Very pleasantly surprised with our stay here. We stopped in for a night before we drove further up north and the rooms were clean and beds comfortable. My only complaint is there was an adjoining door to the room next to ours and whoever was in that room kept opening there end and trying to open our door and slamming theirs shut which resulted in waking my child a couple times at night, which is totally not the hotels fault at all! Otherwise a great stop along the way further north.

I called the hotel a week before to reserve a first floor room due to my husband having ankle surgery. They confirmed a first floor. At check in, they gave us a second floor room. They don't have elevators. We were told all of the first floor rooms are occupied and they couldn't do anything. They said I can try another hotel. I told them I called them a week earlier and a first floor was confirmed. Had it not been confirmed a week ago I would have cancelled before the refund deadline and booked at another hotel. After 30 minutes of the front desk making phone calls, they somehow came up with a first floor room (after we were told their wasn't anything available). The room ended up having ants in the bathroom and the toilet didn't work properly. The breakfast was the same every day, waffles and sausage. We stayed at this hotel in the past but will never book here again.

Outside is really cute. The inside needs updates. Mattress was hard. Room needed to be repainted. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was okay. The room was clean which was important to us. For the price we have stayed in much worse hotels.

We’ve stayed at Cedar Hill Lodge almost every time we’ve visited Saint Ignace, and we are never disappointed. Rooms are welcoming with custom-painted cedar trees on the walls. Heated pool, hot tub, and campfire pits (with free wood) available to use. Breakfast served as well. Overall great value!

This was our fourth year in a row stating this night. Consistency is their best feature. It has always been a wonderful experience. They have a great staff who care about their customers. This year we forgot a pillow when we left. We called 10 hours later and asked I'd they had found it. They had, and saved it for us to pick up when we went back through a few days later. WE WILL BE BACK TO STAY AGAIN!

The breakfast and pool area were clean and nice. The room carpet had large stains, the a/c filter was completely clogged, the shower didn’t drain so I had ankle deep water every time I showered. I reported the drain to the front desk and they said they would fix it. They did not fix it. Also no daily room cleaning or towel replacement. Overall I’d probably stay here again but don’t expect much

This hotel looks nice from the outside but inside is very outdated. AC is terrible/non existent. Room was SO hot. Booked a balcony room but was given a standard room and property says Expedia doesn’t tell them this information so be careful when booking because you won’t necessarily get what you think you’re paying for. Staff was not at all helpful - even when just trying to purchase a soda from the lobby, they couldn’t figure out how to charge us and told us to try the dollar store across the street instead. Outdoor amenities like the grill, picnic tables, fire pit and view of Mackinaw were the only parts we enjoyed.

Things were very clean, but this property is aging-out. It needs an extreme upgrading, inside and out. Walls & carpeting needs replacing - hallway floor & walls seem neglected. Outside need paint and upgrade to landscaping. Lovely people but property does not get top billing. Bed also sags and pillows are inferior, but the hot tub was nice;-)

I made a reservation back in June and when we got there in September they said there’s no reservation under that name. We ended up having to take a different room. Then we got a complaint about noise in our room. My daughter is 2 years old so yes she makes a lot of noise. Also the toilet seat kept coming off.

Dated, bed wasnt great, kinda worn. For an older property it was still decent. Price was a little more than it should've been, but it was still ok. Check in was late, because rooms weren't ready. I asked the front desk for towels, thought someone would put fresh ones in my room, but instead i had to retrieve them. Covid policy's need revamped..

Location was great for getting to the ferry to Mackinac Island. Comfortable enough for our family. Liked that the sink was outside the bathroom. Breakfast was overall good: nice to have two waffle makers, but muffins were dry. Towel bar was missing in the bathroom and wish the water pressure was stronger.

Internet didn’t work. When tried to contact the front desk received a message they were closed for the season. Went to the front desk who offered no help. Bed was comfortable and location from ferry was good. Bathroom floor was nasty and tub would not drain. Shower curtain disgusting.

The main lodge looked very nice and the eating area for breakfast very nice; however the rooms with dogs was very dirty and gross. I realize many people that have dogs are not clean, but we are very clean and keep are dog very clean and do not destroy things.
Suggestion: have hard floors not carpet. Much easier to clean and more sanitary

Beautiful location with a distance view of Mackinaw Island. Well manicured lawns with various seating areas and a few firepit areas. Located minutes from downtown St. Ignace shopping, eating and fun things to do.

Room was clean. We had an OK 2 night stay. There was nothing spectacular or real bad. Only complaint was the low water pressure. The water was very soft, so had to be careful to not use too much soap when washing hair.
