Lovely, comfy and just what was required. Caroline has made the barn to be a relaxing, quiet and thoroughly enjoyable environment. Highly recommended, with all the local amenities you require.

Nice little one bed accommodation, it had all that we needed. Garden space too.

The super king bed was two singles put together so could feel the gap , comfy if you stayed on your ownside, the sofa was too soft for me and gave me back ache.

The Barn is a perfect little cottage for 2 people, for a short break. Was very close to the High street in Bishops Lydeard and walking distance to pubs, shops etc, so very convenient. Parking was right outside the property, so an added bonus. The main purpose of our break was a trip on the West Somerset Steam Train and this was a very short distance away, so easily accessible. (Can thoroughly recommend this trip, through lovely countryside and along beautiful coastline)

Caroline was very welcoming and willing to supply anything we needed. The cottage was cosy and warm & everything was supplied that you would need, like home from home. The village has a local shop for any extras and there were 2 pubs and a small cafe if you wanted to stop for refreshments when out walking. Only 20 mins to Watchet harbour if you wanted to venture out further. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend there.

The pictures are not accurate, furniture was old and sofa was very uncomfortable. The kitchen was dark and no oven meant that cooking facilities were very limitedTV was the size of a laptop and had only basic channels [not usually of importance to us but when we were staying there, the weather was dreadful and we were stuck inside) We have stayed at many locations on this trip and this was the only one that didn’t provide some form of welcome pack. The whole place needs modernising .

Caroline was an amazing host: approachable, helpful , informative & extremely obliging. The Barn is private with use of nice garden, quiet and peaceful, cosy and comfortable accommodation Shower had lovely strong pressure

The accommodation was perfect for a peaceful and restful stay. The hosts, Caroline and John, welcome you to the property to let you know they are on hand if needed, but do not interfere with your privacy. The accommodation is lovely and in such a lovely peaceful village. Thoroughly recommended :)

There was nothing not to like

Sparkling Clean, Private Parking, Very good central heating, excellent shower. Helpful host and flexible with check-in timing. Self check-in provided which is great with the on-going pandemic.

No cooker hood or window in the kitchen area. Large windows with good ventilation in the open-plan lounge though. Wasn't a problem for me. The microwave with grill and Oven function was handy as well.
