WiFi was pretty bad. Sometimes unusable. Fantastic location. Rooms were fine. And service was fine

Clean, efficient hotel in a great area - close to Gion, Nishiki Market and a quick train ride from Kyoto station. It was a great place to stay while exploring Kyoto for a few days. Check in was quick and easy, the staff were lovely and helpful. Luggage forwarding was available and the front desk staff took care of everything.Toiletries were available in the lobby to take to the room and there was complimentary ice cream snacks. The room was a typical Japan hotel size, small but with everything needed including a small fridge. Sound carried well from room to room so if you are a light sleeper you may want to use earplugs, it wasn’t too bad though. Would recommend a stay here, the surrounding area had tons of food and shop options and it’s very close to a train station for getting around easily.

Great service. Loved the little touches like free ice cream, toiletries, robes, slippers and they let you borrow umbrellas as well. Loved the location and proximity to market, shops, restaurants and nite life. Would definitely stay again on next trip to Kyoto.

I enjoy a lot

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Gran Ms Kyoto! The room was comfortable, clean, and well-designed, with a staff that was extremely friendly and helpful. They had a very relaxing lobby and even offered free ice cream treats every day. We loved the location and having so many delicious food and shopping options within close walking distance. They also have laundry facilities which was very much needed. If we are ever in Kyoto again, I will choose this hotel. I will also be highly recommending it to any friends traveling.

Great hotel located not too far away from Gion area. Walkable distance to lots of sight seeing spots. Self serve ice cream bar was a nice little suprise at check-in. The staff were very helpful. Would stay here again when in Kyoto.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Terrible wifi (drops, weak), rooms reek of smoke though hotel is non smoking allegedly, construction across the street, thin walls, dirty room. I moved to another hotel than staying in this place. Dont do it.

Amazing

Room great, staff amazing. Location unbeatable. Make sure dryer is 1/3 full, no more, it will not dry. The adjacent cemetery is beautiful, and there's privacy screens on the window if you're uncomfortable with cemeteries. Night clubs closish, but we slept fine with our window open. Will return if in the area again.

Staff were excellent but the walls were very thin. Bring ear plugs in case you have noisy neighbours like I did

excellent location very near the Teramachi and main shopping area in Kyoto. Do note that the room I had was installed with a Unit bath that is an integrated toilet and bath/shower. The issue is that the entire bathroom is literally a step up into in so one needs to be careful

My only comment would be to seal around the bath tub so that mold doesn’t grow
