Stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Bed slept terrible and badly needs replacing. Carpet very old, worn out and tracked up. Wallpaper in hallway separating and popping off wall in many places. This hotel needs to be totally refurbished. Outside lawn area looks very bad and irrigation obviously not working as lawn is very dry and unkept. I’ve stayed here many times in the past.. but never again. Very substandard in my opinion. .

The room had a dirty smell to it, so I actually pulled the a/c filters and as soon as I did, dust/dirt balls started falling out like they hadn't been cleaned in 6 months or so. There was other objects on the floor from a previous stay, so I know it wasn't vacuumed. The toilet was very loose and rocked back and forth. I asked for another room, but was told there wasn't anything available for me, so I checked out and went to another hotel. I was told that I would be fully refunded for the room that I didn't stay in, but that hasn't happened yet and it's been six days. I've tried calling the manager Jim Pappas everyday, but he refuses to return my phone calls.

When we got into the room it smelled of mildew and my sister has asthma the whole time were there. We both have bad back and arthritis the toliet was very low we had to fall to sit on them. In the description it sales toliets were higher than the one in our room. The beds were hard as a rock. We called down stairs all they had was a queen size handicapped room and my sister and i are big girls we could not sleep in a queen bed. We checked out moved in Comfort inn they were very accomadating let me check room before paying. I woukd like my money back for 2 nights i paid for.

We stayed in three different hotels in our recent trip to the Gulf Coast (AL and MS) and the Hampton Inn was by far the best. Front desk staff was sincerely friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was yummy and had a lot to choose from. We had a balcony from which we could see Mobile Bay. Liked the traditional layout of the room as the two previous hotels had frosted glass doors on the bathroom, which faced the room, rather than a traditional hard door.

The hotel was conveniently located by the freeway, which allowed us to come and go easily. The hotel was clean, the room was comfortable, staff was nice. We did not eat the breakfast only the coffee. Room had a fee small items that could use a little repair but not bad. We were pleased.

I found the property well maintained. The AC held off the Alabama heat and kept the room cool. Despite a computer failure (Hilton-wide) the staff graciously accepted my wife’s insulin until we got back from our function. They assured us we had a room. I noticed all the staff made an effort to engage in pleasant exchanges.

This hotel has really poor ventilation system in the bathroom. There was not an actual fan only a small vent that could not remove the humidity after showering. This became an issue as the room was extremely humid and uncomfortable. The room had a balcony and so we decided to open the door to create a draft but there were people smoking and vaping on the other balconies and we had to close the door. The ice machine was out of order the entire week of our stay there.

No instructions at check in about my responsibility to place trash and used towels outside the door daily. What a shock after being gone all day, to return to a room in disarray. After going to the front desk we were told our responsibility and that they clean rooms every other day. Even that didn't happen. It's a shame they didn't mention these details on the website. I would not pay a hotel to work for free.Because Hampton Inn omitted the full particulars about assigning guest housekeeping duties my selection of this hotel was based on a lack of knowledge. Very disappointing experience.

At first things seemed ok, staff was friendly (so we thought), room was clean but had an odd smell, balcony furniture was dirty and broken as well as the door to the balcony was also broken. Here's the kicker..less than an hour before we checked out a $50 and $60 separate charge were made to my account. I called to see why, and was told that we were "smoking cigarettes" in the room?? False. We don't even smoke cigarettes. It's very upsetting considering we already paid almost $150 for one night, made sure our room was tidy, even went as far as to leave the housekeeper a tip. I left a message with the manager and was never called back. So beware for false charges made to your account. Definitely won't be staying again.

The Hampton Inn Mobile was an excellent dog friendly place to stay with access to walking trails and boardwalks. Loved the location if traveling with a dog.

The view out my window was amazing, and so welcome after driving 8 hours. The desk person gave me a list of local restaurants and recommended one where I could see the sun set with dinner. Great breakfast looking at the bay!

The grounds were very pretty. Hotel was attractive. Inside very clean. My room was not what I had confirmed with Expedia. We were to have 2 queens with an accessible walk-in shower. I am disabled where I can’t get in a shower within the bathtub. THAT is reason enough to give me a refund. I went with Expedia because it sponsors my favorite show- The Amazing Race. The check in lady sent us to 3 rooms before we got a double queen with a tub. She told me they could not guarantee me what I had confirmed but to take it up with Expedia so that’s what I’m doing. This is the first time I’ve used Expedia.

I would recommend the sofabed be replaced in my room, because it is old and torn. Otherwise all was fine.

Demarcus was a delight helping me check in I might have his name wrong he was helpful with suggestions for local restaurants and activities and has awesome customer service. Only issue was the pipes in the bathroom would run continuously and make loud noises at random times throughout the night. Other than that I would definitely try again when in area. Get the Bayview and definitely walk the gator boardwalk next to the property.
