The hotel was lovely and staff were very friendly and helpful. We did park in the hotel parking but got told you could only really park there if you had booked straight through the hotels website . We were told we may have to move to one of the public car paths. Thankfully it was ok and we didn’t need to move. Car parks are dotted around though. Location was fantastic 5 mins from castle and cathedral and shops.

The room was found too hot to stay during the night. The mattress was uncomfortable, view discouraging with waste bins under window. The breakfast was partly missed as waited 30min and still not served the hot meal.
Not worth to stay for that high price.

A nice hotel in an excellent location opposite the Castle and very close to the cathedral. A nice comfy room with nice bathroom. Pleased to see refillable toiletry bottles rather than little disposable ones. A good breakfast too and friendly helpful staff.
Our only issue was the parking. We were expecting free parking having put that as one of our requirements but when we arrived we were told the hotel car park was full so we would have to park in the local authority car park opposite and pay. Luckily we had parked on street for our first night and then a space became available in the hotel car park, but be aware that you might end up paying nearly £9 a day for parking.

From the time we arrived to the time we left staff were really friendly and very professional, Tiffany in front of house gave us one of the warmest welcomes I’ve ever recieved during a hotel stay and always engaged explaining all about places to go in Lincoln. Room was well laid out, clean and a good size for city hotel, breakfast was really good food need to go back to try the restaurant and see more of Lincoln.

Great location opposite the castle and a couple of minutes walk from the cathedral, loads of places to eat nearby. Clean, smart room with a comfy bed and great bathroom. The staff were really helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in Tritton suite which has a good view of the cathedral from the living area and only been in service for a few months. Finished to a high standard and really clean throughout. Bathroom is great as it has a large shower and bath with dressing gowns included. Really enjoyed our stay and will be returning. Only minor suggestions to improve the stay would be including slippers to go with the dressing gowns and a box of tissues (hayfever sufferer)!

I had a city view room which just overlooks the wall of the castle
I might as well have slept with the lights on with all the external lighting of the hotel illuminate in my bedroom
Breakfast was very minimalist with the guy telling me 'we don't serve latte with our type of breakfast' whatever that means

Unfortunately they were having building work done when we were there, right outside our window. Bit noisy and dusty, we didn't get an apology or choice of room change. They did seem a bit short staffed and the restaurant is only open Wednesday to Saturday. It is a comfy ,clean and conveniently located hotel though.

The room in this hotel was standard but in good condition. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough room between the desk and the bed to put a chair which made it difficult since I needed to use my laptop for work.
My main issues are with the staff. After being in the room for about 5 minutes, a staff member let themselves into my room without knocking while I was getting changed.
The second issue I had with the staff is that I wasn't informed during my check-in that the restaurant wasn't open that day. I only found this out later in the night when I came down for food. I had to order a takeaway in the end.

Nice small hotel right opposite the castle and with lovely views to the Cathedral (from my room at least). Very well located. Room whilst not overly large was very comfortable. Shower was hot and the breakfast was better than most.
My only minor gripe is the car park - it's tiny and you're very much at the mercy of other drivers. That being said, there's nothing to stop you parking in the pay car-park opposite if you're risk-averse.
I'd stay again.

Had a wonderful time. Receptionist was really friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. Rooms were very clean. The view from our window looking at the cathedral lit up at night was spectacular. Breakfast was excellent. Will definately stay again in the future.

I had a superb stay at The Castle Hotel. The welcome was very warm and friendly. My room was very quiet, and very comfortable. I am coming back to Lincoln in a few weeks and I shall book again.

Location was very good for visiting attractions i.e. castle cathedral and pubs but sadly let down by the lack of public transport i.e. buses and taxi services. People with walking disabilities would find it hard to get around due to the above mentioned.
