XCARET DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH. After testing positive for COVID we tried to communicate with XCaret and Expedia to identify a best path forward. This was supposed to be our honeymoon, and they were not understanding at all. After we asked if we could simply get new dates instead of cancelling as we really still wanted to go, we were told they were going to ask the supervisor after we shared our records proving our illness. Further, my husband is susceptible to severe COVID, and we had no choice as we could not risk severe reactions abroad. Not only were we sick and struggling to make calls at the time, they didn't care. The refund was rejected although we asked for alternative dates as well. They would rather have people come with COVID than accommodate. This is unethical and just downright taking advantage of their customers. Not only are they money hungry -- I'm sure they have put other customers in this position, and I'm sure they have been given no choice but to go COVID positive or lose money (this is honeymoon funds from guests!!!) Who would want to go to this place knowing that they force COVID positive customers to show up. After making us wait for days for a response, they didn't allow for a conversation and simply rejected. The customer service has been infuriating as anyone you talk to simply say "they need to talk to a supervisor" and don't allow you to talk to anyone. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT COVID.

Hotel refused to move my date or partially refund $900 I paid for one night. I would expect Expedia and the hotel be understanding of my medical emergency but no courtesy was extended whatsoever.

Our second time was a joy at this resort. The quality remains and everything is high standard. Im usually not a fan of most resort food but at the Arte, the food was excellent.
Overall tho above the rest, is the service. Whatever we needed was provided. There were many who provided excellent service but to highlight a few:
Juana - the best server up on the rooftop ba en Casa Del Diseno. Whenever we needed a drink, she would have it for us. Also thank you to Karen, Sheila, Martin, Charly and Ruben.
We definetly would love to be back at this resort!

This is our 2nd trip to Xcaret Arte - there are really no words to describe it. The property is beautiful, clean, the food was delicious and the staff are so nice and helpful...especially Ernesto who from the very start was so friendly, accommodating...super nice and he would really go out of his way to help you and to ensure that you would have an amazing time when you're there. Overall, we would definitely recommend Xcaret Arte and we definitely are planning to go back.

Check in here is a NIGHTMARE!!
They will literally take 45 minutes to an hour of your time trying to upgrade you and/or sell timeshares when truly they could be telling you all about the property. The property is so you need to know about the property.
A few key things to know, if you’re going on a family trip, you need to call a week in advance and make sure you secure your rooms together.
Also, even though the website shows to have two queen beds on the river rooms, they either lied or said they don’t have them. Paid for a room for my 3 adult children, and one had to sleep on a cot-like sofa pull out bed. I was very upset about this!
All the pools close at 7 PM – even on the adult side; And they stop serving drinks at the pool at 6:30 PM downstairs and at the rooftop at 5 PM.
There are a few restaurants that you’ll need to make reservations for days in advance ~ La Cuevas is one of them. Even though our specific rooms came with butler night and day, no one shared this information with us until it was too late.
I would say all of the parks are very similar, and seem to just be a way to keep you away from the hotel, where everything like food and drinks are most easily accessible. Even though we would go to these parks with a group, we often took a private shuttle back rather than staying the whole day.

We loved the friendliness of staff and the parks were awesome!! Great hotel for a honeymoon, plenty to do but also good spaces to relax. 4/5 stars if I am being very picky - our room wasn’t ready on time and we weren’t walked through how everything worked; However it is easy enough to figure out / staff will help upon asking. We didn’t want to leave !

I check in around 2pm and they given the room until 4pm the room was dirty no spaces for the restaurants with reservations. The others restaurants was so full of people no beach 😪

The property is not very convenient for wheelchair-bound people to reach some places.
Sometimes different staff gives the visitors contradictory information about how to get to certain places on the property.
Turning on TVs and using the phone may be an issue.
It took four days of attempts to solve the problem with the TV working with the Apple platform.
Xcaret Arte app does not provide GPS orientation for visitors to the property. One staff said that the GPS is not working there but we never saw a GPS interruption on our devices.
Drink and snack refills sometimes fail in the room.
The food in one of the requested room services was not fresh: reheated and tasteless meat and cold soup. No salt and pepper included.
But in general, our stay experience was great.

The staff were so amazing. It’s almost impossible to find something you don’t like about Xcaret. I really wanted to take a picture In the bridge pool. I didn’t not realize those pools are exclusive. I wish I had known as I would have stayed In that Casa. However our room was beautiful nonetheless
