The front desk never answers their phone, room service took forever, there was a dead fly in our room upon check in, and when more congregated during our stay, staff did little to remedy the problem. Apart from that, the area was great, with local transportation and bistros.

My new go to hotel in Hamburg!!!

Loved this hotel! The amenities are amazing

Beautiful 5 star hotel in an amazing location. The rooms were updated in a tasteful and chic way. The location is right by the train station and in an area with reseaurants and coffee shops. It is walking distance to the beautiful city hall. Would definitely come back.

Was for business trip and I don’t book steigenberger for long time because last time I booked it the spa was not working This time it was working which was great Sauna and steam were working but other facilities were off except gym Comfortable stay and love the location and the close access to everything

A/C didn’t work, the menu of the room service is in german, once we translated the food is only german food, and once we call to order, the say that they are out of food. The staff of the breakfast restaurant have no kindness at all. IT’S NOT A FIVE STAR HOTEL, maybe a one star.

Nicely arranged rooms. Good location. What is not 5* quality is the fact that you only get a complimentary bottle of water on your first night of the stay. Next day you are not eligible for one more. Minibar - none, the card on the fridge tells you to go to the lobby and get whatever you need from a vending machine. Again, not a 5* hotel service. Wooden decors over the beds are a killer for the cleaning staff aparently, as dust settles there and is not removed. Drilling (lasting for more than 1,5 hours) in a room above our rooms at 9:40 in the morning could be handled a bit better. Painting of the common arreas going on the whole day, with foils sticking out from the walls/ ceilings throughout the day and night. It is like your 5* stay is partially delivered in a construction area, with no word on it from the hotel staff.

Nice clean hotel. Close to everything. Depending on price I would stay again. Sauna is very nice. Gym isn’t very good. Not much weights. Parking not included. Cost $34euros a day. Expensive for sure. 25 min from airport.

The hotel is well located, close to two U and S Bahn stations (the S1 providing a direct link to the airport) and very close to the old town and shopping areas. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and the area was peaceful.

Very central hotel, nice area with good restaurants close by. Staff was not the friendliest and room keeping did not pay attention to the DND sign but apart from that, room was good bed very comfy.

The heating and cooling system was not working during my stay and the nights were miserable hot. The room service menu is also extremely limted. The rest was fine.

Had to change room twice since the bathroom was dirty.

Everything is great just not sure why the Lift is not responding to my Door Card and i have to get service staff to tap for me every single time until i check out... the service staff attempted to resolve the issue multiples time but to no avail

I was suprised that the service level wasn’t what you could expect from a five star hotel. I didn’t for example get a bathtube although that was asked beforehand. I was told wrong information also regarding the mini bar. However breakfest was excellent (still overpriced) and the views from the room where great! Wasn’t really 5 star experience like I hoped based on the price but a good one still.

The hotel is centrally located near shopping, public transportation, and restaurants.

The hotel is super clean and neat, the breakfast buffet was very good and the staff is very helpful. Great place to stay.

Everything ok!

The sauna was not available due to maintenance and the gym is small and located in an inconvenient place. Other than this very good hotel.

Check in was an indifferent experience. There was no welcome and was not offered a restaurant or asked about anything in detail. Would have preferred a check-in machine. Room spacious, but no information available and the minibar was spared. Nothing to do with 5*. The front desk could not help with an I-phone charger and was also unable to help with opening hours of common shops nearby where one could be purchased. Had to leave a day early. The only positive thing was that they asked me if it had anything to do with the hotel. On departure I forgot a shirt, which the hotel then threw out or at least lost. All in all, a terrible experience. There are many much better alternatives in Hamburg. Not recommended.

Very chic and nice hotel but sauna was not working and gym is very small. It’s in a very good location close to central and public transport.

Parking was very limited.
