Amazing property and great location with lots of restaurants around.

This hotel is in a safe and accessible location within Melrose Arch. The retro decor takes a while to get used to but don’t let that put you off. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast’s spectacular. The best part of the hotel is the people. From the front desk to the restaurant to the laundry facilities, everyone is incredibly friendly and efficient. I have stayed here multiple times with my family and alone, and will keep on coming back. Very good value for money.

Location is excellent with multiple restaurants and the mall in walkable distance. The hotel is across from the Marriott. Hotel restaurant menu is limited, not so much of fruits or yogurts option.

Very nice property. Excellent staff. Could use some minor repairs to the rooms (small cracks in sink) but it is a comfortable convenience stay.

Guest rooms, pool area and location are great! The lobby needs a complete refurbishment. The lobby is uninviting, dark, unwelcoming and old. It is the only reason why I did not rate it five stars.

I like the location of the hotel , close to shooping center and lots of good restaurants around it.
what I didnt like about the rooms, three wasn't enogh sapce to store your clothes and in the bathroom no room to leave your toiletery which made it very inconvenient.

The room was modern and perfect for a single traveller. Well maintained hotel with great reception staff. Super professional concierge and nice pool area with great dining and lounging areas. The location is sublime.

This is in a great location to be able to step out of the hotel and have a number of shopping and dining options. Hotel itself is lovely and rooms are well appointed.

When we booked we asked for a room with bath and they accepted our booking. On arrival we were given a room without a bath and were informed that all rooms had no bath except for 3 in the entire hotel which are booked long in advance- we booked over 6months ago. Hotel looks tired and rooms very small. No toiletries were available in the room. Staff were outwardly friendly but totally matter of fact and not helpful at all. Was not told that parking was included by reception and the porter asked me why I was paying for parking since I was a guest. He directed me to reception where happy to then stamp the parking ticket but were not forthcoming as to why I wasn’t offered the same.

It is a very decent and comfortable hotel. Location is excellent and near the shopping mall and spa. Security was excellent too. Check in was fast. Room service was good and they allowed a late checkout without extra expenses. We had 6 pieces of luggage and they allowed all to be stored in their luggage room, after checkout. The restaurant in the premises was excellent and overall the hotel was very good value for money.

Very good professional service from all the very nice staff throughout our stay. On arrival at 6pm our room wasn’t ready. The manager, Lesedi, immediately intervened, apologized and offered a voucher for a milkshake. While small it was a nice gesture and he took responsibility. Our room was ready 10 min later. So 10/10 for device.

Outstanding service. No scales in gym so asked at Reception. They bought them inside an hour. Staff were friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Rooms lovely and clean.

Melrose Arch is an ideal location in the Northern Suburbs... Good selection of shops and eateries, popular with a young, cool and diverse crowd.

Was upgraded to the Marriot across the road. Staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Slightly disappointed for a brand new hotel, but every inconvenience was addressed and addressed well. Thanks for the stay :)

Located in a safe area for a solo, this Protea is outstanding. The staff were very helpful in arranging activities and suggesting local places to go to. The room was very comfortable. I had dinner at the restaurant and both the vibe and the food were very nice.

We liked the location and the friendliness of the staff. However the bathroom was awful. It was like a wet room either water from the shower spilling all over the bathroom. The key to the room was terrible. We had to keep asking them to change it. Sometimes it worked after several attempts. Finally there was no where to sit in our bedroom. Actually there was also no shelf in the bathroom to put our cosmetics and we had to leave our cosmetics on the floor.

I loved everything about this hotel, the location deserves a perfect 10 the decor the atmosphere! Even the authentic African dish I had was awesome.... best oxtails I’ve outside my mothers!

Lost my prepaid 1 week reservation and took awhile to sort it out. Came back day 2 and I was locked out, lost reservation again and room not cleaned. Getting service in the restaurant is very slow. Servers stand around chatting in groups. Food is averae to poor
