This was our 2nd stay at Renaissance (formerly Vinpearl Resort). We had an awesome time, with 20 people spread across 3 villas.
Villas are luxurious and massive. Private pool is clean. Public pool is a great place to hang out but can get very hot due to no shade. A few cold beers at the pool bar will sort that out!
Breakfast buffet is a bit expensive if it wasn’t included in your room rate - but worth it if you are hungry. Great selection of food.
We also indulged in the private BBQ buffet on the front lawn in front of our villa. Really nice experience and food.
Getting to and from Hoi An is easy with a approx 15 min taxi ride, or the free shuttle bus that goes every hour or so.
The only improvements that I would appreciate at this place are some form of marine carpet around the main pool (the red tiles are super hot to walk on). And some general maintenance on the decking of the villa pools (some deck pieces coming detached).
Overall if you want a 5 star resort closer to Hoi A rather than Danang, I would highly recommend this place.

The best value hotel I have ever stayed at, we got the suite the room to value is phenomenal, we ended up staying another night, the staff are so attentive and the place is prestine definitely book here if you are looking

- I had the most amazing resort experience at a reasonable price.
- It's incredible that the hotel is directly connected to the beach. Generally, there's often a road separating the hotel from the beach, but at the Renaissance, you can fully enjoy the private space all the way to the sea.
- The breakfast buffet is wonderful. Especially the Vietnamese pho, which is freshly prepared in a bowl right in front of you, is simply delicious. The buffet is of an exceptionally high grade in both quality and variety. Each dish is incredibly tasty, and there are so many types that it's impossible to try them all even if you take a little of everything.
- The ocean-view rooms are incredibly relaxing, as you can hear the sound of the waves and watch the sunrise over the sea from the balcony.
- Perhaps because it's not listed in Japanese travel guides, we didn't see any other Japanese guests besides ourselves. However, it's a hotel that I would highly recommend to Japanese travelers.

This is a fantastic property, especially from the villas. Well spaced, great views, good rooms and facilities. Outstanding. Easy access (25 mins) to Hoi An, but peaceful on its own. Great gym and spa; food was high quality with an outstanding breakfast

Tâm, Trâm, Hoa, Mr. Tuấn,.. front desk, Mr. Vũ, Tuấn, Truờng, Tịnh of Bellboy department, Chef Nguyện, Mr. Sang, Ms. Huệ, Lanh, Hồng of kitchen and Dining room to Mr. Thái, Rin of Lobby bar, kudos to their friendly working attitude, professional manners and knowledgeable skills. Definitely we'll come back to this Hoian Renaissance many more.

We had a wonderful stay at VinPearl Resort and Spa. The reception staff, room sea view and appointment were superb as was the swim in the ocean and pool! The wait/bar staff are friendly and amazing and try very hard to understand your requests. We had a beautiful
Massage which was very good and relaxing. Breakfast is varied and fresh - can be busy and noisy on weekends but manageable. We had room service and cocktails at bar which was great! We used Grab a bit to eat out although taxis are available- concierge very obliging!

This is one of the most amazing hotels we have ever stayed at. We were upgraded to a suite and the views were spectacular. Full gym and huge pool. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommmend!

For 2 days in a row we had to ask for clean towels. They took the dirty ones but not replacing them. When we asked what was the reason, they said that because there are too many customers they didn't have time to clean and replace them. Unacceptable for a 5 stars rating hotel. Food quality and choice are at a 4 stars hotel at best!

The staff are friendly, unfortunately we had no rest as we were put next to very noisy "neighbors". We have a 3y old child and needed a break away. We had to phone reception at midnight to deal with the situation, but it only got sorted out later. The manager apologized, but it didn't fix the problem of us wasting money and time there. Sad but true...

We spent 5 days at the Vinpearl hotel on honeymoon. We can’t rate this hotel high enough. Service was fantastic. Great facilities, fantastic pool area and great shuttle service into nearby Hoi An. Highly recommend the Vinpearl.

We booked the villa which is beautiful but the foods at the restaurant for room service was bad, all services were not good, cleaning crew did not clean well, bathrooms was not clean, breakfast was self serve, no one take us to the table, no one removed the dirty plates. Check out was long, they charged us 1 bottle of water Evian for 120,000 dong which we did not use. No good restaurants around, far of everything.

However, the cleanliness could be improved - we found a live cockroach in the bedroom upstairs on the 2nd day and another dead one in the living room on the 3rd day. The fixtures in the rooms should be properly maintained as well - we've got a leaking ceiling in both the rooms on level 1 on separate occasions, and spoilt plugs and etc. The wall separating our villa and the next one was too low so we often hear partying noises from our neighbours at night after 10pm as they were partying in the pool.
Nevertheless the staffs working at Vinpearl were very friendly and helpful, they definitely made the stay more enjoyable.

Although we were a little annoyed about extra charges for using tennis rackets and expensive prices for food n what not, the staff were extremely helpful and very accommodating. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the breakfast buffets was the best we had in Vietnam. We made the mistake of not realizing the beach wasn’t accessible and that would be the only reason we wouldn’t come back. Other than that our stay was very nice. It’s a beautiful resort with a grand lobby, with very well manicured grounds. There’s a clinic here too which was convenient
