This property is beautifully located with the charming surrounding and the breathtaking view. Furthermore, the staff and owners are the most friendly and helpful people you can ever find. They genuinely care about their guests, treating everyone like a family. Food was delicious, stocked with all the beer selections you can imagine, rooms are super clean. All in all, Hotel Edelweiss is a true gem and I cannot wait to recommend it to all my friends, or better yet, return to visit again soon myself.

We had an AMAZING time at Edelweiss! Daniel was the kindest host ever and we had access to all sorts of facilities such as sauna, tv room and amazing balconies with great views. The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the Wengen train station and gondolas and is also a walkable distance downhill to Lauterbrunnen. The hotel is super clean and beds were very comfortable. The garden of the hotel was great with great seating. There are also rabbits which you are allowed to feed when Daniel provides the old bread! It was an overall 10/10 experience and we were genuinely very sad to have to leave! They also have GREAT facilities for skiing in winter that we couldn’t make use of but will consider for future stays.

We arrived after a difficult journey on a day when the train was not running so we had to take an extra train to Grindlewald and then two ski lifts to Wengen!! Thomas was so nice and accommodating that it made my day!!!

The staff made our visit superb! The location is breathtaking as each room has a balcony overlooking the valley 6000’ up with incredible views of the Eiger, Jungfrau and Mönch! Loved our stay!!

Great stay

I am so happy that I chose this hotel amongst the many to choose from. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. They were so very kind! The owner was amazing, and even did a free presentation of cheese, sausage and wine and he told us a lot of interesting things about Switzerland. It was truly amazing. Our room was teeny tiny but that is to be expected in Europe. It was clean and well appointed and that’s all that matters. We spent most of our time out and about anyways. This place was great. I will absolutely stay here again!

Hotel Edelweiss was a charming spot for our overnight visit. Thomas and Sara were amazing hosts, and exerted every effort to ensure that all guests in our party were attended to. Thomas even repeatedly acknowledged everyone on a first name basis. Breakfast was hearty and generous and the view of the Jungfrau area were spectacular. The only strike is the walk uphill to the village and train station. Don't miss the turnoff under the train station. Pack lightly- if you have a lot of baggage on you- it can be quite a trek!

Despite having a tiny room, even by European standards, I loved the hotel. Starting with the friendly and cheerful receptionist Randa and end ending with cinema room, free coffee and tea, and the honor bar. The room was clean and despite its size was very well throughout and appointed. Everything worked well. Excellent WiFi, good cable tv, and a functional bathroom and shower. To top it off, they have a bin with beautiful bunnies running around. I’d stay there again.

Hospitality was excellent, breakfast was good (continental and boil-your-own-eggs), dinner was good, and I was made to feel very welcome. I was disappointed that my "mountain view" room was at the back of the hotel, overlooking houses and gardens. I advise checking directly with the hotel to make sure you get the view you're expecting.

The staff treated us like family. The dinners were wonderful, never a need to seek other places after exhausted day of hiking!

There are plenty of options to eat and close to train station. Everyone that works here were all very friendly and super nice!

Edelweiss is a great Hotel. The staff are super friendly and made us feel warmly welcome. Excellent linens, impeccably clean, nice community areas. Thomas who greeted us upon arriving is a great ambassador for Wengen and the Burnese Highlands.

The location is good, stay in the mid of the mountain, have a good view of the village and the mountains. All staff are very kind, very nice experience.

The hotel is great. This is my third stay in Wengen and it didn’t disappoint me. Thomas is a great host and very accommodating to all our needs.

Friendly and accommodating staff, I was late booking our dinner but get accomodated, good food. Small but charming, beautiful and sustainable vegetable garden. Rooms are small so is the bathroom, XL size person may have challenges using the bathroom. I understand that these type of accomodation caters for hikers so our room have hiker's feet smell which you get used after a while.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel. Everything wad perfect and Thomas was especially very helpful and welcoming. Everything was perfect.

Hotel Edelweiss in Wengen, is an exceptional choice due to the people who work there. Daniel and Tomas lead the way but the restaurant chef, his staff, and the other employees will quickly become your new best friends while you stay there. The evening meals were culinary delights and the breakfast fare was perfect to start the day.
