Good value hotel for a location just outside Altstadt - it's about 200m away/5 minute walk from Bruhl's Terrace. The rooms are nice, spacious and most offer a decent view. My only issue was the WiFI which was atrocious, almost unusable.

Convenient location close to city centre. The rooms were large and comfortable. The safe that was supposed to be there according to the description of the amenities had been removed. According to the reception: "It isn't worth it." View of the Elbe limited, because the hotel is more or less sideways to the river.

Very good service in the reception. Big room with a perfect view (12th floor). Everything was perfect except an overpriced breakfast. 14 euros for an empty buffet.

Everything was good. Only thing that I would complain is the fact that the hotel didn't have air conditioning. The hotel is located just next to the old down and one can just walk within 5-10 minutes.

The Hotel Am Terrassenufer offers a convenient and comfortable base from which to explore the remarkable city of Dresden and its surrounding landscape. I encountered friendly and helpful staff, my room was spacious, elegant and bright, and the breakfasts were something to look forward to. The hotel offers a laundry service, and a restaurant which is open on most days of the week. Just walking distance from the historic Innere Altstadt. If you can, try and secure a room with a view over the River Elbe. I would be pleased to stay here again when I visit Dresden again.

You can walk to the Altstadt in 10 minutes or to the VW Transparent Factory in 15 min and have a room with gorgeous views over the River and city by staying here. Very easy to find if you are driving and even though the hotel does not have it's own parking lot/garage, there is street parking available next to the hotel for up to 3 days which you pay for at a pay station and leave the receipt on your dashboard. We didn't even use our car during our stay as we could walk to the Altstadt in 10 minutes and to the VW Transparent Factory in 15 min. As the hotel is located right on the edge of the Elbe River the rooms have beautiful views, especially awesome at night. The riverwalk is lovely and easily accessible. Typical of European hotels, the breakfast is expensive so we only did that once. There is no coffee pot in the room, however, and the closest coffee shop is about an 8 minute walk. There are 2 grocery stores nearby and you can catch a tram about 2 blocks way. We would definitely stay here again!

The staff room size and location as well as view from my room were excellent. The breakfast buffet was also excellent.

The room was OK and with space. We had a room with a view to the Frauenkirche and to the Elbe. The hotel is placed outside the City with nothing in the neighborhod. Not a cafe, a bar, a restaurant, or a shop. Stayed for three nights. Too days the maid locked herself in without knocking, one day it happened at 8:30 and we were still asleep. There was no “do not disturb” sign available.

This was a very convenient hotel, only a 10 minute walk into the centre of old town. It’s an older hotel, with simple amenities, but clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again

Very nice stay. Reception and dining staff were pleasant and helpful. The building doesnt look that great from the outside but inside is spacious and modern. My room was large with a lovely view towards the river and town. I was on the top floor. It isnt a deluxe hotel, crammed with facilities but, then, you are not paying a commensurate price. All in all, a very good tourist/business stay in a quiet area within a few minutes walk of the town. The only slight negative was the flat, floppy pillows, which I have found in other hotels too.

Inside the rooms there needs to be air con as it can get hot.

Great location close to city center. Generally good and clean hotel. Little bit remind me Soviet era hotels, but overall fine.

After stating he didn't speak English, the attendant at the check-in desk began speaking English after a few boggled attempts at communicating with my wife. I know it's Germany not the U.S., but if you can speak English why would you lie?

Very good hotel with some minor issues. Beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms were large. Staff were excellent as was dinner. The location is excellent for visiting the city centre. The slightly negative aspects were that the hotel is beginning to feel a little tired, the breakfast was good but not great and the seating area in reception is soulless. Overall Id very happily stay at this hotel again.

great location, spacious room - not super modern or anything but didnt have any complaints. not a lot of anything near by, like stores, but good walking distance to major tourist sites if you walk along the river. also close to the tram and only a few stops to the main train station.

The staff were friendly. The hotel was clean and convenient to transport and the meals were good at a reasonable price

Staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast but did not otherwise eat at the hotel. The bedroom was large and well appointed.
