Beautiful old Riyadh on the edge of the Medina. Easy access to most sites. Very helpful proactive staff that go out of their way to help you. Would definitely recommend it to others visiting Fes.

Wonderful quiet riad with the most genuine attentive hosts. This place is spotlessly clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, shower is great, and just a beautiful interior overall. The host family makes the MOST delicious dinners - definitely stay in and eat here! They also arranged for our private driver for a day tour to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss and Meknes - a very good day despite the somewhat dreary weather! Absolutely beautiful place and family. Highly recommend!

The riad is so nice and the staff goes above and beyond for helping and making this a nice stay. Breakfast was abundant and good. Getting there is easy and very close to the blue gate

Excellent property (an exceptionally well-done modernized 18th Cent. dar) in a good location and with top-notch, as-friendly-as-it-gets service. Can drive to within a very short and easy walking distance and then park only a little farther away. Good breakfast, too - even includes eggs! Would stay there again.

Absolutely gorgeous place! The host was extremely gracious and answered any questions I had. They provided tips for touring the Medina and help arrange a shuttle for my departure.

Namir and his wife are warm and excellent hosts in this beautiful dar. All of the staff are friendly, kind and helpful. The food (breakfast and dinner) are excellent. Let Namir (who is passionate about visitors having a great experience) arrange a certified guide for you to visit the medina in Fez. The guide he arranged for our tour was an extremely knowledgeable native of Fez who shared the history, the culture, and the artisanal traditions of Fez. We witnessed other guides steering their groups mostly to shops where they seemed to know the owners. The dar is immaculate and there are beautiful, hand crafted tiles throughout. The wifi is excellent.

The owner took good care of us. We were extremely happy with this Riad, as it was close to everywhere within the Medina. Some nice restaurants in the area as well, a walking distance, actually. Breakfast was the best part we looked forward to every morning. The area was so quiet that we had the best sleep in years. Thank you Dar D’or!

Owner was awesome, took me in his own personal car to an authentic Moroccan restaurant since I did not know my way around. Room was clean and so quiet. The free breakfast setting and service was a royalty treatment. Will definitely stay in this hotel my next trip to Fes.

An absolutely fantastic place to stay! I travel constantly for work, and have rarely encountered a more warm and helpful staff than those at Dar D'Or. The details here are thoughtful, the rooms incredibly comfortable, and Namir and his family are warm and helpful. Beyond coordinating transportation and guides, when my husband didn't feel well Namir immediately accompanied us to a pharmacy and explained our situation in Arabic so we could get medication. The place is also easy to find, quiet, and a quick walk from the chaos of the medina. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Our stay at Dar D’or Fes was absolutely incredible. Communication prior to check-in was great – the owner Namir is very responsive to calls and messages. Upon arriving, we were blown away by the service provided to us. Dar D’or Fes is a family run business that goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Namir was always open to answer our questions about Fes and was very detailed when explaining what to look out for when hiring tour guides, fair prices for taxis, etc. He even arranged same day laundry service for us! Without a doubt, the highlight of our stay was the dinner, which was made upon request, a home-cooked meal prepared by Namir’s wife. This meal was by far the best food we had in Morocco, and among the best meals I’ve ever had. Do not miss out on the opportunity to eat dinner here at least once. If you are looking for a hotel/riad to stay in Fes, look no further!

We stated for 4 nights in a beautiful, quiet, well appointed and ever so tastefully decorated room. The bed was superb and shower the best in our travels in Morocco so far. The riad is very well located just inside the medina. We found the story of the 3 year renovation fascinating. The guesthouse even has top quality solar panels from Australia! Nahim and his family were wonderful hosts. They couldn't have been more attentive and helpful and made us feel special. His wife prepared an excellent generous breakfast. His daughter worked really hard looking after all the guests too. We’d highly recommend Dar D’Or for eitger a short or long stay in Fes.

Dar D'or Fes has everything you might want from a hotel. It is in excellent location, walking distance to everything, it's squeaky clean, air conditioning blows winter cold air (if you need it), room is comfortably big, bathroom as well. And on top of it all, the couple who owns this place are the sweetest people you can meet. And they serve breakfast and cook dinner on order that far exceeds you expectation. They are 12 out of 10. Dar D'or Fes is surely the pride of hotel business in Morocco.

We had such a fantastic experience at this riad and would recommend it to anyone visiting Fez. Great hospitality, delicious food prepared by our hosts and valuable advice for tours. There’s really no need to book tours online without knowing who they are, just ask Namir and he’ll hook you up with the best.

Almost impossible to have a better experience. Be ready to be treated like family and royalty at the same time. Don’t miss the opportunity to have dinner at the dar. Namir, his wife and the staff are the absolute most wonderful hosts.

Great historic hotel with American style service, I highly recommend

Dar D'or is the perfect place to stay in Fes! The location is excellent, not in the Medina where you get lost, but right next to it with clear signs that lead you to the door, and very close to the Blue Gate. The room was exactly as pictured, breakfast was excellent, the rooftop perfect for sunset. The thing that sets it apart are the hosts who will make you feel so welcomed, and help with anything you need- they made me tea for sunset on the roof, printed our boarding tickets for our flight, and ordered us a taxi to the airport, just truly above and beyond expectations. Please don't miss this wonderful gem when in Fes!

Excellent service! We arrived late and found a young man waiting for us and also with dinner, even though it was after the time for dinner. We wanted a guide to take us on tour and within one hour he was there. We would certainly recommend this charming Dar.

매우 친절하고 깔끔한 숙소였습니다. 골목에 숨어있어 찾기는 어렵지만 블루게이트에서 도보로 6분 정도로 매우 가까운 위치이며 기차역, 버스역까지도 차로 10분 내외입니다. 호스트가 매우 친절하며 가는날까지 기차역에 데려다주는 등 너무 젠틀했습니다. 2박 푹 쉬다가 갑니다! :-) Best Riad ever! Host was so kind and generous and room condition was perfect. Thank you for the best memory in Fes :-)

This place is amazing! Great location, very close to medina. Its better to stay outside the medina as taxis can take you straight to your hotel. Host was so nice! Felt like family there. Very good breakfast. Host helped us arrange car for forward traveling as well. This is my go to hotel in Fes. Rooms are very clean as well and the decor of the place is breadth taking. You wont regret your stay here.

My wife and I totally enjoyed our recent four-day stay with Dar D'or. The place is clean and very beautiful--from the ground floor to the terrace overlooking the city. The open space area on the first floor is an incredible work of art--one could remain there all day enthralled in the surrounding beauty without venturing outside! Our bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were very hospitable and helpful, from our early arrival (at which they--though not required--provided breakfast and a comfortable place to hang out until our room was ready) until the very end. The wonderful owner/manager, Namir, arranged for our airport pick-up and return, an outstanding guided tour through the nearby souk, and Moroccan cooking lessons, all for a very reasonable prices. Our stay with Dar D'or made our visit to Fez a truly wonderful, unforgettable experience. We would not want to stay anywhere else if we were to return!
