It was a great stay. Owner was great. Had a great cabin feel unfortunately had the good old cabin mustyness and smell which is hard on your sinuses and sleep. We could smell the musty smell all over us when we got home and all had headaches.
It is what it is, them old cabins up north are like that so we just dealt with it.

Pillows flat and only 1 per person.
Futon was broke could not open it into bed frame did not line up.
Not enough towles and wash cloths for 6 people.
3/4 of a roll of toilet on roll no additional toilet paper in the cabin.
Advertising as rock castle resort whis far from a resort.
1 full size bed in 1 room
The other had bunk bed which was not disclosed.
The on-line add was misleading did not represent the true picture of the place.

Would not recommend or stay there again sorry to say.

I liked that is was close to Lake George.I didn't like the room. Thin walls, plus dead spiders. & spider webs.

I have to admit I booked this completely spur of the moment and after reading the reviews was a littler nervous BUT when I got there the owners were SO nice and the cabin was so cute and clean! It was definitely worth it and we will be back!!

The picture I saw on Expedia was nothing like the cabin I paid for! Walls and floor was not level! Walls were extremely thin! We were literally in a closet! And no usual even outlet on bathroom!!! So small! So sorry but that is the truth

Very uncomfortable bed and flimsy. Pictures show full kitchen and web descriptions say kitchenette but really its just a microwave and leaky fridge. 55.50 dog fee is overpriced for 8lb dog. 10 am checkout is too early. Questionable odor.

The place was closed, but stayed open for this long weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving), The cabin I was in (#21) was old and run down, drafty as all get out, and I had to go into town to get scented candles to get rid of the smell. Definitely wont be back, and unless they renovate the heck out of the place over winter, I dont recommend this place to anyone. Its cheap for a reason. I should have just left and found a better place but I was too tired to bother.

It was a great stay need quite time . We felt very comfortable and the stsgf was great.. they even gave me a cup of coffee...I would recommend they put coffee pots in the cabins

The guy who checked us in was extremely hospitable and nice. He offered to help us get to the beaches, helped us figure out what to do in the city, and attended every ask we had. He was extremely helpful.

Beware little cottage I have stayed in cottages or separate buildings before, But unit #17 here should fall offs it piers. The buildings I saw on the looked like they all had fresh paint, But wait till you open the door.maybe we got the last of the buildings to be rebuild. The wall/building was listing 8 at floor and 18 at the top of the wall. no towels/pillow cases, requested. they put on P/C but towel for 1 person, they knew it was for 2, my wife and I. the floor felt like it was soon to collapse/saggy/springy.The mattress was new...A Long time ago we are thinking maybe a decade. It was a place you dont take your socks off and you sleep in bed clothes. And all this was for $128, 1 night..the shower door was off track, the bathroom was SMALL, no Tiny. But I was only in unit #17, cant speak for rest of property.

Quaint lodging in this beautiful resort area. We arrived late at night, and were promptly greeted by the proprietor. There were a couple of communal campfires going, with guests enjoying a beautiful summer evening. We were in one of the cabins (each cabin has two rooms, sharing a center wall). The rooms are spartan and clean, although dated, but that is part of this venue's charm. We would definitely consider this venue for a future stay to take advantage of the amenities and to see more of life in Lake George and its natural beauty and historical sites.

In general it was okay, the only disappointment was that we were a group of 10 and we didn't get cabins next to each other even after I made the request ahead of time. Keep in mind that it is a cabin not a hotel room.

It was nothing like the pictures, the hotel has horrible service, the place is very outdated. My credit card was charges 2 times in error now I have to wait 7-10 buisness days to receive the credit on to my card! It was such a bad place we ended up renting a room in another hotel!

Worst experience ever-very disappointing. First - there was no one to check us in, office was closed. Then someone who didn’t introduce him self nor states what relation to this place he has started trying to check us in with help over the phone .
After that he open one available room for us just to discover that room wasn’t ready. I asked if there any room that I could take a shower after 3 and a half hours driving and it was none. Their excuse was that they have not been notified about new guests arrival that left me speechless.
And this is at the busiest summer week- right before end of the season!
Bottom line- avoid this place. I wouldn’t stay there even free of charge.

Great location and great service. The cabin was a tad small and the air conditioning was spotty, but we would stay here again because of the location to the Lake George village and our kind hosts.

on the receip is write double bed and coach bed with kitchenette. first off all the toilette dont worked well and the day before they have problem with the line of water. the smell Inside the room was horrible, We ask for refund and they say no refound, finally they offer an other room with bed and coffe maker that it.And imagine take a shower but the door to close the shower stay in are hands.The second night in the room beside of us have an electric problem,we sleeping but the manager Knock at are door because the brakers box are in are room . Because we have no kitchenette and absolutely Nothing else we suppose the rate should be lower of what we pay.And the mattress base have a blck mark like mushroom we see it because they have no cover on.
