We loved this place! It was just as beautiful as it looks in the listing. The view from the patio was so lovely and we spent endless time out there. Even though the pool doesn’t get direct sun in November, we swam every day anyway (we’re from NY so we’re used to chilly water!). Little grocery store is about 6 blocks away, and the walk down to Xlendi Bay is very doable. Jeff and Mariella were very helpful and responsive hosts and answered all our messages quickly, and made the check-in process a breeze. If you are looking for a quiet, clean, peaceful, beautiful getaway, this is a great spot.

Incredibly beautiful house.

Just as listed, but so peaceful. Pool a life saver in the heatwave. Stand fans alongside ceiling fans really helped too. Jeff and Mariella were really helpful with what to do and where. Not intrusive but there for advice. Thank you!

A beautiful rustic farmhouse.
We had a great holiday in Munxar, and for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday, Bebbux would be a great choice. Whilst the pool is not huge, it was fantastic on the hot days, many of which we spent lounging on the lovely big sun terrace. Thanks Jeff for a lovely holiday.

Great holidays
The property is completly aligned with the description. If I can do a recommandation, it would be nice to have a dishwasher and an air conditioning.
Concerning Jeff and his wife, we can confirm that they are great and very welcoming.

Peaceful, rustic, quirky & short walk to local towns
This villa is lovely, especially if you like traditional.. it is situated in a small, very friendly village with views across the fields and main road into Victoria. There is a small, well stocked supermarket five minutes walk away and is a 20-30 mins hilly but pleasant walk from Victoria, through the village of Fontana. There is also a bus stop 5-10 mins stroll away where you can catch a bus to the bus station in Victoria.
The approx 8’ deep pool is much smaller than the picture indicates but this wasn’t a problem for us.
The villa does smell a bit damp and the drains from the hand basins aren’t great, we reported this to the owner and a ‘man’ was sent the same day to try to resolve this... not sure the problem did resolve but again it didn’t really spoil our stay as we were outside a lot.
We met the owner toward the end of our holiday but he had given us lots of information by email prior to our arrival.
A map to the bus stop and bus numbers into town would have been useful in the info in the villa.
We arrived just after 1pm on a Sunday and the supermarket had just closed, it would have been helpful to have had milk in the fridge/welcome pack. We were left a very small cheese round and a small packet of crackers and there was tea/coffee in the cupboards.
There’s not really anything to do in Munxar, it’s really a residential village but it’s pretty and close to bus/walking routes to Xlendi and Victoria.
Overall we had a very lovely time.
Gozo is gorgeous.

Amazing holiday
We had a brilliant family holiday (6adults). The listing as exactly as described, the view and outside space was perfect and pool and added bonus. Walking distance to the sea or capital, all amenities available. Jeff and Mariella were greated us on arrival with handy tips and local knowledge and were contactable when we had an issue.
We would all book to visit again!

Always have a wonderful time at Bebbux
We have been there during the summer so we thought we would go for Christmas. The house is so Christmassy with lit candles and we brought some decorations and it looked great. We decided to cook as everything we wanted was available locally. We wanted a quiet Christmas but there was still lots to do and see. The weather was colder than expected but the owners made sure there was plenty of heaters available. If you are thinking of a Christmas or winter break I would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful house!
We had a lovely week´s stay in this beautiful house! The house is even more lovely than the images, spacious and with an enormous terrace with lovely view. We were thankful to find a small supply of everyday items such as coffee, tea, dish washer liquid etc on our arrival. Our host was very helpful, and took great care of us. I highly recommend the walk along the Sanap Cliffs, stunning views! Munxar is a very quiet village, suitable for a tranquil vacation.

Incredibly impressed!
Our stay at Bebbux was just lovely. We fell in love with the farmhouse from the moment we walked in. The highest compliment we could pay you would be to say that it felt like our home and Mariella with her feminine touches helped to give it such a homely and cosy feel and we felt very safe and happy there.
The views were amazing. The pool was refreshing in the heat of the day. We had everything that we needed to make our holiday so special.
We loved it so much we have booked to come back next year!!

