We had a wonderful time. George was an ama ing host.

I very much enjoyed my stay. The location was perfect and allowed me to walk to all of the various locations on my itinerary. They were nice enough to give me an upgraded room on a higher floor. It allowed me easy access to rooftop patio area. The room was furnished with a bathtub. However, my only issue with my stay was that the stopper in the tub did not work and I could not fill the tub. All in all, it was a great place and I would definitely stay again.

Absolutely loved our stay. Hotel was beautiful! Room was nicely decorated, comfortable, great location & clean. Rooftop pool was soothing, relaxing & quiet to come back to after a hot day of sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious & generously appointed. The staff, especially George, was attentive, accommodating, kind, took his sweet time to give us useful suggestions & his kind generous spirit was so refreshing every morning. I highly recommend!

This hotel was wonderful!
Hotel staffs were kind and friendly.

The property is still being renovated. So you smell some paint-like odor. Also because it is being renovated, the courtyard is literally empty, the room TV set is there but not connected to the cable...

We were greated with kindness and offered tea. The riad is being remodled, however, our room was very clean and comfortable. The concierge was very attentive and helped us pick a fabulous restaurant for dinner.

The property was beautiful and the staff was gracious, kind and very attentive. The location was great, too. Perfect!

Excellent service, well located. Highly recommended

Marvelously quirky decor, good location, huge room but with internal stairs to the sleeping area. Limited staff: TV didn’t work and no one could fix it, the room phone didn’t work either. But certainly to be recommended for a short Rabat stay.

They are located in the Medina , a safe and authentic place to stay in Rabat. The whole team was very kind. I loved the big bathrooms, breakfast and details in all the decoration of the hotel, full of charm . I have to mention the amazing sunset in its terrace. Recommended 100%.

Staff is 100% very professional and more than willing to help us with our needs. Abdul was very kind and had dinner prepared as well as breakfast at any time we requested. Abdul also helped us coordinate transportation to Chefchaouen via private car and helped research alternative options. We are very happy we stayed here for our time in Rabat and will gladly stay again!

The good— great location on edge of Medina, easy walk to Kasba, Medina and tourist shopping. Very nice rooftop deck with 360 views of Medina and even ocean. Lovely central patio where breakfast is served. Nice elevator. Nice 2; hour staff who speak fair English. Negative—next to a mosque so you’ll get loud 5:30 wake ups. Breakfast is same every day. Better like honeyed pancakes and scrambled eggs. There are only 8 rooms. We paid for midrange. The room was across three levels. Lots of stairs and no handrails to lowest bathroom level. No night light either. Scary! Be careful of echorbitant extra cost to have ‘free cancellation ‘. Highest fee I’ve seen. Not worth it. Finally make sure you take a card from hotel and map. It’s so small taxis can’t find it. I got dumped by a taxi miles from the hotel and had to walk. Perfectly safe but I needed the map and card to find my way.

It was the perfect location from where we needed to be for a friends wedding. Dead smack in the middle of the hustle and bustle but did not hear anything inside the riad. It was like a beautiful gem. The staff was amazing Abdou, Rashid and the maids went out of their way. The towels were so thick and smelled so good! Laundry service was amazing as well! I would definitely stay here again!

You would not believe that a gem like this exists in a place as such. Very unique place with pleasant staff that are willing to cater to your needs. I would definitely recommend a stay at this property. It will be my pleasure to book again in my next visit to Rabat.

Attention to detail in the restoration and design of the early 20th century riad is outstanding. Owners take the pride in offering a world-class bouitique hotel experience. Excellent service, location and roof-top terrace.

This may very well have been the best hotel Ive ever patronized, in any country. Beautiful hidden treasure right around the corner from the medina. Incredible staff, lovely personalized continental breakfast, phenomenal views from the triple-layer roof/balcony. Highly highly recommended.

A lovely updated ryad in good location. Quick, inexpensive taxi to the Médina, “City Centre” and new city. Walking distance to beach. Really beautiful room.

Excellent...Very quiet, small Riad. Food and service was good.

