This is a somewhat gaudy, gold-everywhere humongous resort that I chose only because it had a Vietnamese name and I figured I would like to support a VN owned hotel. When I arrived from the airport my room was not ready so I went to their restaurant and ordered fresh spring rolls (made with rice paper) served with dipping sauce. When I bit into the roll I tasted something not right, which I felt was the lettuce and/or the shrimp. I should've stopped right there but I continued to eat it, thinking that maybe the taste was normal. It wasn't- the food was bad, and in a couple of hrs I got terrible GI symptoms. I was then given a room and it was clean, nice, but the bed was as hard as the floor. Having cramps and stomach upset, I had to stay in that day and night but couldn't sleep because of the rock-hard bed & GI distress. In the middle of the night I had to approach the front desk and ask for some remedy. They showed me another room- same rock-hard bed. The next morning they agreed to refund my remaining 3 days and I went off to get another place to stay- which was Seashells Resort- 100% better. So, even though I was sick and disgruntled about the bed, Thien Thanh did come through with a refund- so thanks for that. Also- on the positive- their pool is spectacular! If you're considering staying here I'd advise be careful with their food and expect a rock-hard bed. There are a lot of places very close to this resort you can walk to for food and a pharmacy next door-handy for me.

Hotel was a perfect choice for our family vacation to Phu Quoc. It was conveniently located with many restaurants nearby and accessible to the beach. Breakfast buffet was delicious and it had a good variety. Staff were polite and helpful. Airport transfer was prompt. It was convenient when traveling internationally not to worry about getting a grab/taxi.

Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good walkable location and set right on the beach. Loads of bars and restaurants around. Good street food at night market a short walk away. Also really appreciated colllection and drop off at airport

I cannot say enough amazing things about this property. We pulled up to the resort in our complimentary airport transfer and were in awe at the beauty of this resort. The staff was outstanding and accommodating to everything There are very inexpensive golf cart style rides to the night market. The pool and beach are breathtaking. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We were able to have our laundry done in town within a few hours. The hotel helped us rent motorbikes for 2 days of fun around the island. Without a doubt, the best accommodation through our entire 22 days in Vietnam!

It was a perfect getaway weekend break. The hotel is clean and a private beach with awesome sunset view to relax in. The staff is friendly. The management gave us a very special super good service. Picked us up from the airport very punctually. Upgraded us from Deluxe to Suite room. Gave us a surprise complimentary birthday cake too. Very thoughtful of them

Thien Thanh resort is extremely well located, close to restaurants and amenities, and very close to the night market and other attractions. The resort itself has a good range of facilities, family friendly and on the beach. Our room was comfortable and cleaned properly every day. The front desk team were a little less friendly than they might have been, but other than this, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

The bed was ridiculously hard. It was so bad I considered trying to find another resort. In my travels I have noticed that south East Asians prefer a hard bed. So take it with a grain of salt when reading the beds are comfortable!

Great location! Nice room service. However, I was very disappointed of reception service. I asked a question via Hotels.com. They blew me off. In contrast to previous message, they gave a prompt reply about check-in survey. It made me feel obnoxious. During 4 days of stay, no one ushered me in the breakfast restaurant except Westerner staff. Also, staff whose name is Dien is very friendly but let me down after all.. Poor housekeeping. Ants around the hotel room. Thien Thanh resort us located on a great spot. Close to restaurants, farmacys, shops, supermarkets and massage places. It’s only 3-5 minutes by taxi to the night market. Nearby you can find good restaurants in spicy India and a Pakistani joint whom I forgot the name on. The embassy is a good café. They’re all door to door. Thien Thanh serves good variation on their buffet breakfast, and the open times is from 6-11 am. The po ara is ok, if you have kids, they have a poolside for the kids. It’s close to the beach and down there they have cheap massage. Worth the money. The bad thing about the hotel is that they are not good on doing western food like burgers and steaks. I ordered I steak one day it took 1,5 hrs to come and it was nasty. I said Medium well, it cabe out all bloody and stinky. The burger bun was old, and they put a freaking egg in it. Just stick to order Vietnamese food oh and the prices at the hotel is quite juicy. Other than that, the deluxe room had small beds. The king size bed was to small for my wife and I, and we’re quite skinny. Other than that, the staff was great, friendly and very helpful. Always smiling. The offer free transfer to the airport.

The mainbuilding and the garden looks fantastic, really like a 5 star Hotel, but the rest is only 3 star: The bathroom is small, the shower is in the bathtub and the plastic curtain is stinky. There is no shower at the pool and the water is covered with a film of sunmilk. The poolbar serves only beer in cans, not really cold. But we had a good experience with the staff at the frontdesk, the lady was very helpful to solf a propblem succsessfully. The breakfast is very good but it’s open only until 9pm :-(

We absolutely loved this beautiful hotel - not because of the gorgeous rooms/balcony view/pool/beach/lobby/food (although they helped) but because of the lovely, attentive and friendly staff who made us feel so welcome and couldn't do enough for us the whole time we were there. Fantastic hotel!

We had a pleasent stay. The rooms are modern and comfortable and very clean. The breakfast is ok, but nothing extraordinary. Most of the staff are very friendly and service minded. There is a basic gym, but I would recommend to move the pool table from the gym area, since there are a lot of kids running around where people are working out. The pool area could be improved with more sun beds and more greenery and flowers around the pool and bar, since it is quite “sterilized”. To improve the overall experience there could be some service extended to the beach to easily be able to order drinks, coffee and food.

Overall, it’s a nice hotel, great location and easy to get around. The hotel staff speak limited English, so communication is an issue sometimes. The breakfast spread is very good, with a variety of options - from Asian to Western food to choose from. The room is clean, they provide good quality towels and bedsheets. We enjoyed our stay there.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, everything is brand new with top quality beds, bedding pillows and towering, bathroom is large and luxurious. The breakfast was vast and covered just about everything, the only gripe would be that it finishes at 9am. 3 lifts for speedy acces to the upper floors and the entrance and reception is very palatial. Strange things with this hotel are there are 181 rooms, yet only approximately 60 Sun loungers on the beach which were all "reserved" by Russian guests by 7am with their towels, around the swimming pool there are no sun loungers only some tables and chairs under sunbrellas hence the pool hardly gets used. I asked at reception about the lack of sun beds and got some lame excuse. This hotel is one of the best I've been in, but unfortunately I'd never return as this was the last hotel on our Vietnam tour and was Meant to be a relaxing time on the beach.

The gym is a nice facility, the pool very nice, and drinks poolside. Walk down the stairs of the resort and your basking in the sun on the beautiful beach, beach massage and more. The front desk staff was outstanding and anything I wanted they always had the answer, the accommodations and any tickets for various tours or activities. I will always return to this resort as it is the perfect resort for relaxation, romance et cetera.
