I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful property. The staff was phenomenal. The room (and upgrade) was immaculate, spacious and comfortable. The food was wonderful at every meal we had. You could not find a better spot to use as a base to explore the island.

A relaxing experience in a beautiful setting. The breakfast menu was excellent and the private wellness centre was much appreciated.

My fiancé and I had one of our best vacations to date. The villa we had was beautiful and our view was one of the best to wake up to every morning. Our staff was very accommodating with local recommendations for food, travel and ways to move around the island. We were given a cell phone to communicate with the front desk each and every question we had a they were very responsive. We will 100 percent be back.

Our stay was wonderful! The staff was extremely efficient, the location is stunning and the restaurant was fantastic. Would highly recommend !

Ines Silva went above and beyond for us during our stay. Five star employee. Dining staff seems unhappy and non engaging. The rooms are dark and drab. Rooms / outside of buildings are in need of a renovation badly. We stayed at Senhora da Rosa prior to staying here and got spoiled. Ines saved the ratings. A beautiful eco resort. I loved going into the sea (plenty of lifeguards around), the resort is accessible to wonderful restaurants (including their own) and attractions. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for 12 nights. What we liked most: View from pool and restaurant area is lovely. Staff is nice, the reception staff helped us a lot with recommendations on things to do and see. We liked the breakfast. What we liked less: There are no adults only areas and some days the pool turned into a childrens play pool and we had crying and screaming children in the restaurant, while other days were OK. Rooms are becoming somewhat timeworn and we found them too dark and not so pleasent, but I guess it depends on your taste. Gym area is very minimal and could be expanded with some more equipment. Overall when considering the price level of this hotel I found it to be okay but not great.

I am a hotel junkie and it was one of my best holidays. We even cut some of our excursions short just to be there. Fantastic staff, beautiful spot. We will return.

This is the place to go to relax and enjoy the beautiful peaceful island. The staff is exceptional and will help you with taxi arrangements and also suggestions. The bed and bath was perfect! They also packed a breakfast to go box because we left early. Thank you to Vitor, Inez, Nuno and everyone else! Loved your professionalism.

The hotel is nice in a beautiful location close to the beach, rooms are nice but quite simple interior and not really up to date. It is still a quite expensive hotel but doesn’t really live up to the standard.

Waking up to the sounds of birds and the ocean... delicious locally-sourced breakfast (fresh produce grown on property)... beautiful beach and infinite pool... Above all the staff were attentive and thoughtful. I can't say enough wonderful things about it. Would love to be back.

So relaxing and such a magical place! Loved our stay there. The only thing that I think really needed to be changed is that you have to make a reservation to use the exercise facility, and only one person or family can use it at one time. That was very inconvenient.

I had a room that looked out on the lap pool and it was marvelous to be able to go out my patio door and get in that water. The larger pool is gorgeous and looks out over the ocean. The front staff were great and so helpful. I truly loved this resort and will be back.

The hotel was lovely and had a good design and flow. Breakfast was good. Rooms were of high quality including a kitchenette. Loved the pool at the end of the terrace. Gym also was useable with limited equipment, but the right equipment which was great. For me the maintenance needs to be looked at. Things work, but decor needs to be replaced/updated.

This was probably one of the best resorts I’ve stayed in. The views were spectacular! The rooms were unique and cozy. The service from the staff was excellent. The food was delicious and unique. The property was secluded and quiet. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. It was perfect and exactly what I was looking for —relaxation and rejuvenation!!! I highly recommend!

Santa Barbara Eco Resort is a gorgeous property with beautiful infinity pools and amazing views of the ocean. The fine cuisine is delicious and they source most of their fruits and vegetables from their onsite gardens. The beach was the widest and most secluded that we saw during our 1 week trip to the Azores. It is public and accessible by walking down stairs from the resort. Our room was clean and having a pool right outside our door was really fun and relaxing. The service at the restaurant and bar, as well as the concierge and reception was excellent-- the staff were very kind, resourceful, generous and fun. We really hope to go back to Santa Barbara Eco Resort.

Amazing experience! Beautifully located near the beach. The room was lovely with direct access to the pool. Shame I only stayed for the weekend. I'll definitely go back to Azores just to stay in Santa Barbara Eco Resort!

We had an incredible experience staying here, almost everything was great. One of the perks of this place is that it gives an unforgettable opportunity to relax and enjoy a stunning nature around this gorgeous area. The overall experience with the ocean and the views is simply one in a lifetime!As for what could be done better - certainly check in wasn't the smoothest, we were actually waiting for front desk to notice us when we entered the main entrance until we came to the desk and introduced ourselves (we were very tired and were waiting for nice and easy welcome), other than that staff at the restaurant was mostly providing good service, however some of the staff were a bit out of touch and pretty slow during breakfast and sometimes lunches/dinners (sometimes we had to stand up and walk up to ask for service as we were forgotten about). We had to also sometimes ask for housekeeping to clean up our room, as it was taking time up to early evening hours to realise we weren't getting any. Our room with pool side was great, but a bit dark. Massages were actually not perfect, but pleasing - we felt that it didn't worth the price paid.As a last note, we'd like to thank Maria and Katarina for their splendid service and attention! Overall, it was very worth visiting this gem of a place, despite some minor disappointments.

The view was nice. The room was nice but no really privacy. Random kids appears in our garden and balcony, made a lot of noise too. The stuff of the hotel were so welcoming.
