Awesome room for the price, but needs an upgrade in service - tried to get lunch one day as only one in the restaurant and it took 45 minutes to get a drink. Breakfast is ample with normal service. Rooftop, which has a slick design and amazing views, closes at 9:00 pm (sharp!), which doesn't make sense in such a vibrant city. TV did not work for 2 days and no one knew how to restart cable, etc. Very noisy corner all night long as you get later in the week. All in all, would stay again with service upgrades.

Definetly worth the price. Friendly and helpful staff members. Bed was super comfy.

Hello! The property was great. Good area - many places to eat and drink. The beach is minutes away. The staff at the front desk were nice. However, we tried eating at the hotel restaurant and no staff was available. They looked at us and did not offer a seat. I asked for assistance and the staff said wait a minute. We proceeded to wait 10 minutes another staff member looked and walked away. We left unhappy and unwelcome and had dinner some place else. Would I come back - no.

For the price I expected more. (Bigger room, better breakfast)

The staff were not aware of our reservation. There was no concierge service for our bags. The bathroom lacked enough towels and body wash

The rooftop pool with bar was amazing. Small space, but very cozy. The restaurant was also great. Staff was on point and responsive.

We stayed here twice and both stays were great. Rooms are comfortable and clean, huge beds, great area, excellent service 👌 We also stayed in a nearby seemingly similar hotel, but Ritz was much better. I'd definitely book here again next time!

Super personable customer service and the rooms are very comfortable. All the services like luggage storage and laundry available. Great location also, 2 minutes to the beach and everything you need within a couple of blocks.

UNPLEASANT front fest morning girl… rude and unprofessional. The Hotel is an apartment building turned into hotel. Pictures are deceiving , the pictures are from few years back … meaning nothing is up to date. This “hotel” should be at max 3 stars , price wise should be not more than $75 USD. Looking for real hotel in copacabana, must go with big brand such as Hilton and on. The Valet kid at the front very professional and helpful and also the guy with a tattoo at the front desk very professional.Hotel need major upgrades

We got misled by the name Ritz. This is a very old property and possibly never recovered from the neglect after covid. We had booked two nights but they were nice to let us check out after 1 day. The pricing is high and the pictures so misleading that we were excited that it’s a Ritz property. Possibly our mistake.

Fabulous location, beautifully new everything and staff attentive, friendly and accommodating (we don’t speak Portuguese)

This is an amazing hotel! Great value- beautiful design, nice rooftop pool area, good breakfast, excellent staff- most speak English. My only negative experience was with the bartender at the rooftop pool in the evening who was completely unfriendly and had a bad attitude every time I encountered him despite me being friendly. He stood out because everyone else on the staff was so kind and helpful.

Hotel is one block from the ocean with easy access to the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful our entire time.

Everything was absolutely perfect and met or exceeded our needs. The property is well laid out, the rooms well equipped and luxurious. The staff go above and beyond in terms of helping with everything from breakfast to the bar to the pool. The food on offer at breakfast was amazing and the room service were quick and easy.

Fantastic location near Copacabana beach, bars, restaurants, Ipanema beach, Lagoa. Very friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful view of Copacabana beach and Pao de Acucar. We had a great time! Highly recommend this Hotel.

It was fantastic! I loved the staff and they were full of suggestions and recommendations. If language was a factor, they google translated and so did I.

The staff is very friendly and room is ok but the bathroom door does not close and shower either so no privacy when you share the room which was weird as the second persin had to leave the room when the one person was using washroom...so maybe to fix it

Amazingly friendly stuff, going beyond to satisfy their customers, fulfilling extra needs at all times. The boutique style hotel holds its promise - it’s small but with everything you need in good quality. Big modern style but cosy rooms and rooftop bar with all you need at the poolside. Continental breakfast with a Brazilian twist - even Açai - combined with an amazing view - just all you need!

The staff was really friendly and communication was great! the food options were limited and there isn’t parking. Had a good view of the Beach from my window.

The front desk lady that checked me out was awesome. Greet customer service.. she needs a raise if she hasn’t been given one already. I forgot her name though.😞

Location and price is great. Does not really have a view like shown on pictures. Also, only one key card which make it impossible to leave the AC on and have a cool fresh room after a day at the beach. Room service had to be requested. Coffee prices were shown but not bottled water. At the end we paid 35 usd for 21 small bottles of water, which was ok just that should be clear that there is a charge just like the coffee. Otherwise very pleasant staff.

Room was super clean, great air conditioning and safe. Breakfast each morning was delicious, many options. Theres a daily detox juice that is a must try. The restaurant has huge windows that overlook the neighborhood and amazing views of the beach! As a single female traveling alone I felt extremely safe at this building and surrounding area. The hotel is very quiet and beautifully stylish. Hotel is on a quiet street - drugstore and supermarket and of course the beach are all a 5 min walk away. Which I felt completely comfortable doing so alone. I loved the beach so much I didn't get a chance to go up to the pool! I totally forgot!! But I will most certainly come back. The only thing I would say is that I was disappointed the hotel restaurant was closed before 8pm on a Saturday when I was told it was open until 10pm earlier that day. Thank you so much for having me!

The staff didn’t really speak much English. They had a rooftop party that was extremely loud. I wouldn’t recommend staying at this hotel.

The staff was extremely helpful throughout our trip. They assisted in making reservations and ability to get transportation to and from location more importantly assisted Karin this Covid with finding the correct drugstore to go to. The entire experience with Torres was wonderful

Great location across the road from the beach. Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms and common areas were clean. It was a great stay. Highly recommend!

It's hard to know where to start complaining about this stay. First, for a hotel of this value, not having a parking lot is deplorable. Having to leave the car on the street subject to Rio's scammers was one of the things that made the rio/ritz experience even worse. Second, when you get the best room available in the hotel and pay an extra fee for a balcony and the balcony chair is full of pigeon droppings and everything is dirty and wet, it's disappointing. Really disappointing.Third, the safe just didn’t work, as does the shower fan, and don't expect anyone to want to fix it, because they don't give a damn! I called several times and they never fixed anything and did not follow up or communicate about it. Fourth, THE BATHROOM! What kind of bathroom door doesn't close properly, causing you to feel like you don't even have privacy to do your own personal needs? Apart from the fact that the toilet is separate from the shower. For this price, the least you can hope for is some privacy in the bathroom.After traveling all over Brazil and paying different prices for hotels, this was my worst experience, and unfortunately the most expensive. This hotel should be rated at least $10 a night or less, and I would still think twice about staying.The pool is nice, but that's it. There are cheaper hotels for you to enjoy a pool.In short, I would never go back to Rio, and even if I did, I would definitely not stay at the Ritz. Disappointing!!!
