Good hotel and good staff

All of the staff were incredibly nice and accommodating. They even called to make sure I wouldn’t miss breakfast as I had already payed for it. The pool was beautiful and the rooms were clean and comfy!

This hotel was relatively nice for the price. However, there was basically no free Wi-Fi service as advertised. It only worked in the lobby area. There was zero Wi-Fi connectivity in the rooms. And even the Wi-Fi that was available, the lobby was severely slow, especially if you’re used to Fast Internet speeds. Also, the booking showed a check in time of 12 o’clock. But when we arrive at 12 o’clock, the staff tried to tell us that the room would not be available until 2 o’clock. After some explanation into false advertising, the rooms were somehow Made more rapidly available. I would recommend the hotel, as I said, there is really no Wi-Fi to speak of. Enjoy though if you go and stay there.

Outstanding property, customer service and breakfast buffet. It is about a 20-minute walk into town. The only minor inconvenience was many tuk tuk is unable to cross the bridge so you just have to walk across to catch a cab or tour bus.

Gave a generous 4 * - we had a bungalow which was delightful. Dark wood & tiled floor. Separate toilet - dressing area with safe deposit box. Good air conditioning which would have benefited from being remotely controlled - good shower & bathroom- very comfortable bed and reasonably good quality bed linen & towels. Towels could have been better /newer. Fridge in room - complimentary water daily though only 2 bottles. coffee cafetière which was a nice touch.
Very good large infinity pool ,with plenty of sun loungers and a pool bar. Very nice gardens and very well maintained. Fantastic position on banks of river. Overall a very nice property.
The negatives for me in room was the TV. Small tv built into wall - not smart tv and no cable. Only 1 English speaking channel which was BBC news. I don’t come away to watch tv but it is nice to have Netflix or at least a film channel to watch if you decide to have an early night. No USB points anywhere.
The breakfast offering was extremely poor for the cost of the hotel. Very limited amount of choice. No bacon , just warm slices of ham ??? Often items were gone but not replaced. No brown or whole meal bread only horrid white bread. The breakfast simply did not match up with the otherwise high standards of the hotel.
I have been critical as I feel I was paying top prices and the property lacked in some areas.
Aside from the few negatives it was a very pleasant stay.

The property is really well designed and has rooms interspersed around greenery and a nice swimming pool. It is easy to walk to the main town of Luang Prabang; if you rather not walk, one can get a "tuk-tuk" that can accommodate up to six people at a time. The spa at the property is small but adequate. The breakfast was realy good.
Two issues re the property: (1) most of the staff does not speak good English and so communication was at times difficult; (2) the main dining room gets closed very early, perhaps to economize on insufficient customers when we were there (February 2024).

The cocktails were also awesome as was the food.
Only 15 minute walk to the night markets and center of town.
Rooms were nice and had a comfortable bed.

The hotel was still very quiet and obviously tourism still building back post-Covid. Staff were all fantastic, especially Bath who served us very well from the pool bar, and at breakfast! Pleasant walk into town and to Dyen Sabai restaurant which was wonderful, in spite of the bamboo bridges having gone and replaced by ferries while they work on the river banks for 2 years. The hotel restaurant had a limited selection, presumably due to low occupancy, but lots of local choice makes up for it. A completely idyllic 3 day stay and thoroughly recommended.

A lovely riverside getaway in LP. While the view of the river is generally limited, it’s an oasis in this lovely town. The staff were very helpful and the occasional hiccup due to language misunderstandings were always handled with good humour and grace. We stayed for five nights and were greeted back like old friends for a sixth night when our flight was cancelled.
The walk into town is about 20 minutes. On the one hand, this means you are out of the tourist fray. The walk across the Old Bridge can be slightly off putting if you are afraid of heights. I get vertigo at times, but felt comfortable crossing after a few times.

What a wonderful hotel! Beuatiful colonial style architecture, spacious rooms and a very green territory overlooking the river. The property is very quiet. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
8.0
Lovely hotel in beautiful, mature gardens on the rivers edge. Spacious, tastefully designed rooms in old colonial style but with all modern features. Great views throughout and warm, welcoming staff. Fantastic pool area.
The only negative was that the main hotel restaurant was closed the entire time of our stay and we were told it was because of mosquitos. We suspect that it was more related to low hotel capacity as the hotel had few guests. This was quite disappointing as the photos of the restaurant had been a key pull for us choosing this property. As such, we had to walk into town each night for dinner, when on one or two occasions, we would have liked to relax at the hotel. The walk into town is also about 20 mins and either across a bamboo bridge or wooden slatted bridge - fine for us but not for the fainthearted or elderly/those with young kids.
Despite the above, we would definitely stay here again - a lovely experience. Thanks to all the wonderful staff.

