This property is underated For the price its so good . We have stayed here several times .Staff are amazing and rooms are very clean with great air cond .

It’s an amazing place to stay, just not over the weekend. The pub downstairs had revellers and loud music going until 3am. That’s what I get for staying above

Location

Perfect for a quick stop on a long journey. Quite a lot of noise from the street outside though as it’s the town centre. Plenty of eateries though.

Friendly staff, good sized, clean room. Modern bathroom. My room was next yo entrance door and any time someone entered i woke up. This went on till 3 am. Elsmoking area was at entrance too and smoke came into my room, old windows. Dont get room 6.

Average pub accommodation. There is a step down to bathroom that was difficult to see, almost fell. Need a sign on bathroom door. Bedside lighting, or switches, would be helpful however the room was well lit by the very bright outside lighting coming through the edges of the blinds. On the plus side, had a good view of my car, through the broken glass window pane, due to the lights. Advertised as "non smoking" but room smelt of cigarette smoke. Terrible TV reception on the tiny TV. Very noisy in the alley with people talking and yelling and vehicles coming and going until 3am. Fridge also very noisy so switched off at power point! Beware of many outside stairs up to accommodation rooms. Room was poor value for $95 in my opinion.

Great location opposite Kmart and coles. Nice place for a drink Room was big with fridge jug etc Some music audible at night but very quiet Will definitely stay here again Our pick of the best value for money places in Goulburn - and we have stayed in almost all of them

Basic cheap value

Centrally located yet very quiet, good parking. Enjoyed my stay as the room was very spacious and I could spread out and sort my things very well. Huge bathroom newly renovated and windows provided great cross breeze.

Very sketchy, screaming fighting in carpark middle of day. Bedding stained bathroom unclean. Decided to forgo money paid and stay elsewhere. Not mentioned is hotel licenced till 3am!

It was clean and great shower

Great clean place great new bathroom plenty clean towels etc coffee, tea and milk in fridge. Aircon worked well room nice and warm, both beds comfortable and warm. Tv remote didn’t work and the lighting on the back stairs didn’t work had to use torch on phone to get up the stairs and find the key hole to open the door to get in, was lights there but not working only the one at the bottom of the stairs were there was other light from the car park. Also would ask for a room the other side from the alleyway as the bar is open till 3am and people go in and out a door that bangs and then stand and smoke laugh and talk, lucky we were in the pub playing pool drinking until 1am having fun great place.

It's old. Quite roomy especially the bathroom. Shower head great but the soap dispenser was inadequate and awkward to use. Comfortable bed. Split, system aircon had outside unit right next to the windows at the head of the bed so that was annoyingly noisy. But all up adequate accom for the price

Clean comfy bed,bathroom was fairly new but needed a good thorough clean. Needed to leave an extra toilet roll. Good for an overnight stay.

A good budget stopover in the heart of town with all basic amenities however, it would be a huge improvement if the showers were cleaned between stays. The glass was water stained and there was heavy mould growth on doorframes.

Room was well presented and good value for money but was let down by heavy black mould around the shower base and door.

Neglected,bugs on table and in kettle. No soap, and insecure back landing entrance. Hotel operational till 3 am so noise affected sleeping. Needs thorough clean and scrub and makeover.

what a fantastic surprise as it was clean and the bed was very relaxing and it was safe and in a central position overall 9 out of 10 oh did i mention that they had coffee and tea facilities in the room.

I have been using the Empire for a number of years when racing at Wakefield, This was the worst stay I have had. The mould in the shower, the broken shower rose and for the first time the excessive noise form down stairs until 2:30am one morning made sleeping impossible. Other than that the Empire is a great place to stay. Previously I rated it 5X5 but now I can only give it a 3X5
