 90 degree as usual!) It was 70 degree! No one is taking care of this even you report to the hotel! Important: this hotel emphasizes to every guests that going out at night even at corridor or open your door is prohibited as there are "wild" animals freely around their hotels area.Totally nonsense!!! There were NO ANIMALS inside the area as in photographs. The truth is this place is already too civilized with humans and there wouldn't be any animals coming around! The reason for them to warn people not to going out without a guard is just an excuse for the guards to ask for tips and money! I was asked to pay repeatedly when I need help. Whenever there is someone to help, they ask for tips! One day only my room run out of electricity I cannot go outside without a guard nor make call to reception to ask for help because no electricity means no function of their in-room phone! You can imagine how "sensible" is their service!Further their "included" food was crap-No taste or choices, just mass production for tour groups!

The staff was amazing, probably the best part of our stay experience! Judy Sharon, Ole Loet, etc. made our stay so splendid. It’s also the only Safari lodge that is fenceless so the animals are free to roam onto its grounds, but don’t fret, staff is always available to walk you anywhere when the sun goes down. They also have a hippo bar where you can watch hippos living their best lives. The only comment I have is, be prepared to pay for every beverage at lunch and dinner including still bottled water. They do include small water bottles in your room, but if you’re like us (aka thirsty) those went very quickly. I’d suggest stocking up before entry to save a little on that as our stay ended up being an extra $75. Highly recommend staying here!

nothing to complain, but we were expecting more of a 5 star hotel.

We had a great time. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was very friendly. I really loved and was surprised by this hotel. They went above and beyond with everything. The food could've been better but nothing to complain about.
A few things to keep in mind:
Water in the restaurant costs along with all other drinks. Some added costs were: 1. Park entrance fee -$70 per night per person. 2. Airport transfer fee- $60 roundtrip per person 3. Safari game drive -$60 per person but really worth it to go. This fee was optional but I thought it would be included based on the price of this hotel but you do have to pay per game drive.

The stay was amazing..... A location for super wild life ... open in the forest
Service was also great ..... Super people ......

We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The place is situated inside Masai Mara and we were able to see wild life from very early hours.

We had a really relaxing 2 day stay. Went on a couple of game drives and saw lion, elephant, buffalo and even a glimpse of a rhino. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was adequate but tailored more to Indian tastes. The lodge is 50 years old and is showing its age in some places. That said, it is good value and well positioned not too far from the park gate.
