Hotel is just 200m away from Yuyuan Garden metro exit 4.

The executive suite is only located on 2nd or 3rd floor which we did not like. I booked the room for 4 days and didn’t realize it didn’t include breakfast so ask the receptionist if we can get complementary breakfast since we staying for awhile but they refused. They said, breakfast is $19 USD per person/per day which is extremely expensive in China. The bathroom has a foul smell. Lastly, when we checked out the reception demand all room cards to be return otherwise it will be deducted from your deposit. Never have I ever encounter this kind of issue with regarding room card.

First they charged me almost 2000 cny more than i booked for. I complained about the a/c over and over again. It did not work in a upgraded room was so hot could not sleep. I prepaid for breakfast but after getting my final bill they charged me everyday for breakfast. Will not stay again.

Near to Yuyu Garden and Subway Station. Nice breakfast, comfortable room, and without smelling cigarettes smoke :)

It’s in the center of the city shopping area. Every where is just a walking distance. Safe and friendly. The building is kind old and needs lots maintenances.

I like the breakfast. Many choices and menu changes every morning. Laundry is very convenient. Very close to Yu Garden station. We took the Metro everyday. Walkable to tourist places, such as People's Square, People's Park, Yu Garden....etc.

The room was spacious (family room Executive) with a separate area to sit. Bathroom is small but ok. Less possibilities to store clothes or luggage, no safe in the room. In compare to the floor the room looked used, but still ok. Air condition worked well. Breakfast offers a lot of choices, chinese as also western. Bottleneck are the 2 coffee machines in rush times and a lot of western people in the hotel. The hotel is well located to Nanjing road and YuYu Garden as also to 2 Metro stations. The service was good, the staff friendly. We had a good stay at SSAW.

The hotel is only close to line 10 and 14, so it’s quite inconvenient to go to places, most places requires 2-3 metro line transfers and some walking. The property provides unlimited free water which is super nice. The hotel is pretty old and needs some renovation, the sink and shower are dirty and motten. The street doesn’t allow temporary drop off parking. The hotel is right next to a construction site which constantly has noise in my room.

Great location, a bit noisier these days with the heavy building work around but still the best ; coming back soon !

Really enjoyed my stay. The rooms a very spacious and bed very comfortable for a great nights sleep. Staff were always helpful and polite. Hotel is close to the subway which was super convenient and walking distance to The Bund and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street or one stop by subway.

The first room we got smelled strongly of cigarettes, which seems to have been experienced by others on Google reviews. We asked for a change of room, and although the room was nicer, bigger, and had a beautiful view, our toilet leaked a little water on the floor every time we flushed, but at this point we were tired of complaining so kept the room and just put towels on the floor. Some negative points is that the hygiene was lacking - the first room had dust and a little food remains on the desk, the second room had moldy bathroom tiles. Something else is that the breakfast, although varied, was a little tricky for persons with allergies since many things did not mark the ingredients, and they put the same utensils for several different dishes (for example, you picked up fish and ham with the same utensil - bad because my boyfriend is allergic to fish). Some pros is that the hotel is 5min walking to the station, had decent walking distance to several attractions, and one of the receptionists spoke good English. We also enjoyed the complementary water bottles, sodas, and coffee at the reception.

The metro station, shopping center and sight views are nt far from the hotel, around 10-15 min walking distance.

charge of £15 for a breakfast of low quality was an disappointment. Overall this area is purely tourist location and not good in terms of quality of food and comfort.

Excellent breakfast, location unbeatably close to Line 10 and 14 metro. Had a very convenient laundry. If you like quiet, ask for it asw one side of the hotel has a new bar underneath with music blaring.

Great location of hotel with almost everything within walking distance (incl. the Bund, shopping street etc.) Be aware though that they do not offer parking for the car.

This hotel is close to Yuyuan and Nanjing walking road. It’s convenient. The breakfast is super! It has laundry service. The only thing is the internet although is free, sometimes it is not stable.

Property is a little bit dated, but it was good value for the price, close to everything.

The staff are really helpful and nice. I was able to alert them that our flight was going to arrive late and we wouldn’t actually be able to check in until after midnight and they were responsive through the Expedia app to indicate they would hold the room. We had a king bed and the room was spacious and clean. The hotel provided a can of Coke, Sprite, and bottles of water that appeared to be complementary. There were slippers, a bathrobe, and a water boiler with bags of tea. There were also moisturizing face masks for us that appeared to be complementary as well. There was a really large bath, but the drain was not doing a good job of holding the water in and the curtains would let light seep in a bit earlier than we wanted. We paid for the breakfast to be included. It was good. We were there in July so it was very hot and humid outside and the breakfast area always felt very hot for me as someone who lives in a very air conditioned environment back home. there is construction nearby that isn’t too loud, but if you’re not used to living in a large city, it could disrupt you a little bit. They did start early and seem to work late. I would definitely stay here again
