Está cerca del centro, caminábamos 15 minutos aprox., el desayuno no lo probamos ningún día porque siempre salimos temprano a los tours así que nos daban un pequeño snack (tal vez esto deba mejorar). La habitación siempre limpia, impecable.

The Host was super friendly and always there if we had questions. Super comfy bed and a very clean room. Breakfast was good. Good location- a little outside of main street. Just a short walk. There was a little open area in front of the rooms, which was nice to sit outside during the day.

Quite noisy and a little bit cold. However our host gave us a heating as we asked for it. That was very nice and afterwards it was warm enough.

Went in the middle of winter, so room felt cold even with the heater on. I think this is probably true of most hostels though.

Friendly and helpful staff, the location is near to bus terminal and walking distance around 10 mins to downtown.

The owner was so accommodating. He went out of the way to make sure I had breakfast and a snack, even when tours started super early. He helped with booking my shuttle to and from the airport. He and his family were lovely! It was also nice that there was a mini grocery store at the corner of the street that operates from about 6:30am to 10pm in case you need water, snacks or toiletries. It is a pleasant and safe 10 min walk to the main street.

The owner was exceptional - spoke very good English - so attentive - always there to answer any questions - arranged tours fir us - breakfast was very good.

Because there was a double & a single bed in the room there was just no space for anything else - not even a chair! The bathroom was very small also. As we spent a lot of time on tours & so luckily didn't need to sit around in the room during the day or evening.

Family owned Hostal near Bus-Terminal with personal service of owner. Good place to stay as owner very helpful and honest. He helped us through the jungle of tour-operators, as it is difficult to select the right ones with quality-service in the tourist-overcrowded San Pedro de Atacama.

Victor is the most attentive and decent host that you will find. He gave us the best suggestions for tours and even packed our breakfast when we were leaving for an early trip. He treats his guests like family so we are truly lucky to stay there. We will be back next year! Thanks from Darragh & Nareth

The host Victor is extremely kind and helpful. He knows all the highlights very well and makes still suggestions which additional activities are possible on the way to or from the main destination. He knows where to eat good and decent and as well simple and good. If we could give him more than five stars we would give him at least eight...😉

Victor is the most friendly, wonderful host. The place is so quiet, particularly at night and it is very clean too. Breakfast is typical with cereal, bread etc but Victor also cheerfully scrambles eggs too. Location is a five or ten minute walk from the main centre and street which is a good thing. It is close to the bus station, and also the three restaurants nearby are all good and good value too - especially when compared to the overpriced places in the town centre. Ideal for families to eat at reasonable prices, and there is also a couple of playparks nearby.

We loved everything about our stay at Illari Hostel, we arrived very early in the morning, due to the nightbus schedule. Victor let us in to the room at 8 am without any extra cost. He made us feel at home and both Victor and his family are always there to help guests. The room was super clean and spacious, the hostel was very quiet at night so we could rest well. The water was always hot in the shower and the breakfast was excellent! Victor is such a sweetheart and we would recommend anyone staying in San Pedro to book his hostel!!

Very nice Hostal, around 10 Minutes away from the main square by foot. The host is really nice, speaks English very well and helps you with everything! The breakfast is delicious! We really enjoyed our stay here!

The owner Victor and his family are true gems! Made us feel at home, gave great advice on where we could go, how to reach certain destinations and where to get tickets etc and even spoke good English. You can get your clothes washed as well, which was so helpfull. Breakfast was one of the best weve had in Chile so far with scrambled eggs, cereal, bread. The rooms are spotlessly clean, without a single grain of sand and the showers provide hot water. Overall I just highly reccomend Hostal Illari. If I visit San Pedro again, I will for sure stay here :)

The host deserved a '10' just on his own. I don't think I've ever had such a kind and helpful host. Nothing was too much trouble and he went out of his way to help us have a great time in San Pedro de Atacama. The hostel was also very nice. The room is simple but comfortable and clean. Having a private bathroom at that price is also great value.The shower always had hot water. The WiFi was generally okay - which is amazing for San Pedro de Atacama. The breakfast was simple but nice. The hostel is also linked to a tour agency, which was helpful. It is only a ten minute walk into the centre of town but there are a couple of food shops just around the corner and the host let us use their kitchen to cook a couple of meals. Basically it had everything we wanted for our trip. We would definitely stay here again!

The hosts were very kind and attentive, I really enjoyed my stay in this place, and I am happy I decided to go for it reading reviews from other people. My room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. In my previous hotel in Chile I was paying $13 for ky breakfast, and it was not even near as good as what I had in here. Highly recommend if you want to stay in San Pedro de Atacama.

Everything was great.

The hosts were so nice and helped with everything! We experienced such a great time there. The bed is really comfy and it is really quiet. Walking distance to main street of restaurants: 10 minutes

- could be better breakfast - hot water was on/off - we had a early pick up to tour, but there was not enyone to let us out. Luckily we managed to unlock the main door by ourselves

I love the people here! When I arrived, after midnight, they made a great meal for me. And we all ate together. This was I had a long bus ride that day and was very hungry. They will help you in anything you’ll need Beds are great!