Le Bel Air Resort is beautiful. I really love the grounds outside, and also the old french feel. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. One thing that made it difficult was the front street parking. We made the mistake of parking in front of the resort, and when we backed out, we were met with 40 motorcyclists. There is separate parking, but we were not aware of it until after check-in. Despite being a tad outdated in the interior, the rooms were spacious and the hot water, and AC were working great. I would return to this resort, and recommend it!

Excellent hotel and very clean. The only issue I have is that it’s a bit far from night market area. Lots of walking.

Stayed for four nights. The property is nice, however some cracks are starting to show. The room was nice, the bed and sheets were very nice. The toilet became blocked on the last day and there were dirty marks around the toilet that weren’t fixed after I raised it on my first day. I swam in the pool once, it didn’t seem clean enough. Breakfast was ok. There are other newer properties in a similar location for half the price.

Well maintained property in a beautiful setting with appealing architecture. Combine this with a friendly, welcoming, helpful staff and you get 5 stars from me. Short walk to city center or take the complimentary shuttle. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled to with this stay due to the A facilities, staff and very reasonable price.

Laos (and Luang Prabang in particular) is magical- but Le Bel Air really made it even more special. The warmth of the customer service is so lovely and welcoming (thank you Tui!!!)and the location is perfect. I loved that it was walking distance over the beautiful bamboo bridge or the Old French Bridge into town. It was so nice to be right on the river and so quiet and peaceful at night. Started in a very nice room, but moved into a bungalow for an even more romantic stay. It was amazing. All the amenities- mini fridge, blackout shades, very large bathroom with great water pressure, super comfortable bed and mosquito net if desired (but not needed), cute balcony overlooking pool and river. Really loved Le Bel Air- cried when I left. I meant to stay 2 nights and made it 7- but wish I stayed longer. Do not hesitate to book here. I can't wait to return.

Brand new property with great staff! The rooms are large and air-conditioned well. The balcony was a great addition and allowed a nice view of the pool while the sun set. The pool was very large and staff ensured you have everything you need whilst lounging about. Breakfast was easily the best I have had with accommodation, ever! Conveniently located next to the bridge which you can walk over to get in to town. Loved our stay!

Quiet spot, close to downtown over the bridge, very nice staff. AC wasn’t all that great in the room but they left a spare key so it could run continuously to try to keep up after I mentioned it. Pool was bath water hot ... but that may have been from the 40 temps outside. Lovely grounds and quiet area at night.

What a beautiful property! Great if you want to away from the center of town, yet walkable for most.

The location looks so much better in real than on the pictures.
The staff is genuinely nice, sweet and super helpful.
They are well trained and very professional.
The resort is just new and you see that the staff is also excited about the resort.
There is a free bike if you want to ride around the town.
The restaurant is very nice.
Breakfast is the morning is amazing!
Location is beautiful.
Did I already say how amazing the staff was? :-)
Thank you guys for having us!

We stayed 2 nights and booked 2 rooms as a family of 4. They put us in 2 adjacent rooms with shared balconies. It was perfect for our needs and age of kids (12 and 14 years old). The room had everything yu could possibly want and need and the layout was well-planned. The decor and architectural details are classic and beautiful giving a brand new property a bit of old world charm. We were nervous booking since it was so new but the professionalism of all of the staff was impeccable from wonderful cocktails, poolside attendants, spa treatments (we tried the Lao massage), to the presentation of meals. They even arranged a private van to take us to Vang Vieng at the end of our stay. We regretted not staying longer to try their tours which all looked great and I feel based on other efforts to be contienscious of local culture and environment that their tours are probably non-exploitative or intrusive of local culture. The property did well to use natural local products, cloth linens in the restaurant and lobby bathrooms. I am told the owner is Lao which I liked that this is local. It was too cold during our stay to swim (cold rainy weather) but its beautiful to just sit by the pool and have hot tea, cocktails and snacks. The meal presentation is beautiful!!! And we thought reasonably priced for a resort. I had a signature cocktail with Iron ball gin, and passionfruit that rivaled that of a cocktail I had at the Ritz in Paris. Breakfast is both buffet and made to order.
