Helt suveren service!

Can't say I fully enjoyed my experience there. The view from the superior room is to a very sad patio with limited privacy. The service was not as friendly as they advertise, people seemed to be too stressed out to have time to take care of the guest's needs. Breakfast experience is very chaotic. Too many people, too little space, not enough staff. My subjective opinion is that there was a lot of pretentiousness with not much substance. It's a shame.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic service, fabulous rooms, pool and sauna were first class and the breakfast was a combination of prepared to order and wonderful buffet- will definitely return when next in Oslo

Just perfect

Very average hotel. Restaurant and bars close very early. Room Service is also poor as it finishes at 9pm. Not recommended as a five star hotel it falls short.

Fantastic property, diligent and attentive employees

We had an amazing experience at this hotel. Everything was well thought, there is still and sparkling water that tasted like tve best water on earth on tab on each floor. The shower was wonderful. I can’t explain how comfortable the bed, sheets and pillows were. Downstairs restaurant is elegant, in our stay breakfast was included and I highly recommend it. Location is also great. There is an entrance to the train station only a block away which was very convenient. Everywhere is walkable. We did not have time for the spa or rooftop restaurant but we heard excellent things. We will be back for a longer stay!!

Modern fancy hotel with down to earth service. Killer pool

Great location in quiet area with plenty of tram options for easy transport around the city. Also close to station for airport express train. Breakfast experience did not fully meet my expectations for a five star hotel. In particular the filter coffee on offer was barely warm, even when I asked if it was hot and was never offered an alternative. I did ask for a cappuccino one morning but it never arrived. Nice room but need to pay attention to cleaning less obvious areas as there was some dusty spots.

The staff was so friendly and informative The breakfast buffet was generous, fresh with great options. The roof top restaurant has 360 views. The location is an easy walk to city center and transportation. Highly recommend this hotel.

This is a relatively new "designer" hotel near the palace. It is in a lively neighborhood, but not overrun with tourists--yet it is an easy walk to the tourist area on the harbor. It has an amazing breakfast (included in the room price), and a full service gym that some locals patronize. While the rooms are extremely stylish, they are not well designed from a practical viewpoint. There is almost no storage, forcing one to live out of suitcases. The lighting system in the room is extremely complex to operate, but no instructions are provided. While the hotel staff were friendly and responsive, no luggage stands were provided until requested, and for one of our two stays, no waste container was provided except in the bathroom. The bathroom was also quite small with little space to put toiletries. The hotel has a ventilation system, but no real air conditioning--and very limited ability to adjust room temperature.

Property was beautiful. Just had an issue with the air conditioning not working so the room was quite stuffy. Noise from room upstairs was a little annoying and the lights that come on at 10pm in the centre of the building are rather annoying when trying to sleep especially if you are allocated an inward facing room.

Very high end hotel with descent accommodations. Service at roof top restaurant was lacking speed.

Wonderful rooms and breakfast

The Sommero is a beautiful Art Deco style property. Rooms are large, comfortable and nicely decorated. The entire experience was pleasant from check-in to dining, breakfast and check-out. The staff was friendly and quite helpful. After check-out my wife realized she left a bag at the hotel and our cruise ship was leaving that afternoon. We callled the hotel, they had the bag and sent to us in a cab. They really saved our day and our cruise. This is a hotel you should definitely give a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic hotel! Ideally placed - public transport right outside the door to take you all over Oslo, and only a 5-10 minute walk to the centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms so comfortable with everything you could need. I would definitely stay here again

2200kr for one night and very very weird room :( Very. Like a train coupe with a courtain…. No TV which is fine but also bit odd. Also they advert for pool which must be added extra. Nowhere to «add» that while making the reservation. So it wasnt included. Breakfast was delicious though.

Sombrero is a fairly new and beautiful hotel. Breakfast was great and plentiful!n. Had everything one needed.

If you are lucky enough to stay at this hotel- you will have an amazing experience - EVERY detail is refined and thought of. My wife and I loved staying at the Summero

Nice gym, good concept. If you get a suite that’s great. I had a bad experience as I’m convinced that I left two jackets in the wardrobe and when I contacted the hotel they said that house keeping never found anything. Very strange. Nice continental breakfast options, cooked breakfast quality needs improvement. Great roof top restaurant.

Oslo’s only true five star hotel; in the same league as five star hotels in London and Hong Kong (if not better). I have been impressed and taken care of from start to finish by the most pleasant, personable and professional staff. The hotel is traditional, yet subtly high tech. Everything is in pristine condition. The food is delicious - I recommend the oysters! I honestly cannot say enough good things, I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
