It was alright. Room neat, sheets clean, toiletries provided. Calm and quiet all through the night.

I liked the neighborhood. I used to live here. The hotel is in a good location and they have a convenient parking garage.

It was great

Everything was as expected. There were some screaming children staying in a nearby room, but that's not the fault of the hotel. Apart from the hotel itself, it was nice to stay in a real neighborhood as opposed to a very touristy area. Get some of the grub from the food carts on the street.

This hotel was very basic. The room was much smaller than any other room I've stayed in. It was plain but had what I needed for an overnight stay. At first, I was very unhappy since it definitely wasn't a place I wanted to relax and hang out in. But after considering that my expectations for a room in NYC may need to be adjusted, I would have say in all fairness it was just fine. The bed was made nicely with tight sheets. The bathroom was small but clean. The shower was actually great and put out a lot of water. The bed was not plush or super soft but was acceptable. When we needed some towels the desk clerk kindly gave us nice, clean towels quickly. The neighborhood was lively and had many small restaurants I would have loved to try if there was time. In fact, they were cooking up some street food on a grill outside the hotel which smelled delicious. The neighborhood appeared to be Arabic and some of the restaurants had Arabic food which I would love to come back and try next visit. We walked from the subway about 10 blocks it seemed to get there and even at 10pm I felt safe. There was a police station nearby. It was a good room for the price if you want something more upscale I'm sure you'd pay a good bit more in NYC.
