The food service was superb. I enjoyed the view and atmosphere during onsen. It was a great relaxing experience.

It’s not my first time visiting Hakone, but this hotel is absolutely the best.

The location is quite difficult to arrive. Be sure to take taxi at yumoto station which cost 800 yen in 10mins max. Food is incredible but plate and accessories are just so so. Room onsen is absolutely stunning but the outdoor shower area need some guts to use in winter.
Overall speaking, you must try this if u want good kaiseki and outdoor onsen.

Really loved this Ryoken. Location was great, easy to reach from the station, although it is up hill so would recommend a taxi if carrying luggage. The room was elegant, clean with an amazing private Onsen on the balcony with an amazing view out to the mountains. Completely private with no one able to see onto it. Our hostess was amazing, polite and helpful, even making sure we caught the right bus! Would highly recommend this place if wanting a few quiet nights away from the city

This place was amazing from the moment we arrived. Taking your shoes off upon arrival is a must (as it is in most Japanese Places). Our bags were carried up to our room and we were served green tea. We were told about the amenities and even walked down to the onsens available. We had a room with our own hot spring tub on the balcony which I recommend that you book. The views of the lush green trees and mountains made for a picturesque and relaxing backdrop. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. We ate about four different Kaiseki meals while we were in Japan and we ate everything that was offered on this menu. Definitely come hungry! The service that is provided is top notch.Yes this Ryokan is pricey, but for the experience we had I would come again and again! We sadly only stayed one night, but this place is one of the best memories on our three week trip to Japan. We will definitely return!

The location of the Onsen was really quiet and relaxing. The room was extremely spacious and the private bath was just amazing! The staff there, from front desk to the Japanese lady who served us our food was polite and friendly. They helped us from carrying our luggage to our room, to letting us know which bus to take to the train station and the next bus time. I have never experienced such excellent service from a hotel before.
We found the food to be less traditional than other onsen that we have researched, but nevertheless, it was still delicious!
I would definitely recommend this onsen to anyone, and if we ever go back to Hakone, we would stay with them again!

Great dinner and breakfast with about 9 dishes each. The best part was the private onsen. We got lucky to get the top floor and the view of the mountain was spectacular. Service was great and they were very nice even though we arrived late. Speaking of arrival time, we booked through hotels.com and it said to arrive by 7pm to be served dinner. We got there around 6:45 and they said you should really be there by 6 and dinner is served at 7pm. Luckily we still got the dinner. Hope this info helps others.

Wonderful service and accommodations. 9 private rooms in this 3 story building. Stayed in the Moegi room on the third floor and it had a dining area on tatami mats and a double bed area and a private wooden onsen on the back deck with outdoor shower. The room faces the tree lined mountains and has a peek-a-boo cutout to the side on the deck since it's a corner spot.
It feels a little older. There's not a lot of space for luggage and unpacking or to spread out. The carpet is a little musky feeling but the air conditioning helps moderate the room. There were some mosquitos but they also have a little machine to help keep the bugs away.
Great personalized service and attention. Makes you feel so welcome and at home. Yuuriko-san was so attentive and friendly throughout our stay.
Dinner and breakfast are served in your room! You can eat at 6 or 6:15pm for dinner and 8:45 or 9am for breakfast.
About a 10 min ride on the B Course Ryokan shuttle bus (100 yen per person each way) from Hakone Yumoto station. Bus departs across of the train station on the 15 and 45 past the hour. Tell the driver you are going to Seikansou.
There is no contact info for the hotel other than direct international phone number but they do speak some English and accommodated my requests perfectly (including dietary requests for the half board - kaiseki dinner and breakfast).
There isn't much to do at the hotel itself but you come here to relax!

A great onsen hotel to stay in. Both breakfast and dinner included in the price. The shower is outdoor and surrounded by trees. Very close to nature. We also had a private onsen pool outdoor. Great service.
Note that if you check in late, you'd better off inform the hotel in advance so that they can prepare dinner for you. Otherwise you might miss your dinner.
