This hotel is nestled in the heart of the old district of Türkiye. The rooms are comfy and very affordable and you are a short stroll from great food and tourist highlights such as the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern. However, by far the greatest feature of the Maritime Hotel is its exceptional staff team led by Ergun and supported by both Qhalid and Dilyara this has a team of people dedicated to ensuring your time in Istanbul is everything you want it to be. Relaxing, exciting, fun-filled or authentic. The Showers are good, the rooftop is great, the breakfast is filling and delicious and the 24/7 mini shop across the street for snacks and drinks is ideal at the end of a day of sightseeing.

It's difficult to find fault with my time here, I had a brilliant experience. Two things, the team at the hotel offered me a transfer from the airport, but I wanted to navigate the subway system myself. Be advised that if you do this, you will have multiple changes as you jump across different lines.

The manager of the hotel Mr. Ergun and the hotel owner were very helpful and always available to ensure our stay was comfortable. From the time I booked the hotel, he initiated the communication to ensure my travel was good. The breakfast and the internet were very good. They helped us get good fun places for the kids and we were fortunate to get good discounts.

The good thing is the location. It’s located in Sultan Ahmet area near the beach. The view from the balcony and the small terrace on the roof is good.

Unfortunately the electricity kept going out throughout our 5 nights stay and sometimes they waited 3 hours to turn on the backup generator midday in August! They need to pay more attention to the cleaning crew. Breakfast can be improved Lack of elevators in the building means climbing stairs if you want to stay in the rooms with the sea view.

The location is great, literally a 10 mins walk from Sultanahmet station and major attraction.Despite the fact that the area is busy it was very quite and peaceful. The staff is very helpful, kind and approachable. Ergun and Serdat were there at all times to assist whether with routes, trips, medical issues or simple chit chats. Strongly recommend!

The 2 sockets present in the room are located far away from the bed and it was difficult to charge my devices.

Location, location, location. We were really short on time to stay at Istambul and so we needed an affordable place that was close to the mosque. Ergur was extremely nice and accomodating, he was approachable and really helped us out.

Location is perfect for tourists. Staff mostly friendly. Quite surroundings. Easily accessible from main roads of the city.

Breakfast was just simple, without sufficient choices. Bathroom was ok but with poor quality toiletries. The shower stand was broken. Although called as queen bed, in fact two single beds were joined together.

Very good hotel with nice Breakfast and the location is very good very near to Blue Mosque, Hague Sofia and TopKapi Palace. All Walkable distance. With nice family restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. Even the super Market is opposite to maritime open 24 hours. We love this property. And the guy Ergun is very supportive and very good person, and also had guided us and arranged us for tours in Istanbul Bursa and Trabzon. Over all the hotel and staff is very good. With nice location. My family and kids had nice time.....

We like the location of the hotel because it enable us to walk around the old city of istanbul every night. Also, the view of the roof top is amazing and it's open 24hours which is good. Breakfast is also wonderful.

The toilet is quite small and was a bit difficult to move. The bathroom kit is very less for the number of people staying in the room which should have been provided properly. Good thing we usually bring our own kits.

Great place, Great people.

This is one of the most amazing trips and the hotel had also played a crucial part. Mr Sardar (spelling maybe wrong, the person at the end of the video I posted) was one of the most kindest and amazing person I met. He helped with directions, tips, everything. Mr Ergon was also very nice and helpful. Location of the hotel is amazing, absolutely amazing walking distance to blue mosque, haga Sophia, Topkapi palace and basilica cistern and even the metro. Brilliant location. The rooftop terrace was also nice and relaxing. However, when I booked a taxi through them to drop me to the hotel, firstly they did charge a bit extra 700to be precise (Uber showed me 500 but I thought okay no problem to be safe let’s book through the hotel). But then the taxi driver charged me 400 liras more for going through the tunnel. I argued and brought it down to 100. Hence I paid 800. I had to tell I am a student otherwise he would drop me back to the hotel. Also I felt uneasy so I told my sister to call the hotel and check the details on the taxi. The hotel people did not know. This is bad, they should: 1) make it clear to the driver that whatever happens no more money to be taken from the customer and assurance should be given. 2) the taxi details should be stored and shared if needed. Other than this the hotel was very nice. Room is perfect for 1/2 people and water was nice and hot. Breakfast was very nice and filling. Very cozy and nice room.

Great location with a walking distance to the city centre. Modern room with a balcony and a view, cleaned every day. Tasty and various breakfast. Really nice and helpful personnel, especially the lady from the kitchen who got us a little snack to eat every day. The hotel also provided a taxi to the airport in the middle of the night, which was really helpful. Thank you so much and would recommend.

It is located next to the historic center. The breakfast was very good and plentiful (homemade cookies, pancake + menem). Ergun (the receptionist) is very helpful and nice guy. Serdar helped to move one of the louder friendgroup away from us so we could rest peacefully at night. Also we could not hear the call from the muezzin at morning. They provided still water and the towels were daily changed. We recommend the hotel for everyone easily.

Very good location! Basically, everything you need is within walking distance (attraction sights, sea, public transport, restaurants, shops etc) The hotel is tucked away from all the tourist-brought noise while still being accessible. The staff are very nice and helpful! Also, the breakfast was very hearty and gave a good boost to go out and enjoy the day! Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others :)

The daily cleaning of the room needs a bit of improvement. We noticed that the room was not vacuumed and the sink not cleaned regularly, but it didn't bother us that much to ask them to clean it again. But something to keep a note of.

The hotel is located in the heart of the old town with walking distance to historical places like SultanAhmet Mosque and Hagia Sophie Grand Mosque. Staff are extremely helpful and welcoming.

Since the hotel is in old building, there is no elevator

The hotel is located close to Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque and other places. The staff is very polite, helpful and speak different languages (Turkish, English, Russian etc).

Location is not good if you have to travel by metro or tram. Blue mosque is very close. Breakfasts are good. Room (standard) is very poor. Shower cabin is not safe, room lighting is poor. If your purpose is to see Istanbul, this place is not your choice