Absolutely delightful!
Have just returned from a glorious week staying at Bebbux. Everything exactly as described and had a wonderfully homely and relaxing feel. Location was perfect for exploring the beautiful island of Gozo and the information shared before and during the stay was most helpful. The farmhouse was charming in every way. Very spacious and comfortable rooms, lacking nothing to further enhance. Communication with Jeff was always prompt and helpful - just what you need when you want to fully relax! Went as a family of four and with my son’s friend and we all loved it for our own reasons!
Can thoroughly recommend and will definitely be visiting again. Many thanks Jeff and Mariella for letting us stay in your Gozitan paradise!

Character and charm
Bebbux always lives up to its name... everything moves at snail’s pace whether you’re enjoying the view, relaxing in the farmhouse or walking in the nearby rural areas.
A break from the real world and a step into tranquility.

Amazing two weeks!
We (five adults an one little child) stayed two weeks in Bebbux. It was great. Gozo is lovely and the view from the sundeck was stunning. There is everything you need in the house. There is no air conditioner in the bedrooms but this have to be clear when you reed the description about the house. Jeff and Mariella were accessible at any time.

Lovely farmhouse in quiet village with great pool and views. Comfortable and ideal for visiting gozo
We had a great week staying at bebbux. The farmhouse is ideally located and is a short walk from a well stocked shop. The village is v quiet and good for families who just want to relax and wind down. The house is well kept and has lots of interesting features to make it a fun place to stay. The pool is great for cooling off in the heat and we enjoyed having all our meals outside. We hired a car which was helpfully advised by jeff. It meant we could explore gozo and see the sights, though xlendi is only 20 mins walk away. We found our hosts to be very helpful giving good advice and a warm welcome. For exploring gozo a stay at bebbux would be well worth it. We had a great time! Thanks Jeff!

Lovely building, fantastic island BUT...
...in need of some TLC. Really struggling to write this review because despite everything we had a brilliant holiday in Gozo. However, we wouldn't return to this property for a number of reasons. The price of the holiday was slightly more expensive than we usually pay but given the good reviews we had high expectations. After settling in we spotted that there was no bed linen or towels for the downstairs bedroom - we transferred some spare bedding from the upstairs so were just short of a few towels. Then as night fell the fuses tripped and we were left in darkness. We managed to find one fuse box which didn't solve the problem so called Jeff who directed us to the other fuse box and problem solved. He kept asking what we had plugged in and whilst we hadn't done anything I was left feeling in the wrong. I also told him about the bedding and he promptly arranged to have the housekeeper sort in the morning but again no apology. The fuses continued to trip over the next couple of days and it was discovered to be a broken pool pump... not us!
I had reason to call Jeff later on in the week when a family was let into the house. They had been transferred by a car hire company and taken to the wrong house - quite an in uncomfortable moment for everyone but easily sorted although with little customer care.
The house itself was not uncomfortably dirty but not particularly clean -the worst being - a plughole blocked with hair, brown slime behind the taps in one room and the fridge freezer was a little rusty and mouldy. The kitchen was oddly equipped - not many mugs, lots of glasses and a bizarre amount of plates and frying pans. There were chips in 50% of the crockery, a few of the frying pans had seen better days and the can opener rusted beyond belief. None of this spoilt our holiday just sadly made the house feel a little unloved and uncared for.
The worst problem we encountered was the heat! With no air conditioning and temperatures of around 36 deg not one of us slept properly at night. My son had the back bedroom and it was stifling - the room did have a ceiling fan and floor fan but it didn't seem to help. He ended up sleeping downstairs on the sofa.
Not a particularly positive review but aside from the air conditioning everything I have mentioned could be easily sorted and the house itself is lovely, the pool is great (very well used over the week), the views fantastic and Gozo was beautiful.

Fantastic quaint property
We had a fantastic time at the property, loved the quaintness, tried to work out how it had been changed/remodelled over the years. The pool was a blessing on very hot days. The chickens early chorus was perhaps too early, and the goats walking through the village was delightful. Munxar village we loved, people were friendly, it was clean, and easy to navigate around. We toured to most parts of the island and mainland Malta, loved the history.

