Surf style themed with lots of attention, there been construction going on so not really convinient to use the pool features- good value for money

They offered us some bomb juice upon check in and the food we ordered room service for was great. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was very clean.

Nice hotel with good size pool, gym and a boxing room! Decent breakfast spread, good size room and very comfortable bed. Friendly staff at receiption too.

Clean hotel near to beach. Staffs doing their best to serve but need more training on service quality.

Will definitely stay again. The only issue we had was with the WiFi - it was a challenge to stay connected without having to sign in every time. Other than that, service, room and buffet breaky was fabulous!

I loved the lay out of the hotel and room. It was modern and homey at the same time. The free minibar was a total suprise and very welcoming. Great idea. The pool was refreshing but a little difficult to step down into and get out of with 2 very large steps. The location was perfect, quiet but close to restaurants and not far from the beach.

While the hotel has all the families and attractive design we witnessed a lot of small issues that reduced the comfort during our stay. The first room we got had a mouldy smell coming from the shower. They gave as another room but rushed us because this room was supposed to be given to the next guest, which means the hotel likely will not do anything to resolve the mould issue. Some other issues we faced with the new room: loud music from a nearby karaoke place until midnight, AC unit was extremely loud and a couple of min before we checked out someone entered our room without proper announcement while we were still there. Overall cleanliness was another issue.Some positive things to call out are the convenient location in the town center (a bit far from beach though), breakfast with large variety and free minibar restocking every day. Overall, this could be a decent hotel if management were more attentive and ensured flawless maintenance.

Too many mosquitos in the room. They have no AC in the lobby, they leave the windows open which allows flies into the hotel. Pool was dirty and small. They only had 1 complimentary item in the minibar for 1 person, they should include 2 of each item. I had requested a pool access room prior to arriving and once I got there they informed me it was sold out. Glad I didnt get the room as the pool was a big disappointment. The beds were uncomfortable and sheets had stains on them. They need to remodel and clean the hotel more. Kata is a quieter area but the hotel is in a great location, with shops, spas and restaurants within walking distance. The beach was also near by, does require a walk by the sewerage (not a scenic walk at all). This place is OK nothing great to say but we were happy with the location.

Boutique hotel that is truly boutique. Nice deco, nice design!Everything pleasant and enjoyable, including the clean swimming pool, the boxing room, and the smiling staff.Breakfast simple, but plenty and tasty.

I have just extended my stay for another 4 nights after staying for 8 nights. The rooms are very spacious ,comfortable and have everything you need. The food is great and very reasonable compared to outside the hotel and no extra cost for room service. The reception staff were very helpful when I needed help with some Thai business. I'd definitely recommend this hotel!

We would like to send our heartfelt thanks to the staff for making our stay from 12 March to 15 March 2017 a memorable one. Special thanks to Ging and Oil for always being there with a smile on their faces, welcoming us back to the hotel after a long day exploring the island. They were the ones who created an amazing experience for us. Ging and Oil were accommodating with our requests and provided us with recommendations on the good eateries nearby. Housekeeping also did a fantastic job, ensuring that the rooms were in mint condition, and always ready with a smile and a greeting when bumped into them along the corridor. However, staff at breakfast could be slightly more pleasant and to smile more. Breakfast selection was good and sufficient. Location was good, alot of eateries nearby, walking distance to the beach. Not as crowded as Patong. Items in the mini bar (a can of beer, sneaker bar, water, etc) was complimentary and replenished daily. Overall, a great experience at Sugar Marina Surf!

10 to 15 min walk from hotel to beach. Quiet, nothing much to do at night. Limited shopping nearby. Plenty of massage parlors. Few restaurants nearby. There's a outdoor seafood area that sells fresh seafood. Price not fixed can be discounted if you smile sweetly ^^ Hotel is clean but bed not very comfortable i find (really depends on body type i guess). Small and clean hotel pool. Pool access was convenient. Breakfast spread was limited choices. It would be better if more options were given. Mini bar was pathetic. 1 beer 1 soft drink 1 juice 2 bottles of water n 1 chocolate bar for 3 person. Just better to buy from 7-11 instead.

Had a pleasant stay. They even gave us breakfast to go since we had to catch an early morning flight.
