I was referred to stay at Hotel Carolina,,and was not disappointed the whole building is unique and wonderful ,i personally loved the rooftop pool ,you will understand why,, the staff was terrific,close to everything in the Historic section and Marina ,,George V from St Petersburg Fl

Nice property with great presentation but a number of service-related negatives that affected our enjoyment and willingness to recommend: (1) Charged full price for happy hour drinks - we didn’t realise until receipt for room charges was emailed to us after we had left, (2) Over-priced hotel-affiliated taxis are parked right at the front door, and will literally give you a hard time if you call an Uber or regular taxi, (3) Night concierge treated my wife and mother-in-law like they were prostitutes when we came back late one night (until he realised they were paying guests), and (4) Restaurant service was a bit hit and miss (eg. having to remind staff about placed drink orders).

A beautifully renovated hotel.
Check-in was great. Fast and easy. The staff speak Spanish and English.
We had a suite which was spacious for a family of 4. The main bedroom is separated from the area where the kids slept. Comfy beds, balcony over the pool, and a huge bathroom. TV in both rooms kept the kids happy!
The pools are lovely with 3 options of pool!
The bar and restaurantares great. Service is impeccable, and the food and drink were lovely.
Included in the price was a free breakfast, which was very good.
And there's very good free Wi-Fi.
The locationn is great and very central. 5 minute walk to the seafront and beach. Be careful at night at the area can be a bit sketchy.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I'd come back here for sure.

Beautiful inside the hotel. However, if you’re traveling alone the couple of blocks from the square to the hotel are very sketchy at night and it didn’t feel safe walking alone. The dehumidifier in my room also became full at 4:45 in the morning and beeped incessantly until I turned it off, making for a terrible night sleep.

Roaches, dirty toilet, the best feature is the breakfast quality and service, David and the chef, ask them to surprise you with something típicas. Front Desk José David is amazing, la muchacha q trabajo hoy Domingo en la mañana y el que cerró anoche, are very nice too

Beautiful hotel with clean, well-designed rooms. Both diner and breakfast were high-quality. Helpful service. We loved the different pool options, including rooftop hot tub. We were approached in a slightly threatening manner by individuals in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, who then began fighting amongst themselves. The hotel itself felt very secure, and we never felt unsafe on the hotel premises.

The staff were amazing and super accommodating. Food was fantastic! Rooms were quiet and comfortable. The facilities were great, with just a few minor issues: 1) our bathroom door didn't close completely -- not a deal breaker for us, but for some it may be. 2) our room was missing a smoke detector. 3) the water from the taps isn't drinkable .There is always water (and coffee!) available in the lobby, so not a major issue, but something that needs to be planned for overnight.

The hotel was excellent. It is clean and centrally located. The staff was super helpful, and many spoke English. We got in late our first night and they helped us order food from a local restaurant that did delivery. Luz at the restaurant was great and made excellent cocktails and smoothies, which we enjoyed while we were there.

Even though the hotel's nice, the neighborhood feels sketchy and not so safe to wander around. I'd really recommend the hotel beefs up security by getting some guards at the entrance. It's a cool spot, but just be cautious about the area when you stay there."

If you are only looking for beauty inside and excellent service, this is the hotel, the staff were amazing,food excellent,rooms are clean and pretty .however around they are plenty drug addicts ,homeless,and dirt but it’s close the Bahia and beautiful vintage buildings.

The service is so good here and the food is crazy delicious especially the ceviche. Rooms are ok but a bit outdated so some issues but the staff would fix it quickly. The pools are small but love the rooftop one. Location is right in the perfect spot to walk everywhere but the street is a little sketchy.

Space in the room, very clean site, staff were amiable and friendly, multiple pools and sites to chill.
Not far from the street with multiple good restaurants, but a bit shaddy area, especially night time--take a taxi.
All day coffee and fruits was appreciated. Dinner was good, breakfast ok. Breakfast staff very nice.
Massage was very deep tissue, they worked hard 🙂

From the moment we checked to the last minute at Casa Carolina we were treated like VIPS. Excellent customer service and superb dining choices. A shout out to José David for helping us with a tour. A big tag k you to all the staff and management for a wonderful stay.

First time staying at Hotel Boutique Casa Carolina and the staff is fantastic and friendly. The property has some of the best rooms and overall aesthetics I have ever stayed at in a hotel. Additionally, the breakfast and dinner and bar are all convenient and exceptional.

Great hotel! Excellent staff and hotel at a reasonable price. The three pools and courtyards are beautiful. Easy walking distance to the Malecon and other places to visit in the city center The neighborhood is relatively safe but can be a littly sketchy at night. From the outside the hotel looks modest but it's beautiful upon entering. Best breakfast I've had in many trips to South America. Highly recommend.

Casa Carolina is an oasis in the middle of Santa Martas old town. A wonderful place to stay, comfortable rooms with all you need, cool and clean.
The personnel is extraordinarily friendly and helpful with everything you need.
The restaurant ( breakfast , all day eating) is really delicious.
Definetely a jewel and recommended.

Wow, wow, wow!!!! The price was unreal affordable for how nice the place is. Feels like 5 star resort. Rooms are huge clean and modern. The property has 3 pools and a restaurant with amazing food and drink. Staff was great all were 10/10. If I could give this place a higher rating ai would. Please stay here and save your money. It has all you could expect. I was happy I decided on the overnight trip here.

The property itself was good. Good staff members and good service. Unfortunately for us, on our last night there out power went out. We slept with out AC in a stuffy room. When you drive up to the property, you will not be impressed. The streets around the property are not upkept like they are in Parque de Los Novios.
