GREAT except for 3am train horns

The hotel was nice, the staff greeted us & helped with whatever we asked. They didn’t give us the cookies when we arrived so I told the guy at the desk when we were leaving & he was more than happy to provide me with the cookies. The pool was good, much better than pools other hotels say they have then it ends up being a little bigger than a bath tub & I say that because you can’t get laps in for exercise. By the time you take your 3rd stroke you’re already across the pool. Those hotels & pools are very disappointing but this one we were able to get some laps in. The room was nice, the bed comfortable although pillows very soft. No blanket in the closet in case you needed it & the ironing board had no padding just the cover over the metal board. Not a great thing. The bathroom was nice & roomy the only issue was the running of the water in the sink. It was a very low run, not what I would call hygienic because it just ran very low straight down & didn’t rinse anything away, you had to splash the water around with your hand. You have to pray the cleaners are good cleaners or you could have germs galore running around in that sink. I love that they leave you like 3 towels wash cloths & hand towels. This way if you need an extra you don’t have to try to find the staff that clean the rooms. I love also that they have bottled water for you. The restaurant Cheers down in the lobby has some good dishes & the breakfast was good.

Bad area

The personnel was very friendly from the moment I entered the hotel, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Clean bathroom, spacious shower. Breakfast good quality, enough choice, also of real fresh fruits. And positive : parking space in the parking garage next to the hotel included in the rate. Will for sure go back when in Reading next time.

The hotel is really noce. The brekfast restaurant could do a better job, though.

Overall great experience

After parking in the garage, I entered the hotel through the parking garage doors. The hotel door was locked and as instructed I rang the doorbell to be let in. I stood there for a while ringing the doorbell before being buzzed into the hotel. I almost walked back to my car and left. There was only one elevator working and so it took a while for it to get to all of the floors. I waited for probably 8 minutes before getting on it for breakfast, so I took the stairs back up 6 floors since there was 10 people in line after breakfast. The only stairs I could find were in an employee only section. Not very convenient or efficient.

Excellent customer service, definitely recommend it and will come back.

Perfect property very convenient location

Our one night stay was awesome. We were there for a baseball game at First Energy Stadium. We parked our car in the garage and jumped into the free hotel shuttle and in five minutes we were at the stadium. The driver gave us a brief history of the area as we drove to the game. When the game ended, we called the hotel for a return shuttle and a new driver was there in minutes. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were amazing. Our breakfast buffet was the best we have ever had during any stay in any state! If you travel to this area, the Double Tree is a Triple Treat. You will not be disappointed. The front desk staff greeted us as if we were family members. Thank you DT.

Best place to stay if you are going to a concert! The hotel was clean, great staff service and the rooms were clean.

Room was spotless. Bath products and coffee fixings were provided. Plenty of towels for 4 person stay.

I checked in and had to interrupt the clerk checking me in because she was on her phone. Turns out that you get a cookie upon check-in? Never given. Letting me know about area attractions? Never mentioned. The fact that the street would be closed off later making it inaccessible because of a graduation was never uttered! The quality inn or LaQuinta I stayed at were more attentive.
