The room was well appointed however there were a few issues to mention: 1) The bathroom door handle came off and was not installed properly (Poor quality workmanship). 2) The TV remote was not working properly, and I could not lower the volume (no physical button on the TV either) and there was no way you can turn the TV off with the bright white screen staying on (you have to turn off the switch at the power point). 3) TV reception was horrible and all channels were freezing constantly. 4) The shower was very powerful and the spout sprays water outside the tub. 5) There is no room service on a Sunday. I asked for my room to be made up and the cleaning staff said no. They did give me a fresh set of towels. 6) The pictures on Wotif are deceiving. There are no push bikes to use nor is there a courtesy bus available. If you don't have your own car, then you will have to walk 30 minutes to the CBD or hire an e-scooter or Uber or Taxi.

I wanted to bring to your attention as spending nearly $600 dollars on accommodation I was expecting a bit more than what we received, when arriving to check in no run down was provided about the amenities instead the receptionist just provided myself with a piece of paper with limited details and my room key and went back to their phone call, I would’ve liked to have received more information about the dining details and that room service is provided however, it had to be done at reception which defeats the purpose in my opinion. The room was not clean and stunk of mildew, the glass on the balcony was filthy, the bathroom had visible water damage the bathroom door could not be shut and the shower had residue and mould all over it and was not cleaned properly, It was also to my understanding the room would be cleaned each day and it wasn’t, I can see the only one day someone had entered our room and only changed the towels and we did have a dirty bowl sitting on the bench I could see it had been accidentally dropped but put back and the remaining sauce that was in the bowl was spilt on the floor and left there the whole day until we returned that evening. I also found it concerning that all the dirty and ‘clean linen and towels’ were sitting out in the open air in the car park exposed to the elements for days and The tv remote needs replacing as it barely worked.

Good in pictures but actually dated. You notice in room that walls/lamps etc is old and need renew. Bed was comfy!!! Also included room with door that is locked with other room is weird because you can hear other room tv and stuff. Just give the room with middle door to familys.

A lovely place. Quiet and very tidy.

Average standard accommodation, although the package deal was good cost-wise especially if you travel with large family requiring more than 1 room (pretty much the only option you have). Average standard of cleanliness, service, state of repairs, etc. However, different people have different expectations. Safe location, plenty of parking.

Nice room and facilities, quiet location

Bathroom was terrible, mouldy and the door wouldn't close due to being swollen from moisture. Cleanliness was not up to scratch.

The rooms were clean and had great amenities. The King sized beds were great. A little damage to the wall tiles in the bathroom and some mould on the bathroom ceiling. One night someone came into the room and but left immediately when I said 'hello!'. The office said it was most likely the maintenance person who went to the wrong room.

Our room had connecting doors to the room next to ours, @ approx 11pm the person in the next room opened up both door & tried to enter ours, my wife yelled & he quickly reversed, not sure why the connecting doors were left unlocked, our room was also not cleaned, & bed not made, we will not be going back!!!

This property is great value for money; the rooms are large and clean and it is a very quiet area about 3-4 minutes from the centre of town.

Great location near Queens Park. Close is about 15-20min walk. Neat, tidy, spacious and comfortable rooms. Great for our purpose.

TV was dodgy, but staff were great from the initial ph. call, through helpfulness at late check-in and check out. Will return for sure. (bed was perfect for me too!)

Love staying here. The rooms are so quiet and comfy, the staff are so friendly and nice. 1000% will recommend this place to anyone that needs somewhere to stay.

Biggest problem was the power points either side of the bed were not Australian. (No idea why) My husband could not plug his CPAP machine in unless we dragged the bed to the opposite side of the room where they had the Australian standard wall plugs. The other issue was the bathroom had an unpleasant wet smell. Pool was good, fairly quiet at night because your out of town. Okay for the price.

Quiet, modern and clean, nice little cafe opening out to a great swimming pool, short walk to Iluka Park and Town Beach and fairly close to the Mackay CBD .... Best of all the price for a overnight stay is good value and quite competitive against other Hotels that don't present as well as Oceanside Central Hotel

Room pleasant, beds very comfortable, good air-conditioning. Dishes, cutlery and microwave provided, though strangely no toaster. Only downside - television reception hopeless.

The bed was comfy, it was quiet, pool was good - the place is looking a bit tired, we stayed in the same room a year and a half ago and the hole in the wall (which had been bogged up) had not been painted. The carpets could do with a clean, but overall suited our one night stopover.

Amazing

This was a pleasant surprise, a motel that was punching above it's weight. Quality fittings, spacious, as clean as, comfy bed, very reasonable rate, no complaints at all. I stuffed up the reservation but the manager dude fixed that beautifully. Recommend and would definitely go back.

Enjoyable

The accommodation was very clean, easy layout, airconditioning was great nice and cold, bed was comfortable, shower pressure was great and hot and cold water.

The place is very clean looks like brand new and. worth every money,it is also close to the beach. The staff are all friendly. Overall a great place to stay. Highly recommended to all fellow travellers!
