Even though the apartment is located in a good looking building and has a great view of the ocean and the pool, the inside of the apartment was not so great. At least the bedrooms and bathrooms looked clean. The walls in the bedrooms had mold, the paint was coming off on a lot of different walls in the apartment, the A/C was leaking in the hall between the master bedroom and bathroom and had mold on the ceiling where it was leaking. The love seat in the living room had a hole with duct tape on it. The furniture was very outdated and the furniture on the balcony was dirty and rusty, there is a reason why the picture on the internet shows only the rails of the balcony. The owner send me a email a couple of days before or the day before letting me know that we could not use the bathtub in our master bathroom because it had a leak to the apartment downstairs and that he was sorry for the inconvenience. The apartment has potential but the owner needs to keep up with it and paint it and get rid of the mold. (I was praying that I would not get sick from it) Since we only stay there to sleep, we kind of ignore the situation. I didn't think there was a point on calling the owner to complaint since he didn't even lived in PR and I am sure he is aware of what his apartment looks like and to tell you the truth if he didn't fixed it before we got there I don't think anything could of been done afterwards. We took some pictures of the apartment just in case it was need it to be shown.

The location was great. Best of both worlds with a pool and the sound and beauty of the beach. The balcony overlooks both. June was an excellent time to travel to avoid crowds of people. We virtually had the amenities to ourselves. Pretty much everything you need on the resort property which is nice. The condo needs some repairs. Pics are a little deceiving. They did say they were doing repairs the month after we were there so hopefully some of those things will be addressed. The property management was quick to communicate about issues. It is definitely a place we would consider returning to. Just hoping they show it a little TLC before next time.

The condo was extremely well stocked. The kitchen had spices and all you need for any meal. Coolers, beach towels and other beach items made life very convenient and easy. Blueprint for the condo was very efficient and the view of the beach and ocean was magnificent. Two golf courses were nice but hard to get early tee times as a guest. I will go back.

It was wonderful. I wish we had had a map of Palmas Del Mar and what was available to us. Our condo was and met all our expectations and more. The seaweed is there some days and some not. Watch and enjoy the ocean and all the pools. I need to locate the host again due to coming back there July 20-28, 2023, but may need a few more beds???

We absolutely loved our stay in Puerto Rico. The beach was beautiful and the pool was lovely. Only an hour drive to San Juan and 30 minute drive to hiking and waterfalls. Lots of food options in the Palmas Del Mar Community as well. We also did the horse back riding in the community which was a blast. 10 out of 10.

Property is amazing! The view of the ocean is worth it alone. Condo is as described only minor issue is a mildew smell from the 2nd bedroom. I’m sure it’s just because of the tropical weather. We were able to leave the patio doors open at night. Bugs weren’t an issue and the breeze keeps the condo cool. Pool area is not busy and the beach is accessible for swimming. The whole Palmas Del Mar community is as safe as it gets. Pretty much everywhere we went I felt safe and that includes outside the condo community.

The unit was spacious, clean, and really lovely. The absolute best thing is that you can open the super wide, 4-panel sliding glass door to the balcony for a wonderfully breezy indoor/outdoor vibe. Had the pool to ourselves. When the AC had a hiccup, management had it fixed quickly after sending a note to them. Honestly, I can’t say enough good about the individual unit and the experience dealing with the owner/management.
Didn’t love the gated community of Palmas as a whole. Very little available for renters to do. You have to be an owner to do most things, and when we weren’t in our unit (which was awesome), it felt like we were in a huge apartment complex pretty much anywhere. It was great having an ocean front space, but you can use the beach and there’s not really any available beach access.
Basically loved the unit and the view and the property the unit was on. Really didn’t enjoy the rest of Palmas. If you are looking for a SUPER low-key place, I can’t recommend it enough. If you are looking for anything to do, be prepared to drive some distance.

We booked this trip in March, landed on 7/27, walked in to a condo that was NOT cleaned. We contacted the property management company who "attempted" to call a cleaning person. No one ever showed. We found severe black mold in the bathroom and we couldn't stay. The rental property had no other option for us - WE had to find another place to stay! We drove 2.5hrs into the night to the complete other side of the island. Yeah, I think you can say we won't stay here again.
Owners / Property Managers have a responsibility to check on their rentals regularly. Very disappointed.

Beautiful condo, beautiful views! Very clean and nice gated community! No access to ocean as seaweed and erosion had the beach closed. Apparently after talking to owners in another condo it has been like that a couple years! I feel this should be told to renters as we had to drive 45 minutes to a beach that was swimable! But overall resort was great!