Characterful and homely
We love this place it is cosy and full of character. The rooms are huge and watching the sun go down is magical. There are good shops, restaurants and beaches nearby so we really find it home from home. Would highly recommend it.

A wonderful place to stay away from the tourist hassle and bustle. The farmhouse is located in a small village whereby the only public place is a mini supermarket where you can find averything you want. It's barely 2mn from Victoria centre, and 2mn from neighboring Xlendi, a small village by the sea where you can find a number of affordable sea food restaurants.
Now back to the farmhouse, it's gigantic , compared to the size of regular available location for rent at this time of the year, more than 200 m2, + a large balcony and a swimming pool, where we spent most of our time, given the choking high temperatures, besides bathing , sunbathing and dining at evenings. All rooms are very large, and all equipped with a private bathroom, the farmhouse overall is pretty well fiited out with all necessary household appliances ( washing machine+ dryer) + cable TV which is quite relevant for early waking up children in the morning ;-). We definitely recommend that wonderful place.

We had a wonderful stay here and would not hesitate in recommending it to EVERYONE! A lovely place, with everything we needed and lots of charm. Thankyou Jeff for meeting us at the airport- a super personal touch. It was a bit cold for the pool, but we had a couple of BBQs and everything in Gozo is within such easy reach. It was no trouble, getting from Malta to Gozo- all part of the adventure!

"that is a very nice location - just keep in mind that it is an house located in a small village
you have a small but very enjoyable pool on a terrace but no garden
home furniture is ok"

"Very nice house, nice furnished. Jeff, the owner, was very nice and helpful. Good location: only 20 minutes walk to Victoria for those like us who did not want to rent a car. Many buses also drive from the beach to Victoria through the village. We would for sure come here again when the main road is finished (for the moment - and probably for some months, the main road is closed, and road deviation goes through Munzar, near to the house: a bit noisy)"

"A beautiful house, very tastefully restored with great use of origanal stonework.
There is a fabulous view over the valley to Victoria form the garden/pool.
Very friendly and helpful owners.
In walking distance of Victoria for bars/restaurants (about 20 mins).
You definitely should get a car and I'd recommend an airport transfer."

"We had a really nice week in this splendid traditional farmhouse, completely restored with very good taste. The equipment is also remarkable, so as the kindly attention and efficiency of the owners and the woman in charge of the farmhouse.Indeed, we had even a welcome package in the fridge!
We just missed a more sunny garden, as we went to Gozo in April and the weather wasn´t so warm. I am sure, during the summer you won´t be "bothered" by the shadow of the nice pine in the garden!
In short, a place to go.

We stay in Munxar, Gozo from the end of june till begin of july 2009. We're from Berlin, Germany and rent the farmhouse "Bebbux" with 4 adults (24-28y) and our little daughter (9m). The farmhouse is a beautiful place for family holidays or a trip with a small group of good friends. Everything in "Bebbux" is fondly furnished. The architecture of the old house is designed in an warm mediterran style and all is cleanly. There many great palms and nice plants into the house, wich give us everytime the feeling to be outside. We love the view from the garden over victoria, the biggest village on the small island, by day and night. The pool is totally hot, clean too, and a great tree on left side of the garden make it shady around midday. In the late evening it will be not to hot on gozo, cause a warm breeze go over the island. We lived to see some wonderful moments in this farmhouse or better outside in the garden and our daughter does her first shaky steps by the hands around the pool. price-quality ratio for our one week was totally okay and the owner of the house help us in advance with all questions and organistion for airport-transports and car rental. For teenager who want to party is gozo not the best holiday resort, cause it is an quite and really small island. We visit Valletta on Malta for the last day and night and there was better to go out in the clubs or bars around the harbour. But when you come to relax and enjoy sun and calm it's one of the best places to stay in holidays.
We're sure, that we come back again in the next years!!!
ps: When you visit "Rambla Bay" for swiming and to bask in the sun, do a little adventure turn of 5minutes over the small hill on the left side of the beach (use the beattrack next to the snack bar). These dreamfully little bay has real sandy beach and i mean it was the best place on island! :D
