Beautiful antique decorated charming hotel. Lady bakes brownies every evening for guests smell like home. Room is small but enough for a single person but very convenient location and beautiful neighborhood. Also had snow and It was magical.

Perfectly situated in an older area of Bergen surrounded by beautiful architecture, a park and an incredible view of the city. Easy walk to the wharf, shopping, dining. Everything. Incredible breakfasts in the quaintest of dining areas. Very friendly and helpful staff. Like most other hotels in Bergen, no air conditioning, but that didn’t prove an issue. Hotel is old and has its worn areas but that’s part of its charm. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Designer look but friendly and feels like a comfortable home. Interesting antiques throughout. It felt like a place I could live. I’ve stayed in all types of accomodation in my life from Ritz to hostel, and this is close to the best.

Lovely small hotel a short distance away from Bergen’s busy waterfront. It was an easy walk into town and to the train station and charming restaurants. I would highly recommend it.

An excellent property. Room was first class, staff were brilliant and breakfast was delicious. The only thing that let it down was the smell of smoke as you walked in the lobby.

Historical wipes and nice staff. If you are looking for something else than mass produced hotel services check this out.

Front desk is very helpful. We left our luggage after check for several hours before catching our next stop. They are very accommodating.

Everything was excellent during our stay at the Hotel Park, so conveniently located - the room, the breakfast and the staff.

Very clean and really friendly service. Everything is crowned by the coffee and dessert offered by the hotel every day. I really recommend it.

I sought this hotel due to it's high rating on Hotels.com, however I found it very disappointing for the following:
I was not in the main hotel, but over the road which felt dated and the hallway was dingy and not pleasant at all.
Breakfast was meagre, with limited choice and only Scrambled eggs being the only cooked option.
Bed had no Bedhead, which I find annoying as the pillows fell down the back of the bed.
Bedding was low quality and the bed sheet kept coming untooked.
Towels were low quality, thin and small.
I was on the Ground Floor and my room looked out on to the street at street level. 2 slats on my blinds were broken so there was a gap which would mean that in the evening if I had the lights on people could look into the room. I raised this with reception, but this was not addressed.
For the price which is not cheap I would not recommend this hotel.
Parking is a long way from the Hotel and they do not provide umbrellas.
I stay for business in Norway and this is not the usual standard I get.

Nice stay at the hotel, everything was fine.

Nice property in a historic building. Super helpful staff and a good if not amazing breakfast. Decent bed and bathroom.
It is at the top of a pretty steep hill and we got our exercise walking to and from it. It's about an 8 minute (uphill) walk from the central station and maybe 10-12 back down to the harbor. I'd stay there again.

Hotel Park Bergen is a wonderful independent hotel in a city full of hotels belonging to various chains. It is about 15 minutes walk from the Bryggen, less than 10 minutes from KODE. There is a lovely park right behind the hotel where I spent a relaxing couple of hours away from the busyness of the city centre. The lounge area in the hotel is also a nice place to unwind, with tea, coffee and brownies. My room was comfortable and I was very happy with my stay here!

This property was very good. It is close to the train station (up a hill - but everything in Bergen is up or down a hill). The morning breakfast was included and was excellent. Rooms were clean, staff were very helpful. An walk to everything. Not many restaurants close to the hotel but many great restaurants in a 10-15 min walk. The natural history museum and gardens is only a 5-10 min walk. Overall would recommend.

We were placed across the street from the main hotel. We had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of steps. The parking was several blocks away. The bedroom door squeaked terribly and woke us up each time we had to use the bathroom. The shower tub and bathroom floor was so slippery that we almost killed ourselves.
We had to ask for shampoo which took 15 minutes to receive
Oh and there was no air conditioning and we paid $800 for what they called a suite but was really a converted attic.

Incredibly charming spot with an A breakfast, helpful staff, and great location. The platonic ideal of an independent/boutique European city hotel.

This cozy hotel is older but full of character. There is no elevator so be prepared for stairs. The staff did help with our bags and couldn't be more friendly. They were helpful with obtaining transportation and food and promptly took care of any concerns. The breakfast was good.

The hotel is in an older, attractive building right next to a good-sized city park. That made for a good walk. It is in the University district. We weren't there on academic business but the area made for another good walk through some very atmospheric buildings, with views of the surrounding mountains. The hotel is a few minutes' walk to the Storsenter (shopping center), the performance hall, the art museums and downtown shopping and restaurants. All this is downhill--which means uphill on the return but the walks are short. The hotel is decorated with interesting artwork and rugs so it has an individual and inviting feeling. The breakfast area is attractive and cozy. There was an excellent variety of breakfast items. There is no elevator, no problem for us but maybe for some.

An elegant old building on the edge of the University district of town, but only about 10 minutes walk from several bars/restaurants. Staff very helpful - and there are free brownies in the breakfast room every evening!

Beautiful hotel, nicely appointed rooms. Much recommended.

A graceful old building that has been tastefully brought to modern standards (bathrooms etc). Staff very helpful - especially the young man from reception who carried my heavy case up to my room

Very good host. I arrived late and nothing was a problem Good breakfast. No lifts and had to haul bags up stairs. Room was tiny. Uphill walk from station.

This is my message to Expedia and other media: Clean hotel but there is an extension in front of the main building. In the latter, there are rooms (at the same price) that are practically located in the basement with a tiny shower. We just took a cruise and the shower was at least twice as big! Hotel therefore to AVOID absolutely. Managers ARE NOT HONEST to tell you where your room will be. Moreover, in the main part, there is no elevator. We saw old people "managing" themselves to carry their luggage. No help. BRIEF HOTEL TO FORGET. Expedia should exclude it from its offers.
The breakfast is also minimalist

Great location-friendly front desk staff helpful with directions and cozy vibe.

Wonderful hotel right in the center of the old town. The stairs are a rough climb, especially if you have luggage.

Hotel Park Bergen is a beautiful, classic Norwegian hotel with well-appointed, comfortable rooms and ample bathroom features. We especially enjoyed the breakfast room and the concierge's offer of umbrellas to use while we were in rainy Bergen. Comfortable beds and quiet, which made for a good night's sleep.

An adorable hotel located a short distance from Bryggen (about 15 min). The design is artsy and classy at the same time. Only down side - if you have a hard time walking be aware that the hotel has no elevator and is located up a hill.