On a positive note, the condo was very spacious and lovely. It was also well equipped. However, the beautiful balcony was loaded with dead moth-like bugs. I don't mean a dozen or two but completely covered. It was disgusting and it obviously had not been cleaned for our arrival. The master bedroom had three large areas of black mold and the ceiling dripped in a small area in the master bedroom and over part of the dining room table.
We did not have enough bath towels and when I called Drake, one of the owner's agents/representatives, and told him we needed more bath towels, he said he would look into it. I never heard from him (or anyone) again. Needless to say, we did not get more towels.
When we checked in we were told by security that one of the pools and the hot tub were for the residents only. There were signs posted stating the same. On top of it all, there was no beach. There was a good 2-3 feet deep of red seaweed where the beach was and there were signs posted to keep off and not to go beyond the signs. Although we had a lovely view of the water, there was absolutely no beach and no way to go into the water. VERY disappointing,

Everything about this condo was great. It’s right next to a beautiful beach front area. The patio also looks over the swimming pool and the beach. The property is in two gated areas so we all felt really safe. The beach isn’t private, but when we were there we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The email sent out prior to arrival tells about local places to go eat and shop which we found very helpful. Overall, we really enjoyed vacation!!
One thing we didn’t bring and it wasn’t offered at the condo was soap for the shower. We went to the local stores and bought some so it was no big deal, but just a heads up to bring some from home. :)

Wonderful apartment in front of the ocean. We ate most of our meals in the balcony in front of the ocean listening and watching the waves. We spent plenty of time on the beach which had been cleaned from the sargasso. The water was warm and plenty of wildlife to observe. Palmas has plenty to do inside the resort Including tennis, golfing, jogging and walking trails. John, our host and his assistant, answered all our questions in a timely manner. The location of the apartment was perfect with easy access to the parking garage and elevator. The security folks were courteous and great to work with. Thanks again John for a relaxing vacation in your lovely apartment. It was a perfect stay which I enjoyed with my Family.

The condo is spacious, clean and provides an environment to relax in. The kitchen is well stocked. Beds were very comfortable. The location to the dragon pool was convenient for our sons. We had to walk down to a golf cart path just after the Solarea condos to find a beach access with a sandy area. The beaches in this area do have a good amount of seaweed washing up. The ocean in front of the condo always came up to the plants/trees. We found ourselves driving outside of Palmas to spend beach days at other locations and coming back for afternoon pool time. The condo area was not crowded and most of the time we had the pool to ourselves. The dolphin pool with hot tub was restricted to owners only at the time. If you’re looking for a quiet, clean, comfortable location to relax in, you will enjoy this unit!

We loved everything about our stay! The property is beautiful! We didn’t need to rent a golf cart to get around but we decided to just because it looked fun. Some of the prettiest views from the balcony window. 3 out of the 4 of us had never been to Puerto Rico and we loved it. The food at the community restaurants was very good too! The Pterocarpus forest was a highlight of my trip. Cant wait to go back!

The Marbella Club is easily the most beautiful location within Palmas Del Mar. When we arrived at Marbella we were greeted by a very friendly and courteous guard at the gate. We always received a courteous and efficient service from all of them.
Check-in process was very smooth. Parking is under ground - a plus, as the sun always hits hard in Puerto Rico, and even harder during the summer months.
This unit is very comfortable and in perfect condition. It has all the amenities you need to make things easy and relaxed.
The Marbella Club complex has two pools and a jacuzzi.The pool closer to the building where we stayed (the Dragon's pool) is the smaller one. Although both are good pools, the Dragon's tended to be less crowded and, consequently, stayed cleaner. You can have a very enjoyable time in this pool.
During our stay, the beach was rough, and in fact, the red flags were up a couple of days, meaning an alert for strong currents. If you are careful, or in days when the sea is calmer, you can go in and spend a very relaxing time in the ocean. The view is fantastic!
Overall, this area is fantastic for photography. If you like to wake up early in the morning, you can witness fantastic views of the sunrise. During a clear day, you can see Vieques Island in the distance. Palm trees, the ocean view, sunrises, clear starry nights (you can even see the Milky Way stars!)... this place is just beautiful!
Puerto Rico is a beautiful island with MANY places to visit and things to do. The owners has information (inside a basket in the kitchen) about things to do and places to visit. We were pleased with dinners we had at Bistro Rico Rest. (at the Marina) and the restaurant at the Golf Club House (Chef Gaby did a good job!). We enjoyed being there and visit with some friends that are permanent residents of Palmas.
Our only regret was not to have had the Club passes ahead of time and having to limit our outdoor activities for one day due to the passing of a tropical storm.
We definitely recommend this property and Palmas del Mar. You can make it as relaxing and peaceful or as active and adventurous as you want.

Exceptional, pristine condo. Beautifully appointed and it has everything needed for a vacation in paradise. Owners are very accommodating.