This was advertised on Expedia as a hotel but is actually a Riad. Although the staff is very pleasant, the facility is most definitely short staffed and the one poor employee was the doorman, reception and server. The facility is a bit run down and not very clean. We had black mold on the shower ceiling. Although not the worst place I’ve stayed, it is far too overpriced for what you get. Definitely not the luxury, highly rated accommodations I was expecting. More like a 3 star Riad which should cost half of what it does.

L'Alcazar is a small riad-type hotel just a block inside the Rabat medina. The hotel interior is physically beautiful and well-kept but the hotel itself is very difficult to find, even for an experienced Rabat cab driver. There appears to be only one full time staff person who handles everything (concierge, checkin, even cooking) but whose lack of English resulted in a very difficult and unhelpful stay (for an English speaking solo traveler such.as myself). The staff person was unable to connect me to cabs, tours or English speaking resources, and some basics (such as batteries for a working alarm clock in the room) were misunderstood or left undone. Other oddities (such as loud playing of American Motown soul music during a mediocre dinner) can speak for themselves. I cannot recommend the hotel for any solo travelers reliant on English or access to local resources. For folks in a tour group with a fixed itinerary and guides, the hotel is probably fine. The website for the hotel bespeaks a level of comfort and convenience which, alas, is inconsistent with reality.

Excellent service. Very friendly! Nice place and close to city center. In the middle of the old city. The only issue we had no possibility to regulate the heating and it was hot during the night

L’Alcazar is an excellent riad located just a short walk from the Medina and the Kasbah. The decor in both the common areas and the rooms is exquisite, as is the rooftop patio with a view of the city. L’Alcazar is situated on an easy access street; we had no difficulty getting taxis when we wanted to explore the more modern parts of the city, yet inside the riad it is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. Breakfast is included with the room; it was delicious. L’Alcazar also serves other meals on request. Our stays at L’Alcazar at the beginning and end of our trip to Morocco were totally delightful. We would absolutely stay there again!

Best thing about Alcazar is the location. It is located next to the main Medina street, has parking spaces nearby, 5-10 minutes walking distance to the cliffs overlooking the ocean waves, beach side strroll, the kasbah, etc. The downside was being next door to a religious school which will have a calls to prayer every morning at sunrise. The challenge was on our 2nd night that they had chanting going on from the evening until 5 am the next morning ( apparently this is a once a month event). The Riad itself has had better days, it does not look fresh, the carpet had many stains as did most of the furniture in our room. Our bed was upstairs with a not so easy staircase to climb up and down, bathroom is functional and clean but no shower ( just a tub ). The staff service and quality was quite good; they were friendly, attentive, with maid service two times a day which was different than other Riads we stayed at , we appreciated this.

Very nice Ryad close to the Médina and Kasbah, excremental staff ( Mohammed ) who went above and beyond in making our stay pleasant and the Hotel manager was very nice as well. Our room though was a bit awkward to navigate because of the winding stair and there’s a gap in the bannisters that make it a bit of a hazard, carpet had stains as well but the terraza and the courtyard was very beautiful and clean.

This is not a 5 star hotel, it's more of a 4 star. The Room we stayed in was rundown. Rug had stains.

We were expecting L'Alcazar to be a hotel. It was a very difficult to find riad. We were shown to our room to find it like a dungeon. Three meters wide, six long and four high, the two small windows were three meters up the wall. I expressed my dismay and was told, "This is your room." At midnight the door was opened and a man looked in, we heard later it was the security man, thinking the room was empty and a light left on. The next day we were transferred to a better room, but this room looked tired and grubby. There was only one TV channel in English, Chinese World News.. The price of beer was twice as much as at two previous riads.
It was a very disappointing experience.

This hotel (ryad) was absolutely perfect! Details say it all in this completely renovated Moroccain mansion. Gorgeous tile mosaics, custom crafted furniture, and meticulously coordinated decor combine to create an intimate, yet majestic, setting to your vacation, business, or even your honeymoon trip. This hotel exceeded expectations in every way. The best I've seen in Morocco.

The staff was very professional and courteous. They spoke french to us, arabic to others and italian to yet more guests. Every request we made was promptly seen to. When the AC failed to work they were immediately on the task. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts.
