Handy location, walkable from the central station and spacious room.
Not right beside the station but if you don’t mind 10 min walk, it’s very handy. Friendly services and new/modern facilities I would stay again.

Great hotel a little off the beaten path. Great value if you don’t mind a walk. The decor was a little outdated and trying too hard to be contemporary. I would stay there again.

Unfortunately I’m not able to rate a 5 star review. This is my experience:
Day 1, we found out the shower drain was block, found myself my legs being soaked in the shower with dirty water, had to get out of shower quickly (about 2 mins shower) worried the water gonna run out the shower room and flood the entire bathroom.
Day 2, around 10:30 am wake up and rang the reception desk to request to fix the drain, they promised will do that during the day.
Came back to hotel in the late evening, 10 pm found out the shower is still blocked. Rang the reception desk they said will get back to wait. Waited about 30 min no one back to me. Rang again, they requested me to hold the phone , waited, then they said to provide me a different room which is located on 6th floor ( my room is on 9th floor) for a shower only. And will let me know when the room is ready. Waited another 30 mins. No one ever contact me and I had to ring AGAIN, they said just 5 mins someone will bring me a room key. Waited another hour. No one ever bring me a key or fix the drain. It’s 11:50 pm. I was too tired to wait so I rang the reception please don’t bother to bring me key anymore I need to sleep now. It’s horrible.
Day 3, 10 am in the morning I rang the reception desk Again, they apologised about last night and offered me free breakfast for the next day. And they also sent someone to fix the drain finally, actually they could have done that one day before. Drain finally fixed. Thank god.

Front desk staff friendly but not often helpful if an issue arose . Natalia however was excellent!
Elevator often not working properly. Alternative exit from 2 nd floor was stairs but door to main flor was locked.

Convenient pre-cruise hotel for exploring Amsterdam. Near Train Central. Visited many Amsterdam classics (Anne Frank house, Rijksmuseum, other. Upscale feel to hotel and room. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel, However...
I asked for a room as far away from the elevator as possible and that put me in a room as close to the elevator as one could get. There was a tremendous amount of construction going on which they were very upfront about. Because of the open architecture the construction was amplified up to the 7th floor.
The staff was really helpful, pleasant and Amazing!
The hotel location was wonderful, quiet and had very good accessibility to Joordan.
My biggest complaint was that the elevators were using some software from the 1500's as I had to wait over 20 minutes to get from the basement restaurant to my room. Incredibly slow at all times.
In summary the room was lovely...

Great hotel with lovely staff. Spacious room, comfy bed and good shower. Iron and hair dryer plus shampoo/conditioner. Mini bar stocked with reasonable prices. 10 minute walk from central station and into the main town. Nice to be slightly out of the centre. Would definitely come back.

Clean property. Rooms are decent size as well washroom are modern and well maintained. Hotel is about 10 to 15 min walk from the Amsterdam Centraal Station.
One negative point is not much food optios close by. Though, Amsterdam centre is about 20 min walk and lots of dinning optios there.

Ok hotell, but not worth the 4 stars. Tap in Bathroom was broken and only one cover for 2 people in a double bed, and when I asked for one more, I got a plain blanket…, because apparently rom service had gone home… I Said none of us would sleep only with a plain blanket in a 4 Star hotell, that we paied 2 for… Then after a while, he came back with a covered blanket. But a ”blanket”…

Very good, clean hotel. Good value for money. Room could have been slightly smarter, a couple of stains on the sofa and loose wires behind/below the TV. TV didn’t work well. Otherwise very good. The staff are all incredibly nice and very helpful.

Nice and comfortable room with a half obstructed view of a building across. Close to ferry and train station with many attractions in a walkable distance.
Thermostat in the room was not working properly and it seemed the A/C was not controllable.
Breakfast was overpriced for options offered and caused food poisoning on the first day so would skip in favor of Bagels & Beans across the street or any local bakery.

We had a lovely 4 night stay at Alma recently and was very pleased with our decision. We loved that the hotel was very well located to the Central Train station ( 10 min. Walk), Grand Place, many shops and restaurants yet on a very quiet street. Ava was so welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. She was a joy to meet. Our room was very comfortable, quiet and spacious with an enjoyable view!
We had a nice breakfast daily. Not fancy but plenty of choices.
We highly recommend Alma to anyone traveling to Brussels. It was a great home base for us and convenient to Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp for day trips. Also a good value and deserves a higher rating.

A lovely hotel in an interesting area not far from the city, easily walkable. Staff were very friendly, some fabulous design features, big rooms, breakfast was fantastic. We’d have loved a drink in the bar as it looked inviting, but there were never any other people in it, so it lacked a bit of atmosphere. Will definitely stay here again when we re-visit Amsterdam.

The room is big, the bed is comfy, nice view, but had to walk a little to shop.

The sofa bed was a sofa. They made a bed on a sofa. It was hard and impossible to sleep in the sofa. We chose a room for 3 with a queen bed and a sofa bed, but it was a queen bed with a sofa. It was very inconvenient. Room 814.
