Amazing hotel with everything that you need for your stay. The breakfast buffet was incredible with everything you could think of available. Complimentary beach towels available. Entertainment every night. Very friendly staff.

Lava Beach is a brand new hotel located in a very nice area of the island. You can easily access the beach and promenade from the hotel. You can find many restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is very clean with amazing sea views.

One of the best hotels in the area, short walk through the lovely gardens to the sea front and promenade. Clean and comfortable hotel, excellent bed, sunbed on balcony. Usual poolside sunbed chasing, just the same in the bigger hotel, Los Jameos, which is next door. Food was good quality with reasonable choices for breakfast, evening was standard buffet offerings. Food next door is better with far more choices, but considerably more expensive hotel, with smaller balconies! We’ve stayed in both, difficult to call.

Lovely hotel, great area, easy walking to town, shops and restaurants.

Stunning gardens, excellent location for a quiet relaxing adult holiday. Great evening entertainment, customer service from all staff was excellent. Hammam, sauna, jacuzzi was a real bonus. Must go for a room with a sea view, room and hotel facilities superb. Room very well equipped and proportioned.

A really special place with gorgeous well kept buildings, spotlessly clean, and fantastic pool and spa facilities.

Fantastic accommodation. Pool area lovely. Beds and pillows really comfortable. Overall a beautiful hotel with an abundance of quality throughout.

The property itself was excellent. Beautiful and well maintained. Food in the buffet restaurant was good without being better than good. The food in the fine dining restaurant was not worth the premium. staff were ok without being great

Really nice hotel, good location. A few things that could have been better: 1) half board didn’t include water and you will be charged extra for it; 2) there were very limited vegan options for dinner. There were some vegetarian options but a lot of these had cheese. 3) Also, the fact that they give you 6 coffee pods (2 decaf) and don’t replace them in spite of staying 4 nights seemed petty. At least have instant coffee with a kettle if you’re not going to replace them. 4) The gym could have some towels. Overall nice stay, but these little details quite made it feel a bit less accommodating.

1 weeks break with family. 2 rooms facing the beach. Rooms were so comfortable. Sound of the waves every morning was lovely. Breakfast was fantastic with pretty much everything you could ask for. Chef there to cook what you want. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. All in all a fab place.

The staff, especially Mark at the front desk, were exceptional. The exception might be Housekeeping who are task oriented -- not customer oriented -- which is often the case these days anywhere. The staff who normally interact with customers were exceptional here. The landscaping is impressive. The convenience of the location to the ocean and the 'boardwalk' is ideal. Location is much nicer than the gaudy areas down by Playa Del Carmen. The Spa Access room was exceptional and a great place to sip a wine on the patio or read a book while listening to the ocean in the background.

Beautiful hotel in a nice location right on the beach. Very clean and stuff were so nice.

All I can say was this place is amazing. From the staff, to the work the hotel workers and maintenance workers put in to have it looking too class, all doing an excellent job. Our premium room facing the beach was fantastic. Hearing the waves crashing off the shore day and night gave such a lovely soundtrack to our stay. Totally relaxing. Can’t wait to return.

Thoroughly recommend this quiet, not too big, hotel. Our 'garden view' room looked over very well kept, attractive gardens. Extremely friendly, efficient staff. Rooms were comfortable and kept very clean. Good choice in the restaurant. Large heated pool. Good choice of well taught exercise classes. We're re- booking for later this year!

Very clean comfortable hotel located right on the beach. Service was impeccable. Breakfast buffet was pretty good. Aroma restaurant was a little dull and the food wasn’t so great. Location is really nice- right next to many restaurants and shops on the promenade. Our room was sea facing, very spacious, nice shower in bathroom.

Amazing hotel stay, staff so friendly nothing to much trouble. Heated pool a bonus although a little chilly at first. Entertainment in evening in piano bar all outside acts some better than others. Bars and restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk good choice of Chinese, Indian and Irish and traditional

Staff are simply amazing! we had some health issues and Stella and Sillja marshalled a support team second to none.. Meanwhile almost very staff member from bel hop to director smiled and said hello.

The hotel is lovely, clean, fairly new, service is good, free yoga classes a bonus, decent gym, mini golf a bonus, beach access is easy, free parking. The breakfast is a bit average especially for a 5* hotel. The location is a bit far from the area with the resturants/bars, not really walkable but there are cabs. At almost EUR 200/night (October) it wasn’t exactly cheap.

Positives: - This is a beautiful hotel to stay in and very relaxing - The breakfast choice was amazing - The staff were lovely - The rooms were clean - The gym had great facilities Negatives that could be easily remedied if they put their minds to it: - There should a smoking area. It's frustrating when you're on a lounger and people are smoking next to you. They don't put ash trays out but people still do it, even if there are kids close by. It's disgusting. No smoking signs should be placed around the pool area and a designated smoking area in place. Staff should be trained to enforce this and not turn a blind eye. - Music that the hotel plays is quite depressing and it's even played in the gym. - The internet speed is just rubbish. I can imagine that alone will put some people off booking so just sort it out and spend the money
