the room was very noisy with sound and music coming from the mall. The room was standard for a business type hotel and doesn’t worth the price.

You wont find a better value for money hotel in Nairobi. Extremely clean, good amenities, amazing rooftop bar with a fantastic view of the city, quirky and modern aesthetic, located right next to village market mall. You really cannot ask for more.

The location of the hotel is superb. Connected to the village market which is the best mall in Nairobi. The hotel also has very good restaurants - Harvest and Hero.

We stayed in a suite - the layout couldn't be worse. Tiny shower area right next to the bed with an open sink, the living area with a $10 couch and table and a cheap little fridge kept in the living area. Saving grace was a pantry / kitchenette but again wonder why the fridge wasn't in there. Also why is there only one toilet that too open and tiny in a suite? Finally, the staff are mostly very good and polite. I had opposite experiences checking in and checking out - check in the person was clueless couldn't find my booking initially then didn't have any of my details from booking.com. check out the staff we're super helpful and efficient. Overall it's not worth anywhere close to what they charge because of the quality of the room which is akin to a economy bed & breakfast. Shocked that this is a Marriott approved property and part of the same group as the Tribe Hotel which is a class apart

Staffs are overwhelmed and there is always a mix-up of requests. Airport taxi always late, can’t be a coincidence..😬

I had two consecutive stays (one through booking.com and one booked through my client). Had it been for the first stay only I would have written a negative review. The second stay however was more than perfect. So here the positives: in general i found the staff (except the receptionist the very first morning) very attentive. The rooms were well equipped and spacious. Breakfast was fantastic. As a compensation for the bad experience at the first morning I got a dinner on the house and an upgrade on my second stay. This is appreciated. Thank you!

The first morning was a nightmare. My flight arrived at 3:30 in the morning and the airport pickup (which is by the way expensive) did not show up. I called the hotel (on very expensive roaming charges) and still nothing happened. So after waiting for more than an hour at this time in the morning I took a taxi and the receptionist claimed, that i had not paid for the transfer (which I could proof, that i did). I still had to argue, that the hotel had to pay for the taxi. After finally arriving after a sleepless and tiring night at the room at 6:00 in the morning, it was not cleaned with hair on the bed, used towels, full dustbins, used water bottles... As mentioned, the costumer relations manager, Eva, made sure, that after that everything went very smoothly and well.

Not sure why this hotel is rated well. It is bland, lifeless, ugly and poorly designed.
