Very clean, very quiet, have delicious breakfast. The staff were great.

Manager of the hotel is rude, inconsiderate… when I first arrived at the hotel, I was told I could use the SPA before my late flight. THEN they said I couldn’t and that I never spoke to anyone about it…. Then he basically shamed me in-front of the whole staff which was unprofessional

Fantastic property. Great rooms, service and amazing breakfast. Make sure you chill at the restaurant across the street for some Tea and sweets.

They made me wait an hour and a half extra to check in and then a male staff member entered my room without knocking as i was changing. I found the experience unprofessional and concerning.

What an excellent hotel! Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, wonderful location right inside the city gates to the Old City, only steps from wonderful restaurants and shopping. There are amazing sights just blocks from the hotel as well like the Maiden Tower. Stay here if you can!

The property is beautiful in a good location. Restaurant is good. Staff have very poor English and service awareness. We had to call multiple times for basic services as toilet paper, pillows.

The Shah Palace is an amazing hotel - by far the best on our trip. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly!

Shah palace hotel i Baku Azerbaijan is a true joy to be in , we were with couple of friends there stayed 5 days and every day was more fun then the previous one. The day starts with an AMAZING breakfast with wonderful kitchen staff and Breakfast manager. there us a wonderful SPA, AND GYM over all its a 10 out of 10 .

This beautiful museum hotel is most convenient to many famous places in Baku. We loved it.

I arrived at the hotel a few hours before the standard check in time. I mentioned my gold membership with hotels.com, and that it had sent me a message saying subject to availability I was eligible for an early check-in. The check-in clerk refused to even determine if there was anything available. When I mentioned my gold status and that hotels.com sent me a message advising of a potential early check-in, the clerk abruptly responded by saying "That's not my problem". Upon returning to the hotel at the appointed time, the clerk pettily assigned me to the dreaded 5th floor of the hotel, which was actually in an annex of the hotel and required ttrekking up two long flights of stairs as that floor was not served by an elevator. Worse, I was assigned to a room (504) that faced a parking lot with garbage collection and other neighborhood noises early in the morning. I couldn't get a decent night's sleep the entire visit I was there. The included breakfast was good. Not certainly as good as many other places, but good. The hotel is centrally located in the old city which made logistics very easy. If I hadn't had to encounter such an appallingly rude staff member, I probably would have had a better and more enjoyable stay in Baku.

Shah Palace benefits from a perfect location inside the wall of the Old city. The building itself is quite impressive, with a beautiful central atrium. The room was spacious and fairly well equipped, the bed is very comfortable. The decoration is as seen on the pictures. Breakfast buffet is quite extensive but quite basic, quality is mediocre to my taste. The personnel is kind and tries hard to be very helpful. They have organised restaurant bookings for me ahead of arrival for instance, and helped to reconfirm a flight. But at times, they seem a bit unsure about what needs to be done. All in, a very good experience

There were issues at check-in as they weren't looking at the right place for my booking. I had to make calls and take roaming charges and eventually the manager could locate. They did allow me early check-in which was great. Front desk staff were amazing and friendly. The hotel is ancient style like the name suggests, but equally very beautiful. Room was nice, clean and spacious. Even food at the hotel was nice despite limited choices. The washroom layout could be better certainly and the water pressure too. Perhaps the washrooms need upgrading now. Location was brilliant, right inside old town and walking distance to everything. Overall, I would highly recommend staying with them.

This is a unique stay in the heart of the old city. The breakfast buffet was one of the best, with endless options that changed daily. It was clean and the staff were friendly. I would definitely recommend.

Great stay , nice classic room 209. Only bathtub need some real work. Too high on door is in wrong direction. They need real design engineer to correct the issue. Or replace it with standard shower room.

Nice hotel in the old town in Baku, with very good location. Breakfast was ok, but maybe missing something for a western european person, if that is important for you. Ok when it comes to cleaning. Could have had les fake flowers and decorations...

Spacious rooms but needs updating. Style is very traditional but could do with an added modern twist - big throws and heavy curtains are overwhelming. Shower needs updating. Beautiful lobby that is not used and in the dark! Would make a wonderful place for drinks.
