Is was very centric and cosy. The room (11) was kinda small, but I was travelling solo, so it wasn’t a problem.

I stayed for 5 nights in Sep 2019. Pros: The neighbourhood (Malasana) is very central and lively. The hotel is a short walk from Tribunal metro station. The hotel is very simple - there are 20 rooms, one floor up from ground level. Service and cleanliness were also OK. The shower design was nice in that the shower head is mounted directly overhead. Having a kettle to boil water in the room was a nice touch, as were the safe and fridge. Cons: The A/C unit in the room made drippy water noises. The sink in the washroom was a bit too shallow, making it easy for water to splash onto the counter. It would have been nice to have a bit more counter space around the sink. The bed is a bit on the stiff side. The neighbourhood, while lively, may be a bit too noisy for some - there are people out on the streets until well after midnight, which may be a problem if you like to sleep early.

The hotel is fairly basic but location is great and the rooms were clean.

The staff was very helpful! I told her some problems of the room and the next day they were all fixed. It was a very pleasant surprise. The location of the hostel is superb - close to the main shopping area.

Ideal location close to centre of Madrid, friendly staff, great price

A nice small hotel in old city. very convienient location -- 5 mins to Metro station, you find everything around and you can even just walk to the Gran Via / Madrid Palace /Cibeles, etc. The single room is small but you will not spend that much time in, so not a problem there. the price is approperate, room facilities are quite new. however the reception does not speak good english, and Bath room is very small. in total it is a good choice.

Good standard for being a hostel that central. Slightly difficult to find the place. The bathroom was tiny and the room's ventilation was rather poor, but it felt clean and the employees were helpful. Amazing location close to shoppuing, food and bars. Could here noise during nights but didn't bother us that much.

Hotel Malasana CC is a hidden gem. It is not the usual hostel or hostal that you will see being obvious from a street level. But nevertheless, the quality is just as good as a room hotel except that the size is much smaller. If your aim is quite straightforward - to have a bed to sleep the night away, and to have your own nice private bathroom, then this is the perfect place to stay. The Hostal is manned 24/7 by a reception staff who can open the door for you. Its a no frills, but very modern accomodation that is very clean, well-maintained and in a very central location.

Down comforters and blackout curtains included in description but not found in the room. Especially important for curtains. Wispy paper strips taped over window did little to block out bright lights that kept turning on and off all night. Otherwise this place was great for the price. Shower was hot and strong, it was easy to come and go, staff was friendly, bed was comfortable and the in room safe was a nice addition.

Good value hostal in a central location near Gran Via, museums, and metro.

A nice, small establishment. Very close to the city centre, with very reasonable prices. The rooms are mostly very small and lacking most unnecessary comforts (e.g. minibar, bath tube, closet). There is no room service or daily cleaning, but for its price, it is highly recommended.

Do not be put off by first impressions; there is no reception - this is basically the second floor of an old apartment block which has been converted into hotel bedrooms. My room and bathroom were basic (but quite stylish) - perfect if all you want is a base for visiting Madrid and just need a room to sleep and clean up. There are plenty of great cafes nearby for breakfast.

The hotel has just opened and advertised it had air con. Upon checking in, i was told it wasnt working as the hotel was new. There was also no waste bins in the rooms. I understand these are growing pains but at least for the AC- you should let guests know.
